I love this place! Melt is great to place go for great food. The interior is really cool and the food is amazing. They have a wood burning pizza oven which makes for spectacular pizza. The ham and turkey melt is so cheesy and delicious. They also have good drinks and service. I have never been to a place where I can say I wouldn't change anything. We visited for the first time tonight and had the patty melt and the fish and chips, both with fries. The fries are beer battered and some of the best we've ever had. The patty melt comes on Texas toast and was delicious. The fish and chips comes with an awesome jalapeno tartar sauce. Jeff, our server, took excellent care of us! A nice eating establishment on Broadway at the Beach. Wife and I ordered a Mac&Cheese melt sandwich with fries and a loaded baked potato pizza. The melt was pretty good - although the Mac&Cheese was a little bland and needed some seasoning. Baked potato pizza - well, that was quite an interesting concept, but it wasn't bad though. A mixed drink, two entrees, and dessert was $50 after tip. Not terrible - just a little on the pricey side for two people, but definitely good. We will be sure to be back! read more

OMG!! Seriously a best kept secret! We walked all over the boardwalk looking for 'something different' to have for dinner. The main chains were PACKED and honestly I was having a hard time finding something I wanted on their menus. We walked right in to Melt and I couldn't decide what to get on the menu because I wanted to try it all. We ended up having a wood fired pizza (amazing crust and toppings), the ribs were literally the best we have ever had (the sauce sweet and spicy and cooked to perfection) and a sitilly melt (a ramped up grilled cheese that includes a fried green tomato). Don't forget their award winning desserts too. All in all this was the BEST food we have had out on our entire trip, plus fast seating and a great attentive and friendly staff (Pete made the best recommendations and was very helpful and attentive!) Waited until noon to go after originally planning 11 because that's what the website said. Upon arrival at 12:10 found the doors all locked called and was told they had just unlocked the door so we went back and the purple haired waitress on the patio abruptly told us we would have to wait they just were not ready. Never been treated so rudely so we abruptly left and went to the American tap house and received excellent service. So if you don't care about your time go ahead and give it a try. read more

Great food and service! We had the Melt chips to start and I was pleasantly surprised. The chips are house made and super fresh. The combination of the tastes with the bacon, cheese, bbq was perfect. Melt is a cozy restaurant/bar that should satisfy casual browsers of Broadway at the Beach for a good-enough evening dinner. The dining areas are laid out comfortably with televisions on two floors as well as outdoor seating in the back. I like that tables are not cramped in the otherwise smallish space. My family sat in the booths which have terrible shared backrests with adjacent booths - so distracting that I would have switched to a table had a customer sat behind me. Fix these! I decided to sample two mains, a pepperoni pizza and cajun pasta. While the wood-fired oven provides good ambiance, all I care about is the end product. Mostly it was just OK, neither great nor awful, good enough to satisfy someone tired and hungry. It definitely needs to be crispier; mine was a flop-fest and greasy. I was very pleased with the pasta - such diverse flavors, but the chicken was a bit on the dry/tough side (overcooked) and needed more seasoning. The quality of the food needs to improve for the prices being charged, but what I tasted is definitely a good start. The flavors are there but extra love is required to make this restaurant be the culmination of a memorable night at Broadway at the Beach. read more

Melt is tucked away from the bigger named restaurants on Broadway and is definitely worth finding! The hostess and servers are extremely friendly and the food is seriously so good! Nothing was open on a Thursday in Feb after 7pm so after driving around we stumbled into this place. Very much so a hidden gem. Small but has two levels. When we arrived it was us, the bartender and the owner. Both were very friendly and good conversation. Bartender gave us some other ideas for the rest of our trip. Enjoyed the margarita pizza and the Buffalo. They used a sweet candied bacon for the buffalo which gave a unique sweet then hot flavor and was great. Have a few beers on tap other then your standards. Would definitely make another trip. We were told their melts were great but were in the mood for pizza this trip. read more

Usually it is good but it was empty and deaite this the chicken melt was so rubbery we could not eat them. The pits bread was rock hard. I am not sure why the quality has gone down we eat here a few times a month. Very disappointed and a waste of 70 bucks as nothing was edible. Hope they get it together and improve on quality. It was not busy so this is confusing as to why they over cooked almost everything in our order. read more

4 adults and 2 children for lunch on a Monday. We were the only patrons the entire time. Despite being empty, 1 of 5 orders arrived prepared incorrectly. The server promptly removed it. The replacement arrived in a reasonable amount of time, still, with no one else in the place they can't get 5 orders correct? The server and service were fine. The menu is overpriced for both quality and quantity. What was supposed to be BBQ pulled pork was actually chopped pork. It was the worst BBQ I have been served in SC! The sauce had a sour taste, and they offer no choice of sauces, or bring any to the table. The other sandwiches ordered were unremarkable, except for the prices, which were high. The sandwiches are all served on Texas toast, no other choice. They are served with a choice of Asian slaw, or French fries. The fries are frozen standard food warehouse mediocre. The Asian slaw also looked like it was a pre prepared food distributor ready to use product. The person that ordered the cheese pizza said it was tasteless. All around typical tourist trap location restaurant. High prices, mediocre food at best, very limited menu, and ingredients that are obviously the cheapest they can buy. We went in on a Monday around 4 the place was empty, but what could you except for an off season Monday at the beach. Bartender was friendly. They had a average beer selection, your norm you'd expect at your standard bar. The standout was the 3.00 dollar miller special. For food I ordered the loaded baked potato pizza and Sooners fries. The pizza came out nice and hot. Absolutely no flop once the pizza settles the dough was the standout here. The toppings on this particular pizza were better off by themselves. The potato's were cooked nicely Ann's were soft the cheese was good and the back was aa bit of a surprise it, it was candied the pizza came stacked with it so I was able to taste it alone which was solid but the combination of the candied bacon and the sweet white sauce that came on the pizza. The meal lacked a proper balance and my pizza tasted really sweet 6.2 on the pizza scale. The fries were good nothing special here though, I ordered a side of their Alabama white sauce which was pretty good a lot better than another place around here that offers the sauce. Overall it was good experience, I'm sure this place will do good in the summer. read more

We had an awesome experience. We were acknowledged upon entering Melt. We ordered appetizers, pork belly, ribs and chicken wings. All of the items were tasty with an Asian flavor to them. We enjoyed our entrees, kids pizza (my 5 year old had two) two personal pies and the fish melt. We enjoyed our waiter who was attentive and full of energy. The owner or perhaps manager stopped by our table. For a restaurant that's been open for less than two weeks, we enjoyed our service and food. read more
