I love mellow mushroom. Right on the corner next to the court house, great location for a pizza place and full bar. Traditional mellow mushroom, I typically go for their specialty pies like the Shiitake or Buffalo chicken, but the veggie is great, the swirl with fresh pesto, just great pizza . Service was good, came on a Saturday around 2 and crowded but was sat immediately. Cold beer and full bar help wash it all down, and don't forget their great Greek salads , or selection of salads Huge bowls so choose wisely on size if saving room for pizza. It is one of the few legitimate Restaurants in Suwanee, that is not too Chainy, too upmarket for a Family, or too dumb-dumb or basic. I find the service to always be genuine and knowledgeable, and most importantly, that their pizza and ingredients are quite good. They currently carry a fairly rare Swedish Cider I am quite fond of. Start off with the pretzel bites with the beer cheese- these are made of the Mellow famous spring water dough and are delicious! My favorite pizzas are the holy shiitake and buffalo chicken. I came here for pizza and drinks and when I ordered a Strawberry Lemon Limeade to go, this is what they gave me. When the bartender came over he basically said "yea that's the recipe". So basically that's what you get when you order the same drink, but without ice. A half cup of a drink is unacceptable for an adult especially when it's $3! The food was excellent as usual, but the server Yaramis was delightful and memorable (the server our first time at the Suwanee location this March was also great but the name is forgotten). I haven't been to one of these for YEARS and never this one. Love the surrounding park location which makes this place easy to get to and convenient. Fun exciting atmosphere which the kids loved and so did we. Friendly staff way casual with a decent bar. Original menu with great pizza ideas and fresh toppings. This is much more my kind of pizza place because it isn't the usual pepperoni or cheese pizza. Thai pizza, potato pizza, pesto, Cesar salad pizza...... love it. Of course you can go the traditional route if you want. You can even build your own salad! I can't wait to do that. But for now Igot a half and half which was a life saver cause I couldn't decide. My BF had to make his own which he branded the "meatzzia". Everyone enjoyed it and the kids thought it was like being at a Disney themed restaurant. This is a regular date night spot for my husband and I. The pizza is absolutely DELICIOUS. They have a good beer selection and we always get good service. Because it's so incredibly good, we always get the Holy Shiitake. We add ham since it doesn't have meat. If we are REALLY hungry we also grab the pretzel bites with Pabst Blue Ribbon beer cheese dip because they're ridiculously good. Seriously I could eat just the cheese straight with a spoon. When we go we always try to sit at the bar because the bartender Kinsey is the BEST! I would have definitely given 5 stars, but this place gets verrrry busy sometimes. There are times when it is impossible to get a table without a long wait, but that's the nature of the location in the Town Center. When there are big events in the Town Center or if it's a weekend at prime time you might struggle to get in. It's worth the wait though! read more

While I appreciate the response, I do not accept the explanation. We placed the same order last year at this location for her 5th birthday party, and it was executed flawlessly. We picked up the pizzas at 11AM without a hitch. If this was going to be a problem this year, then it should have been communicated to us as such when we phoned earlier in the week. We've been using this Mellow Mushroom since it opened and for years the customer service has been on a steady decline. Tonight was the last time we'll try to compromise service for good pizza. We had an advanced delivery order in place and over an hour after they "started" (15 minutes before the actual delivery window) they simply cancelled. No reason or cares in the world, all very "so sorry, so sad." Forget trying to call for pickup instead, their phones are set to automatic answering with a "can't take your call now" recording. I understand busy, even work around it and try to plan in advance, but this location has become completely apathetic and rather than adjust their location to accommodate the demand they developed an indifferent approach to lost customers instead. Good luck to them, it will eventually add up to a significant amount of people not returning the more they treat people like this. It's all rather sad. read more

