I'd heard about Magie for a while from friends in the natural wine scene in Orlando and had to visit while in town. There is convenient (although somewhat limited) parking just to the side of the building, and entering feels like you just entered your cool friend's house. We almost sat inside on a couple of sofas, but opted to brave the humid Miami heat on the back porch/terrace since they were playing the World Cup game on a projection screen. The back is huge and has several sitting areas, including on an elevated porch with fans, as well as couches and bistro tables set up on the pavers down below. There is foliage everywhere and you feel transported (you'd have no clue this business was on a busy road). We got a couple of bottles of wine from their fridges, along with a smattering of shareable dishes from the kitchen (ordered inside). Everything was delightful and we were loving life (again- even in the humid summer heat!). I'd definitely return and enjoy the interior next time. Love a good wine and nosh spot and this is solidly at the top of my list when visiting Miami!

I've been multiple times and it's always such a vibe. The space feels intimate and cozy while still being casual, plus they have both indoor and outdoor seating. Everything is mostly self service. You pick out your wine, pay at the register, and find a seat. They have bottles at different price points, wine by the glass, beer, and seltzers, but no liquor. You can also build your own charcuterie and they have a few hot food options. I tried the croquetas and they were amazing! Service is pretty straightforward since it's self service, and if you order food you pick it up from the window when it's ready. Such a cute, comfortable spot that I'll continue coming back to.

I'm happy for the owners that it's always so busy, because clearly they're doing something right, but that's also the one thing that sometimes deters me from going. I miss the old days when it felt a little more quaint and you could actually find a spot to sit down and hang out. I love how relaxed and unfussy the whole experience is. You grab your cheeses and hams, they put together a nice little board for you, and you just settle in and enjoy. I still haven't tried the steak, but every time I see and smell it cooking, it looks amazing. And you really can't beat the live musical acts they bring in. Some of the best musicians in Miami come through here, and I love that about it. Lagniappe is just one of those places that feels unpretentious and home-like, the kind of place you always want to come back to.

The live music is always such a highlight and creates the perfect laid-back atmosphere. Their wine selection is also top-tier. There are plenty of options to choose from, which makes it a great spot whether you're coming for a glass of wine and music or planning to hang out for a few hours. What I really love about this place is that it gives such strong "third space" vibes. It feels like somewhere you can come to relax, meet up with friends, listen to good music, and just enjoy the atmosphere without feeling rushed. The outdoor patio is huge and definitely one of my favorite parts. There's plenty of space to bring a group of friends, grab some wine, and enjoy the live music. Such a fun local spot.

The wine tasting was so fun as we were able to choose which ones we wanted to try. The servers were so helpful and knowledge on which ones to try and which to stay away from if there was one in particular you didnt like. The grounds were also very beautiful. Now to the nitty gritty... The flavors were lacking. The Bao bun's filling was dry and lacking seasoning. The dates were ok The gyoza were so small and overcooked so they were hard and dry on the inside. The wagyu tiraditos needed a few slices of bread or crustinis- something to dip in the sauce. This was the only appetizer that had flavor. As for the good service being a tad much, plates were removed before asking and quickly. Almost felt rushed. I realllly wanted to love this place. I've only heard great things and was really looking forward to it. Been wanting to come since they opened. Could they have had a bad day, sure , but for the price, I'd expect better portions and flavors. I feel like they're cutting corners and we were afraid to order entrees and be disappointed so we decided to leave after the apps. Not sure if I'd try again.

