I was so excited to have a grilled cheese sandwich on this cold and rainy day. While I waited patiently, I watched a young man near the grill texting or something on his cell phone with his black food service gloves on. Soon after, my sandwich came of the griddle and he manhandled my sandwich (with those same gloves on) while wrapping it up in foil. I just wonder, is his cell phone clean? I bet he doesn't sneeze on it, use it while in the bathroom, etc..... just made me sick! Owners should not allow cell phone use while working. read more

Found this cute little food truck right on the seaside square! Didn't know much about it but was in the mood for a grilled cheese & this place looked delicious, turned out, it was!!! I got the Smokin' Turkey which was turkey, cheese, bacon and avocado with a little spicy sauce on it and it was super delicious!!! Even the bread tasted homemade and very fresh, I absolutely loved it. The only complaint was how long it took, probably 20-25 min just to make a sandwich when it wasn't even the lunch rush. Best on the menu is Strawberry Goat Forever (goat cheese, strawberry preserves, prosciutto) - just the right mixture of savory and sweet, admittedly coming from someone who loves goat cheese. This Little Figgy (Brie, bacon, sweet fig compote) was very sweet in comparison. Cuban McConnell (pulled pork, brown bag ham, gruyere, pickles, mustard sauce) was okay. Overall it took them a little bit longer compared to the other food trucks (Beach Dogs, Crepes du Soleil) to make - but worth the wait. We decided to get dinner from the wide selection of airstreams in Seaside Square on Friday Family night with movie playing in the amphitheater. I went to make a payment and the gentlemen explained to me that he can't take cash. I know most places do this now & that's not the issue. The issue was the poor delivery. nice staff, good variety of grilled cheese options. myself and fiancé waited a long time as it was during the lunch hour that we stopped to eat. it was our first time and we enjoyed it. the place has minimal seating and little shade while waiting in line, which is to be expected from an outdoor food truck, but i was disappointed with the chip selection at the time. they had run out of almost all of their usual options and could not offer me anything else from the back other than what was already out when I asked for other options. However, when I walked back by later, their chips were restocked, which would have been nice when I went through. Overall, it was a decent experience. read more

Well, it's grilled cheese so that's a good start but in the expanding world of grilled cheese spots this one actually exceeds what you might make at home (assuming you know your way around the kitchen). There is always a line but we arrived at opening, and got it for a slightly delayed lunch. Seems to open around 11. The day we were there, there were several items already on the board that were listed out of, including bacon. uh oh. But I was able to redirect to the Strawberry Jam, Goat Cheese and Ham and it was better than I hoped! There was a daily special (unlisted but ask about it) that was 3 cheese and Bacon Jam, winner! read more

Large, plush slices of Texas toast with enough butter to grease a door hinge. Sandwiches cut into two triangles. They were all out of arugula, but my heart had been set on goat cheese and prosciutto so they acquiesced to my request for a basil substitution. Perhaps not the wisest choice. Tomato cut through the richness from the crisped bits of prosciutto, but the goat cheese wasn't really ideal for a grilled cheese sammy. The three cheese on the other hand? Baller. Cheddar dominated, but the gouda and gruyere were excellent supporting actors. Big Cheese of DC, take note: every bite oozed cheese, and the layered melty goodness was apparent to taste and vision with every bite. There is a hole row of food trucks, which makes it fun to grab dinner & dessert from different spots. The menu has a ton of amazing sounding options, which made it hard to pick. A few of the menu items were sold out, so that helped to narrow down my options for me. The smoked turkey had avocado, bacon, turkey & cheese. It was a really generous portion and very filling. I ate my sandwich overlooking the green space in the town center and the weather was so nice outside. Walking along past the row of food trucks near the amphitheatre in the Center Square of Seasdie, my dear friend said that I needed a grilled pimento cheese. To which I replied "With bacon!" I'd just finished a half marathon and the Whole30. While I know that you're supposed to ease yourself back into eating grains and cheese, Grilled pimento cheese with bacon just couldn't be resisted.