When the Suwanee Lights festivals went on, it was definitely not the best time to be in the Suwanee city center. Parking was bad. People everywhere. Kids running around causing even more traffic issues and I wasn't in the best of moods since it was late and the people who invited me called me at a bad time and I was more hangry than anything else. So during the festival, it was more for a hunt for parking and I didn't like that so much. And as my hunger grew, the less I cared to be there but since I said I'd show up, people were expecting me but I was gonna be blunt and say I was hungry. So after a while, rather than dropping $10 on food trucks, I would rather sit somewhere. Suwanee city center didn't have much in terms of food and so my options were limited but the sound of a pizza joint sounded better than expensive sandwiches and bar food so Mellow Mushroom it was. Perhaps it was a busy moment, maybe they were understaffed, maybe it was just a bad night but all that aside, it was underwhelming of an experience to say the least. I ordered their Sausagefest calzone. Can we say it wasn't at all what they claim. I didn't get any sausage or other meats, just pepperoni. On top of the lack of server check-ins, lack of refills, and poorly represented food, my experience with this place was at best subpar. Again, based on the night, perhaps it was busy due to the overwhelming plethora of people but for what it's worth, probably may consider it as a last resort. read more

I felt compelled to write this review as this specific location used to be my favorite of ALL Mellow Mushroom restaurants. My complaint is not as much the food but with the staff. We dined on a Monday evening. Upon arriving, the hostess gave no eye contact and simply asked "how many". There were three of us, not a difficult number to comprehend. No welcome to MM or good evening. How welcoming of an introduction that was. Sigh. We sat at a dirty table that was in disarray and my children even noticed just how messy the table and bench seat were. Nobody bothers to wipe down tables and seats with Covid being an ongoing issue? Not sure of the policy's in place but sitting at a dirty table is something I have an issue with. I wiped it down myself with a Clorox wipe (conceal and carry package, ha!) and doused my kids hands in hand sanitizer. The waitress, based on my receipt was "lil homie". She was attentive and polite and 100% made our dining experience tolerable. We ordered a lil Caesar and a large pepperoni pizza. The salad had what looked like delicious croutons. Nope. They were a strange mixture of damp and hard, the furthest thing from crunchy I've ever experienced. My kids asked to have one before I tried them, they both spit them out. Gross. Luckily the pizza was delicious, cooked throughly and served to us piping hot. Exactly what I expected from our "favorite pizza spot". I understand that the labor shortage has created a need for staff that makes a good place great. But at what point does proper customer service training take a back seat in an establishment that in the past has exceeded our expectations? You can't rely on the food alone to make MM Suwanee a place that will enjoy the luxury of return customers. Please, train your staff to care about the people who eat there. Or close the dining area and make it to-go only. Make Mellow Mushroom great again. Lol. read more

The atmosphere here is great and the food is pretty good too. All the servers are extremely friendly and handle children pretty well. My wife and I split a veggie calzone and a burger. The Mrs. forgot to add cheese to the burger but they quickly brought out 2 slices of cheese (after asking her what kind of cheese she would like). I also had a slice of the house pizza - it was okay - but I'm an ex-New Yorker and am pretty picky with my pizza. The kids menu is a coloring placemat and they give each kid a brand new (tiny) box of 4 full size crayons. My kids really enjoyed this place! Located in Suwanee Town Center right by city hall. Lots of parking in the back of the apartments. Went on trivia night which was a Tuesday. I would recommend you go early if trying to play trivia. There was a bit of a wait, the place was packed. They do offer takeout/pickup options as well. Just head inside to the back of the restaurant by the bar. Seems like ordering ahead is the best option. They do serve beer here and had a pretty good selection to choose from. Several rotating taps as well. Received a free order of pretzel bites just for checking in. I would go back just for those! They were so good! They come with a cheese sauce that was also delightful. I wanted to drink it. Ordered a meat lover's type pizza with thin crust. It was very good. The meats were all very crunchy on the edges and perfectly cooked. Cheese to sauce ratio was on point! They also have some vegan options and non pizza menu items. And 2 pizzas were messed up, and one of them was messed up twice. (Plus the Shirley temples don't have much cherry syrup). The Naked wings have sauce on them and are spicy. This is my chosen pizza place from now on. As I was putting my to-go pizza on the other side of my car, the car locked behind me... locking my phone, keys, wallet, etc. in the car. After beginning crying because it was raining and I had arms full of pizza and salad, I went inside simply asking to use the phone. The hostess let me use her phone to call my husband and then let me sit in one of the booths by the door so I could be close to the door without getting wet. She proceeded to hand me the phone every time my husband called asking where the keys were. More staff members checked on me as I sat at the booth almost to the point of tears. They reassured me that I was okay to take up a booth. That meant the world. Then, after my family called to ask if I had picked up the pizza (since they hadn't heard from me in a while), Dylan came over and asked if I wanted a soft drink or a water while I waited. He also put the pizzas I had bought in the oven so they would stay warm while I waited. The staff and management I'm sure, let me sit there for two hours. Dylan even brought my husband a water as we waited for the locksmith and gave us plates to eat our to go pizzas on as we waited. Because of the kindness shown to me on a horrible night, I will rave about this location. We love mellow mushroom, and the staff at this location really went out of their way to help me. It's been about a year now since we had extremely bad pizza's served to us on multiple occasions so I thought I would give it another go. Much much better now. Our pizza was not even warm when we got it home. We live about 5 mins fr the restaurant. The Buffalo Wings tasted like cooked chicken. There's no Buffalo flavor whatsoever. This is not the mellow mushrooms I am used to 30 years ago. Our bill was almost $70. What a waste of money. read more

