Mellow Mushroom is a dependable spot for a casual date night! We arrived here about 7pm on a Friday night, and it was not busy at all - most likely due to the season. We had wonderful service from our waitress and she gave great recommendations. I haven't been here in a few months and saw the new Mellow Rollz for an appetizer. We could split and got two pepperoni and two cheese rolls. We also were able to choose two dipping sauces with it! I recommend this new app - perfect size and perfect for a pizza place to offer (I am shocked they didn't already have something like this)! I love the option to split the specialty pizzas, and the Great White and Buffalo Chicken never disappoint as I usually stick to my favorites when I come here. It was a great night for us! read more

Our waiter was great, but the one waitress was pretty rude, she works behind the bar and brought our pizza over and asked "do you need anything" then left before we even had a chance to answer so that was lame. We went for vegan pizza options. It's never consistent and this time I don't want to go back. We waited over 50 minutes for our food. My son's food took over an hour. There was barely any marinara sauce on our pizza. We were told they would take off food from our check since we waited so long. Nothing was taken off of the bill. My husband trusted they took off something and just gave the server his credit card. This was not the first time we waited an hour for food here. At least the first time they took money off the bill. My first time to go there so I was recommended to order the Holy Shiitake pizza. I was not disappointed at all. The crust was absolutely amazing, buttery and baked to perfection! It's conveniently located near Detroit Road, and Interstate ninety is not too far. It's also about expectations. Everyone is understaffed, so I always appreciate the service  staff who are working. Remember, they're busy because they're good. Mellow Mushroom has some of the best pizzas in the far westside of the Cleveland Ohio Area. I heard about it from some of my Lakewood family members. The food here is amazing. The choices are abundant. And the flavor is on point. The hostess greeted us promptly and with a smile. We were seated and our drink order was taken immediately. This pizza is always good! I come 30 miles one way just to get that taste and aroma. It freezes and reheats very well in air fryer. It smells like a five star restaurant when I heat it up. The garlic and mushrooms with the garlic pesto sauce is mouth watering delicious. read more

Destiny was our server and did an exemplary job serving 10 of us. I had a Caesar salad and Cloud 9 wings. 5 star on both. My wife had the Cobb and mild wings. She enjoyed both. After taking a hiatus from this place, I have recently started to come back. Lately I have been very impressed with the staff, kitchen and management. They are definitely on the upswing. Solid beer selection and friendly and hard working bartenders. Manager helped us tune in the sports we wanted to see. Pizza and calzones have been well executed, perfectly cooked, hot and fresh. This place does a decent job on upholding what I expect Mellow Mushroom to be. The pretzels had that slight crunch on the outside and softness in the inside that I like so much. For me, their beer cheese is the absolute best regardless of what location I'm at. I went with a Veg Out pizza (onions, green peppers, black olives, Roma tomato, and spinach) and as usual, I was happy with the toppings. The only knock on the food is that the pizza could have been cooked a bit longer as it wasn't crispy as it often is. My friend got the Mighty Meaty (pepperoni, sausage, ground beef, ham, and bacon). I tried a piece of his and I often don't care for pizza loaded with meat, but I liked the slice pretty well and so did my friend. The only knock was with the staff. We came in after a visit to the R&R Hall of Fame and we got there in between lunch and dinner and it was very slow. The staff in general seemed annoyed that we were in there. Our server was kind, but she vanished and we struggled to get the check. Another waitress passed and since it was dead, my friend tried to call her over twice and she was clearly ignoring him. Came here for Mother's Day lunch with my family and surprisingly got seated right away. Service was great and they were kid friendly and had a great selection for kids. Had them put my kid's food in first because I'm not ready to experience the hangry baby in public. Server was super nice and helpful. She was very attentive and made sure we were ok. Unfortunately, we had to get our food to go because it took a little while for our dishes to come out. (only reason was because we put our order in at the same time as the party of 6). I have to admit that when this place opened up, I thought "this is part of her chain of restaurants, and I would rather deal with somebody local because the pizza made by locally owned is better than chain pizza". Well, let me tell you,I was dead wrong. I began to frequent this establishment, more and more, and part because my granddaughter and her friends love the funky feel of the place. But don't let that fool you. The pizza is superb. The crust is some of the best I've ever had. I can't get enough of this place! It is become our go to place not for pizza but for other food as well. The menu is creative and offer a lot of options. Everything we've had here is delicious. I love the feel the place which is especially neat in summer when they open the front garage doors and the bar opens to the street. If you have kids, you should bring them here because they'll love the kids menu. If you're an adult, you'll love it because it has a great vibe, especially at the bar where you can sit and watch a baseball game and also enjoy the outdoors that comes in because of the openness. Came in on a Saturday afternoon and got sat right away. The decor in here is pretty cool, gives me of psychedelic 60's vibes. There's a shared parking lot in back and limited street parking. They have a decent selection of beer and are known for their pizza. They also have sandwiches, salads, and calzones. We had a medium pizza, two beers, and an order of the twice baked wings. The pizza we got was the Pacific Rim, which is basically a Hawaiian - bacon, ham, pineapple, and jalapeño. I found it to be below average. The crust was delicious, but the toppings lacked flavor and were not well distributed. Also they weren't diced up well so it was hard to eat. The winds were delicious. Very crispy and not overly sauced like you'd find at some places. Our bill was $50, $24 of which was the pizza. We love coming here. I haven't found another place that makes a crust like they do. They have many different ways you can order the pizza. My one complaint would be their GF pizza. It is ordinary and has NO flavor, tastes cheap, like a typical frozen one from the grocery. The setting inside has interesting creations on the walls and decor. The Pizza is great. I've been to the original in Asheville NC which is an institution in the area. I had the Kosmic Karma pizza, my favorite. I'm generally not a fan of chains, but my dad loves this place, so here we are. We've been going for a few years and the pizza and service have always been very good. Today's experience was disappointing. Our usual server was replaced by a new person who didn't listen very carefully to our order, and we ended up with a not completely satisfactory pizza.