Admittedly I have only been here a couple of times, but they wow me each and every visit. And with all of the choices in Miami, that is not easy to do. Tonight we came by to celebrate a career milestone. Just me, my wife, and my very well behaved service animal, who reluctantly stayed under the table where she is supposed to be despite the temptation of all the wonderful smells in the room. Huge call out to our waitress Amanda. What a superstar. She made us feel important every second of the meal. Her service was perfect, but her attitude and her smile represented the restaurant well. She is an asset that I hope that they treasure as much as we did. Being Miami Spice time, I ordered from that menu and chose the reserve menu's crispy spicy tuna, appetizer, ribeye steak, and Belgian chocolate brownie. My wife chose the pasta Bolognese. I also ordered the Parker house pull apart bread and a potato since the full course meal did not seem to come with a side which I found strange. The appetizer was mouthwatering good. The Belgian chocolate brownie was exceptional. However, I would be disingenuous if I said that I chose wisely with the main course. Being a 16 ounce steak, it was sliced relatively thin as expected, but what they refer to as an "au jus" seem to have the taste of a reduction and literally drowned out the flavor of the meat. It did appear to be cooked perfectly, but having had the exceptional filet mignon here I would be more likely to choose that again next time. It also came with a glass of wine, which they graciously upgraded for me based on my tastes, which really smooth out the meal for me. I always enjoy the bread here and the loaded baked potato was quite a sight to see and was so large. I took home half of it. Interestingly, the highlight of the meal may have been the Papardelle Bolognese. This was a very generous order of what is probably the best Bolognese pasta dish I have ever eaten. My wife has a small appetite, so I was happy to help her out. I was also happy that enough was left that I had it for lunch the next day and liked it just as much. So if this is something you like, do not skip right past it on the menu. It is superb. The only other criticism I have is that they do have a posted dress code, which is not particularly restrictive, but does help to maintain the ambience of elegance. Part of that is no ball caps. I understand they do not want to embarrass patrons by asking them to remove their ball caps, but the table sitting next to us had two men wearing them. It does take away from the vibe, so when you visi, even if the restaurant staff is not going to embarrass you and ask you to remove them, please try to observe these very easy to follow guidelines so that we may all have that wonderful fine dining experience. And si, despite the fact that I was not completely thrilled with my steak, in all honesty I cannot give this restaurant anything less than five stars. Yes in the end it's all about the food, but this was really not a case of the food not being good, it just was not served in a way that I like it. I will still be back and most likely will order the filet mignon or the short rib, which is what I've had on prior visits and both were exceptional. Or perhaps that wonderful Bolognese. I love this place and highly recommend it.

Well this time, my boy and I swung by for HH while in the area and ordered a few of the wines on special and the croquetas. It ruined our experience as we were clearly there for HH and had ordered them (it was 4:30pm, come on, no one's at this wine bar for an ultra exclusive wine experience at this hour but ok!!). We got our checks and left, it wasn't worth sticking around for more. I was…read moregenuinely excited to check it out, especially since having a wine bar closer to home sounded great--most places around here require a drive. Unfortunately, my experience was highly disappointing. I visited on a Friday night and it didn't deliver the wine bar or speakeasy vibe it advertises. They were showing sports on the TV, and the music was so loud that I couldn't even hear my partner across the table from me. Between the TVs and the volume, it felt more like a sports bar than a cozy wine spot. The space itself also took away from the ambiance. There are large windows where you can clearly see outside and everyone can see in, and the lighting was extremely bright. For a nighttime setting, it lacked any warmth or cozy, intimate feel. Because of this, our date was cut short and we left shortly after arriving. We each ordered a glass of wine (I can't remember the name), and to be fair, the wine was actually pretty good--they definitely got that part right. However, the food was another letdown. We ordered a couple of bites, and both my partner and I agreed that they tasted like ready-made items. The hummus was especially underwhelming--I've had better hummus from Publix. We also ordered the brie, which came with only a small handful of crackers, and the brie itself wasn't melty at all, which was disappointing. Overall, I really wanted to love this place. It has a good location and a lot of potential to be something great, but unfortunately, it's just not there yet. I hope they refine the concept and ambiance because it could be a great neighborhood wine bar with the right changes. Side note: service was good, the server was very attentive.

The patio area is much bigger than I anticipated and even has some larger tables for any larger parties. We started off with an appetizer of the peach burrata, which was tasty! I would give it 4/5. We then got wine flights which I thought were such a great value for the price. You get 3 small sized wine glasses for $15 and get to sample three wines! Definitely recommend this 5/5. As entrees, we shared two entrees - the pesto pasta and the gnocchi which at the time was made with a pork type of sauce. Both were very delicious and we really enjoyed the flavors of both. The consistency of the gnocchi's sauce was a bit interesting, as it was all sort of blended together, but the flavor was very good! Would give them each 4/5. We ended the night with tiramisu - delicious and the presentation was very cute. I haven't had very much tiramisu to compare against, but I'll give it 5/5 as I really enjoyed it! As for service, our waitress was very attentive and nice but note that they can get busy on weekend evenings, so expect a little bit of a wait. Overall, I had a great time and enjoyed the food. Not fall apart like they should be. Tasted almost like when you microwave meat too long. The chicken Milanese was soggy, not crispy like a breaded pan cooked chicken should be and also tasted tough and a bit overcooked. I was surprised that zero sauce, or a side of pasta was not served along with it either. Very dry and bland. It appeared to be almost 2-3 very large chicken cutlets that are served on a cutting board. The vodka sauce pasta was also a bit bland and unflavorful. Very sad as this has always been a favorite spot of mine but tonight was very disappointing. I will say, wait service and all staff were absolutely amazing. Very attentive and kind.
