The ceviche was probably the best ceviche I've ever had in my life. It was blood orange based, but the citrus was really well balanced. The king oyster mushroom dish was soo delicious. The sauce and the texture of the mushrooms were to die for. I've salivating thinking about them right now! The fish was also so amazing. The bottoms were so crispy, it was almost like it was a layer of potato chip! Really great texture, and the fish meat was cooked to perfection. Really sad that they're closing, but looking forward to whatever the chef/restaurant team does next!

It's a beautifully designed space, and we went in the evening so it was dimly lit and had good tunes, contributing to an intimate and cool vibe. The service throughout was good both by our primary server and the rest of the team that was bringing out dishes. For the food, we did not feel that it was a strong start, but the ending was great! The first dish to come out was their cornbread, which we agreed was very light and had a super tender texture, but there was just nothing special about the taste profile to us. The second dish were their prawns. We couldn't put our finger on the off-putting flavor in there, but we agreed that something just wasn't right and almost tasted spoiled. You also had to work a bit to dissect the prawns and remove the heads and skin. To work for it and then not enjoy the taste wasn't a great combo for us, unfortunately. It started turning around with their sweet potatoes, a type I'd never had before that were "baby" and purple on the outside while white inside. They served the potatoes with a gorgeously whipped Greek yogurt that added the exact right amount of tang to balance the sweet potato and the herby topping. The stars of the night were the coconut basmati rice and the lamb shank. My goodness! The rice dish was so complex from a flavor and texture profile and just hit all the right notes for us, and that lamb! Definitely one of the best lamb dishes I've had - Impossibly tender and seasoned to perfection. One other note I'll make regarding drinks is that they did not have a strong wine list. I ended up ordering a red, but later heard our waiter recommend against getting their wine to another table and suggesting their cocktails and mocktails instead. Just something to keep in mind if you're a wine lover!

We were here for Restaurant Week, so it was $45 for three courses. We ordered: - the heirloom tomatoes - the Caesar salad - the chicken - the pasta dish - lemon tart - the chocolate cake Honestly, all these were incredible! The chicken was so crispy but also juicy. My partner and I joked about coming back to the restaurant a day later so we could enjoy it agajn during Restaurant Week. The lemon tart was fantastic. It was also really easy to make a reservation on the day of.

They spill all over the place every time and because of that, I always burn my hand. They don't have sleeves either because I think the cups are too small. The customer service could be better as it always seems like to-go orders are an inconvenience over dining in customers. Either way, the location is convenient if you need a coffee shop in Greenpoint if the neighboring shops are full. They do have a full menu for brunch, lunch, and dinner service. The prices match the location and the food looks good as there are always locals dining outside with their families and dogs. The space is spacious as well. I cannot comment on the food, only my takeout order experience. Accepts cash, card and Applepay. Indoor, outdoor and takeout available. Bathroom available.

The mix of a thousand island type sauce with ketchup made this burger a 10/10. The sesame bun gives the burger a great softness with all the other textures. + the fries gave me the feeling of an elevated mcdonald's fry! caesar salad was perfect. Lots of lettuce, not overly anchovy and just the croutons were soft and crisp at the same time? very much enjoyed how big of a portions all of these items were. chicken parm sauce was tangy and had good flavoring with the perfect melted cheese on top of the soft but crisp edges of the chicken. i'd highly recc all three items we got! service was quick once we got seated and was nice to be outside in the warm weather.

The staff are all high class. All the seats feel like they're made just for you, there's a real feel of nostalgia like going to an old diner with your family in this place. The burger is a must try. Probably up there with some of the best slept on burgers in the city. Personally for me the highlight was the vinegar chicken with the vinegar sweet pepper shallots. These peppers have been so good that we've been trying to find them all over the city going into every little local market that we could find in hopes of coming across them again. Not sure how they make them or what they do, but it's an insanely unique experience that I've only had a dish like this at Bernie's.

I got a Brazhoot of Happiness panini (the smaller option), and it was amazing. So much mozzarella, so much prosciutto, and the vinegar peppers balanced the taste so nicely. A little crunch, a little chewiness, some sour from the vinegar, and a lot of salt...what a combo. I also got an iced coffee drink, it was espresso poured over a coffee slush. Different phases of coffee and all of them were delicious. They make a mean espresso here, for real. Fantastic spot for great Italian deli food, definitely worth a visit!

Sabino was working the register and was incredibly friendly. Although I wanted to eat my sfogliatella later, he gave it to me first. It my first time ever having one and it was freaking delicious. It was warm and flaky with the perfect amount of pistachio filling. I def savored each bite and contemplated getting another one but ultimately decided not to. My salad came out shortly after and was better than I expected. The croutons were ginormous but also seasoned and worth each bite. The salad was tangy and had plenty of shredded Parmesan, which I loved! I got a chance to talk with Sabino a bit before he left. Because he had difficulty on the register, he gave me some later cookies which I thought was an incredibly nice gesture. I more than enjoyed my visit and already can't wait to come back! Things to note: it's pretty small inside so plan on either standing or getting it to go as there's only 3-4 stools to sit on.

Between the three of us, we ordered the borscht soup, Polish appetizer sampler, pork schnitzel, duck pierogies, and lastly a cheesecake to finish the night. I was stuffed mid-dinner but somehow the roasted potatoes kept luring me back in. Borscht soup (with mushroom dumplings) was nice and hot, great to settle my stomach that was feeling a bit off earlier in the day. Polish appetizer sampler is lovely to try a bit of everything. I really enjoyed the cabbage wrap. Duck pierogies was a first for me. Good portion sized, savory and not light on the meat. Pork schnitzel was nicely breaded, crispy and thin. The roasted potatoes on the side was so well-seasoned, no additional add-ons necessary. Cheesecake was decent, and the server delighted us with three little candles on top to celebrate. Unbeknownst to us, there's music on Friday evenings! Great mood uplifter. It was pleasant to have a guitarist playing live music, while we munch away.

The cabbage was stuffed with kasha and veggies and smothered in mushroom sauce. Two cabbage rolls served with a small side salad and my choice of side (cucumber salad). Bonus points for the retro poster in the bathroom.

Yet, the smaller than expected plate of mussels was piled high with more cilantro than I have ever seen outside of a food prep station at a Mexican restaurant. This is during the lettuce Cyclospora outbreak, which cilantro was an item that was recommended to avoid, and so I was trying to avoid cilantro too. Once I removed the piled high cilantro into a separate dish, I got into the mussels. And I have to say that there were so many empty shells, I was wondering where all those mussels went because they certainly were not hiding in the broth or in the monstrous amount of cilantro I had removed from the top of the dish. I honestly don't think I have ever had a more disappointing dish of mussels. Probably in total there were 10 mussels I consumed. And for $28! Here is the menu description: Steamed in a saffron-coconut sauce with chilies and scallions. Accompaniment: Served with grilled sourdough bread for dipping into the broth I will NEVER return to this restaurant and honestly want to call my credit card and report fraud to get a refund. Because this meal was not right!.