I love this place! They always have ice cold beer - I mean ICE COLD. A lot of places give you beer but it is kinda cold but not super cold but this place will serve you right. The pizza is amazing. My family always drive all the way here to get pizza even though we have 2 mellow mushrooms closer to home. The servers are really kind and fun - I never once had a bad experience with the servers. It seems like this place is crowded all the time but it makes sense to me knowing how good their food is. When you come here next time, try HOLYSHITAKE Pizza. This place is small so get here before the usual rush times. It's empty at 3:00 on a Sunday. I've had several of their pizzas and they've been good. The Calzones are good and the Hoagies are good too. I've had the Turkey & Swiss on French bread a few times and it's really good! If you're looking for the stoner appeal of the old Mellow Mushrooms you will not find it here. Yeah you see 420 plastered all over the place but the Hippie vibe is severely lacking! So my disclaimer is...I'm fully aware that I was just at another Mellow Mushroom location over the past weekend (don't judge me) BUT I came across this location in Suwanee and I wanted to catch their lunch special and get a slice (opposed to a full pizza). Generally I always miss the 2pm deadline, but today I caught it just 20 mins shy of the cutoff. The lunch special is $8.50 for 2 slices and a drink. Any special toppings come with an additional charge, but it's still better than buying a full pizza as it can get super expensive with multiple toppings...believe me. In addition, the lunch slices are a pretty good size, so for most it only takes one. I ordered two, thinking I could eat them, but I still have an entire slice left that I'm taking home with me. This place is very clean and much more modern/updated than the previous location I visited. It's located inside of Suwanee Town Center, and there's plenty of open parking nearby. Great atmosphere...everyone was friendly, and Lex (the day manager) took good care of me at the bar! This location will definitely be my 'go to' from now on. read more

My experience here was sub-par to those of other MMs. We came for a weekday lunch. I ordered the lunch special, a salad and a slice + soda for $7.50. I "upgraded" from a tossed salad to a caesar and my salad was literally swimming in sauce. Even my tablemates noticed that there was far too much dressing. My slice of cheese tasted like it had been out of the oven for a while. Some of the cheese had hardened (!). Even the crust (the best part of MM pizza, duh) just wasn't up to snuff. Service was fine, and it was fairly busy for a lunch crowd. But with lots of other lunch choices in this area, this MM location won't be getting my business again anytime soon. read more

We absolutely LOVE this pizza place. The theme is a fun stoned mushroom. Who can't love that?? The pizza is surprisingly great for a franchise. They have some local beers. I dunno, we just like everything about it. This location is fun because its in the Suwanee Town Center. There is a big green space for playing with the kids or your dog. There are some neat little shops to wander around in. There are some fun events throughout the year. Check it out if you haven't been here, I think you'll dig it the most. We probably stop by here every couple of months. The only drawback is that it is often quite crowded due to the location at Suwanee Town Center. Weeknights or lunches on the weekend are usually not too bad, crowd-wise. Pizzas and subs are both good here.
