Terry was not at all what I had imagined when I thought of someone in this profession, and that was surprisingly refreshing. She has a great sense of humor, she's originally from the East Coast, and I absolutely loved her sassy, down-to-earth, real vibe. It felt authentic. No fluff. No pretense.....Just genuine energy and insight. I've been on a spiritual awakening journey for about nine months now. I've done "past" life regression sessions and have received messages from my higher self, spirit team, and angel guides. ALSO--If you had told me a year ago that this is where I'd be, I would have laughed in your face and walked away. And yet, here I am. The one thing I was really hoping for in this session was to connect my earthbound body to my spiritual self. This was my first time trying Reiki for that purpose, and again--it exceeded my expectations. I know everyone's experiences are different, but the feedback Terry gave me afterward was extremely on point. The insights were deep, accurate, and validating in ways I didn't expect. Thank you, Terry, for reminding me to get out into nature more and for all the other advice and reflections you shared. It felt aligned and timely. I can't wait to book our next session.

Terry explained the whole process really well before the session started so I knew what to expect. She puts a lot of thought into making the experience the best it can be and it shows. The sound bath, massage, and reiki were amazing in combination. After the session was over she took the time to explain what was going on with my chakras. That night after the session I felt some anger come up and I felt lighter the next day. I feel like I met Terry at the perfect time! She gave me great feedback and made me feel seen. Overall, it was a wonderful experience!

But its no problem crushing you over not returning a few emails, or saying you will return a call and spacing it in 2021!!! Hilarious they took the time to write that bad review then, well working from home and frustrated with no dog to kick I suppose yelp makes sense.. But following a prolonged forced lockdown, a deadly pandemic, at height of vaccine tensions, and a nation adjusting to a new dystopian reality trying not to strangle each other in lines. Yea I think I stopped reading emails more than once a month a year before that. lol. All reasons I highly recommend therapy to people because having an objective third person in the room listening to your narratives and observing your affect can be tremendously helpful to everyone. An experienced therapist can help you navigate through your blind spots, misperception, bad habits, and help you edit a poorly chosen personal narrative or even a nasty internal dialogue. So I would highly recommend making an appointment. My only suggestion would be to simplify what you do for marketing a bit. Not sure what these all mean and clearly a lot of overlaps. And Master NLP Practitioner? That could mean a lot of things and some problematic. Also you need to add more of you with some photos, pet pics, and personal choices. Never got better advice than be yourself, it has a power to resonate that is magic and authentic. Of course nobody tells you that later your eventual goal is to have a disastrous website that nobody reads and barely works because your practice is way past full. Cheers

I enthusiastically recommend that if you need a highly skilled, compassionate, and PATIENT professional to help you navigate whatever life challenges you are facing. you will find all that and much more in John Boesky. He is truly a gift!

Her approach is new to me having only experienced traditional talk therapy in the past, but after only a few sessions the effectiveness of her holistic approach became very apparent. I find myself looking forward to each session as she helps me work through and grow any area of my life I want to improve, as well as take on new endeavors. In a nutshell, Dr. Kim Ward helps me to: 1. Share in a supportive and safe environment 2. Create new healthy habits and put them into daily practice 3. Focus my energy and resources on the people and things that matter most 4. Realize limitations I wasn't aware I had, and old stories I was living by 5. Discover what truly makes me happy and fulfilled 6. Improve my understanding of myself and others through the use and study of the Enneagram, a powerful tool that describes how different personality types interpret and interface with the world 7. Incorporate exercise and a healthy diet into my daily life 8. Recognize physical signs that impact the quality of life and my mental and emotional states 9. Be mindful of stress and irritation and use meditation and other various techniques to manage it 10. Stay on path when outside influences start to steer me astray She is compassionate and supportive, has a great sense of humor, and has years of knowledge and experience. I had just gotten out of a treatment facility for PTSD & suicidality, though I still battled the suicidal thoughts and had a cutting addiction. Little did I know how skilled Dr. Stokes is in treating trauma. She exhibited a great amount of patience and true dedication to my healing process. As a result, I have not been suicidal or participated in bodily injury in several years! In addition to being highly-skilled, I have found her to be very warm, compassionate, gentle, open and relatable. She is willing to share a bit about herself if I ask, which for me is important in fostering trust and connection. She is always sensitive to my needs and is empathic... I feel like she is really listening and hearing me. I have come to trust her immensely. She also offers many alternative techniques in addition to the traditional talking model, which is a unique bonus. I have grown so much and am doing/feeling so much better now than I ever have in my life. I owe a huge chunk of that to Dr. Stokes. Thank you!

