Mixed feelings on our recent visit. I had biscuit and gravy that was very good. It came with 2 eggs and hash browns all cooked perfectly. The biscuit was exceptional. My partner had fish and chips but fish was overcooked and not very good. Took home a cinnamon roll and double chocolate chip cookie and they were both very good. My sister and I eat lunch there yesterday. We both had Ruben's and Onion Rings. The ruben's were just okay, the meat was tender but did not really have any flavor other than the thousand island dressing on them, which my sister liked but I though was too zesty. The onion rings were on the greasy side and had no flavor, no seasoning on the breading and even the onions did have any flavor. We went to have brunch before Christmas. The place was decorated so nicely and place looked clean. We were 2 adults and 3 kids-- everyone enjoyed their meals and requested to go back. The server Ashley was at my table immediately, she was friendly and attentive checking back just enough to make sure my coffee was full and answer any questions. I went to lunch with a friend for the first time and the staff was friendly and very helpful. The prices are slightly higher than other diners but the quality and taste of their food is really great. I enjoyed my meal so much that I met with my lunch group friends for lunch there. We were a party of 7 and the food came out quickly and everyone enjoyed their food except for one friend. She had the chicken sandwich and it was dry and overcooked...she actually left half of it on her plate. Server offered her something else but she didn't want to keep the rest of us waiting. I ordered the fish and chips and it was one of the BEST fried fish I've had in a long time. The outside was crisp and not oily and the inside was tender and flaky. My other friends all liked their meal. Several of said that we would be back again. They are also pet friendly with an outdoor seating but also when I went the first time I had my Bichon Frise with me and it was one of the cold days and didn't look forward to sitting outside but the staff was more then happy to allow my dog inside and Scooter is the perfect gentleman, he always stay under the table and people around us couldn't believe I had a dog with me! Very nice portion, unfortunately the cole slaw was not good, not much flavor so the small portion didn't matter. Wow!!! I just ate breakfast and it was amazing!!! The grits are extra and they are worth it!!! The cacophony of flavors is amazing!! They rank right up there with grits in Charleston, SC!! If you have time to sit and wait, this is the place!!! We waited an hour. The server Anthony, was good though. The food was cold when it got here and they even screwed up the order!!! The eggs tasted funny and the water had an aftertaste. I was so disgusted I did t even want to eat. We were only offered to reheat the food AFTER we've waited over a hour already. I didn't finish my food because it was awful. would not recommend this place at all. The only thing that was decent was the atmosphere. If I could give a NO STAR rating, I would!! I was part of a party of 8. Everyone in the group enjoyed their meals and the service was above expectations. We were seated in an area that was cooler than tolerable and the owner immediately listened to the complaint and adjusted the temperature to insure we dined in comfort. The venue is extremely clean and inviting and the food - although a little expensive -- was worth every bite. Nothing was bland about the preparation or the presentation of the food. I enjoyed my fish and coleslaw (which was extremely tasty) and my husband had a Reuben sandwich that was heaped with meat and he kept raving about how enjoyable it tasted. Other members of the group selected items from the breakfast menu and the presentation was awesome. Chris the owner visited the table to also reinforce his policy of dining while happy and to accept any complaints or suggested improvements. Since this was my first , but not last time, I would give this restaurant a two thumbs up. Quality and quantity both were enjoyed and several of the group had to do take home because of the portions.
