This was my first time trying Cooley's Pizza and I have to say I'm very disappointed. The first thing I noticed when I picked up my pizza was the side of the box said "Respect your Teachers" and I'm thinking "You're not my dad" . What a weird thing to put on the side of a pizza box, it's already trying to shame me and I haven't even taken a bite yet. Then I notice the other side of the box says "Respect the Police". Ok now I get it, this is a political statement. I honestly don't care if an organization makes a political statement, everyone is entitled to their opinion and I respect it. I think it's a bad business decision to make one, but that's up to them. Specifically the problem with putting a statement like "respect the police" on a pizza box is you're instantly undermining critical thought. You're teaching kids/people to give blind trust and respect to someone just because of what their job is. And even more obvious is this statement in the current political climate is a shot against people who are protesting because of very obvious police brutality and abuse of power. If the answer to people who have been hurt, killed, or abused by police officers is "respect the police" then all you're doing is empowering that same hurt, killing, and abuse to continue to happen. Nothing is as simple as "respect fill in the blank". I think everyone would agree that there's some police officers that don't deserve our respect, just like there's some people in all types of jobs that don't deserve our respect. If my kid came home and told me that their teacher was verbally or physically abusing them or worse, my response wouldn't be "respect your teachers". That's exactly what's happening at the moment - people are trying to tell us that they're being hurt by people in power. I don't think the answer is just "respect them". In fact, I think that's a very dangerous response and maybe the least helpful response you could make. And as far as the food goes, the pizza was actually really good, I highly recommend it. read more

My family was looking for a good pizza shop in the area and let me just say this one was definitely a miss. The food was just not good. My family and I ordered a cheese pizza and a "dirty bird" pizza they were so dry it tasted like cheese and toppings on cardboard. Not to mention their service was equally as horrible. Their owner is just an entitled prick. Definitely telling everyone to steer clear of this place! 1 star because I have to give one but it was definitely a zero star place. read more

This is the best pizza place in Georgia by a long shot. Dont sleep on their wings and their great salads either. Their gluten free pizza is the best around. You literally can't find a better one than their bacon cheeseburger gluten free pie. It's top tier. And then throw in that they are phenomenal people and always friendly and helpful. The owners deserve high praise for hiring good people and running their establishment to the best it can be. This place shines. I have been there twice as I don't live close by. I had the spinach dip twice. I love it. It is creamy and tasty! It is served with soft, warm pita wedges?The pizza is perfect. The crust has the perfect crunch! It is very flavorful. The cheese has a nice stretch to it. It is heavenly! I will be going back again this weekend. I will try something different. I am so glad I finally gave them a try. Ordered for pick-up, they also have delivery. Employee was very friendly and repeated the order. Got my name off caller-ID, what a concept! Took my payment at time of order and then called when I arrived and they brought it to the car. It took about 5-minutes longer than estimated, but it was a Friday night. Pizza was delicious. Plenty of toppings and good sauce and crust. The best part is the price. They are significantly lower that what they charge across the street at Johnny's, and we both preferred the taste. This pizza place is kind of hidden from PIB, but their food is not a disappointment. Had their lemon pepper wings for the first time, we loved them!! The Italian calzone was delicious too, and of course the thin crust Firebird specialty pizza is always a must from this place. read more

I went to pick up some wings on 4/17 and was absolutely shocked and borderline insulted that NO ONE...from the kitchen crew to the kids at the front handling the money transactions...NO ONE had on masks or gloves!!!! Really? Everyone needs to play their part in being safe. Conversely, went to Domino's around the corner and EVERYONE had on masks and gloves. They had a sign on the door that said "Only 2 customers at a time please." They had blue tape on the floor 6' apart so patrons knew what the appropriate distance should be. Until Cooley's can show more respect for the current state of affairs in our country and to protect the health and safety of its customers...I'll patronize other, more considerate establishments. read more