Each program is custom-designed to allow for my personal goals, the time I have, the equipment I have, and my health. The one-to-one sessions are really helpful, too. I get every question answered, my trainer listens carefully to what I have to say and respects my input. I get lots of encouragement and support, and I get very good suggestions, too. Best of all, Complex Athletics is focused on progress, not some imaginary standard. So each step, no matter how small, is important. There's no judgement, only support. There are no 'stupid' questions, and there's no comparing my progress to someone else's. Each client is treated as a unique person with unique needs. And each client is treated holistically (mind and body). Sessions are geared towards the client's needs, too. My own program is online, but I've done onground, too, and both are fantastic. But does the training pay off? Oh, absolutely!! I'm stronger now than I was twenty years ago. My weight is healthy, my stamina is solid, and I have some good lifetime habits that I know will help me as I move into old age. I have resilience, too, and that's helped me a lot. I highly recommend Complex Athletics!

Now I'm not a religious person; but I am college educated, healthily skeptical, and was previously employed as a digital liar. So I would if I could have poked holes in Kelly's opening salvo as she described, in impressive detail, the twin reasons that inspired me to make an appointment. But, dear Yelpers, I could not. Because she was able to layer them with such nuance and specificity that it seems unlikely she could have done it with any but natural ability. An example: When we had gotten far enough that I felt comfortable divulging some basic facts (that I was a graduate-level design student), she correctly identified the topic of my thesis. For you inquiring minds, here's how that worked: When I told her that my area of study was design, she immediately began contextualizing the nature of my work, describing my thought process, which was accurate. She then used a very specific metaphor (i.e. "it's almost like..."). Except that it was not "almost like"; it was, indeed, the exact topical framework I had chosen for my thesis the week before. Until Kelly, only my professor and my mentor had been aware of it. Fairly, I cannot guarantee that anyone else will have this experience. I chose Kelly very deliberately based on the feeling that I would know immediately what was up and went in with specific intentions to check against. Kelly very quickly passed my test (in my defense, aren't we all being tested?) and we wound up having an excellent and encouraging session, for which I am now grateful. I would not mind if this world had more Kellys in it. From one [ ] to a [ ]. (Edit: Those [ ] were supposed to be cute emojis, but I'll just let y'all guess which ones.)

During our sessions, she works hard on my tight knots and knows exactly my problem areas to focus on. Being a person who had pretty severe lower back pain from school/work, she nursed me back to health and gave me tips on how to stretch and work on my back at home. I ended up getting a foam roller too, and she gave me great tips to stretch on it. Making appointments: Just go online and check her calendar to find a time that works best with your schedule. You enter your email address and your number, and her system will automatically send you email reminders. Facilities: 3rd floor of an office building - there's a little water river/stream in the middle of the building, behind it there's an elevator. Take the elevator to the 3rd floor and make a right. Her room (suite 321) is right next to a CPA office. During your massage, she'll play soothing music and recommend various lotions for aromatherapy. I particularly like chamomile and mint scented ones, it makes it particularly relaxing. Massage: THE BEST, EVER. Period. I've seen a great deal of masseuses in my lifetime. I used to be part of Massage Envy and I would cycle between different people each time I went to the point where I had a track record for never having a set person. That all changed when I met Joy, she's the only person I trust for a massage. I deeply miss her now that I'm in Seattle, I don't know where I can find as good as a massage ever again. I do frequently come back to San Diego to visit, and whenever I do, I always book an appointment with her again! Overall: LOVE HER, she's the best, hands down.