Honestly really disappointed but not surprised considering the bad reviews already given to this place. The pizza was okay but for the price it's definitely not worth it. The owner and employees are all rude and inexperienced. Also last but not least, the pizza box has certain statements written on it which seem not only targeted but also just unnecessary for a pizza place. I called at 815pm, they close at 9pm. Placed an order for 1 large pizza. Told the guy that my boyfriend would be in a few minutes before 9pm to pick it up, but that I wanted to place the order now so they'd have it. Also told him it was ok if the pizza was ready sooner. I was trying to be courteous of their closing time. When I told the guy my boyfriend would be there closer to nine to pick it up he said "well when will he be here? Because we stop taking orders at 8:30." I said I know that that's why I'm placing the order now, but he won't be in until closer to nine. He was very short with me and said OK. I said thank you and he hung up on me. We tried 'Hoyt's Firebird' pizza with the thin crust. Both my husband and I thought it was excellent. We also had the Greek salad - very fresh. Thought about taking food pics but we ate it all. We went for lunch today and tried their specialty pizza. It was fine except I would have preferred it to have more cheese. Our pizza had very little cheese. The texture of the crust was nice. The pizza came out nice and hot. We wanted water to drink and the only option was to buy bottled water or use the dirty water fountain in the back. There are no cups for tap water. We bought bottled water. The place is small. There are only 3 small booths for dining in. Only one table was clean. There are no prices on the menu. I really didn't like that. I asked about it and was told they don't put prices on the menu so that they will not have to change the menu all the time. I don't know of any pizza place that is constantly changing their prices to the point that they can't put prices on the menu. Over all I would give them another try, but I'd take out instead. Please put prices on your menu. read more

This place was recommended for their wing. I got the buffalo for a party. They did not disappoint! We could not stop eating them and humming. If you hum when eating something really good, you can then relate, lol. I also got 2 salads and we had leftovers one will feed 3 easily. Where to start with this. We've recently moved to the area and was looking for "our" new pizza spot as we generally steer clear from the mass chains like Dominos, Pizza hut etc. Found Cooley's Pizza online with an abundance of great reviews. How or why they have gotten these 4* & 5* reviews is beyond me. We ordered an XL Greek Pizza for delivery and it was, for lack of a better word, terrible. The pizza was undercooked, greasy (hard to get thin crust greasy), lukewarm and completely bland. They use a pre-made crust ala CiCis (the one with the small holes at the bottom of the crust) and the toppings didn't even adhere to the crust. The "dipping sauce" they added to the pizza tasted... odd. Not even worth calling and complaining as they would surely just offer you a free pizza which we want no part of. If you enjoy your pizza greasy, cold and tasteless then this is your place. If not, steer clear! read more

Highly disappointed with the owner of this 'company', Andy Cooley. He is a crook and takes advantage of the teenagers that work for his company. I am all about supporting small business, but not when they steal from their employees. My son worked there, and the owner even said he was a hard worker. He went to pick up his paycheck (the week before Spring Break - my son is a senior, so they were making spring break plans), but Andy told him that day that he didn't have their checks, because he was in Mexico on vacation. Told him he would be paid the next week. My son, understandably upset, quit, because no one wants to work for free, or feel taken advantage of. Yesterday, when he went to pick up his check, Andy told him he'd get it to him in 30 days. Question is, is he too broke to pay these kids or is he just really that petty. When we went to speak with him, he was literally laughing about it. Laughing about Stealing from kids. This guy is a child, and he's petty. People work to get paid, and when they don't get paid, that is theft. Do not patronize this small business. The pizza isn't worth it for sure. Go anywhere else. read more

I ordered a Large ground beef pizza as I can not eat pork. After arguing with the delivery guy about where my apt was located because his receipt read something different than the address I put in the system, I finally received my pizza. The pizza had what looked like sausage or bacon (pork) on it instead of beef. When I called to inform them of the wrong order the person on the phone also argued with me that their ground beef looks like every else's sausage (mind you I've ordered ground beef pizza from them before, which it had a grey tint to it like all ground beef does, not red.) If they were out of ground beef for the night that's all they had to say instead of jeopardizing my health for a quick buck. I don't want a refund or another pizza, just know your business will not prosper playing dirty! read more
