Hi Meijer, Please improve your pick-up location signage/communication. Right now it is at best incomplete, and more accurately confusing and misleading. When I called the store for guidance, I was relayed to an even further wrong area. This was a long, unpleasant first experience and I'm unlikely to engage with this business again in any form. I never give such harsh reviews, but I know that management has been made aware of the issue and I am hoping to incentivize action for the benefit of both customers and employees, whom you espouse to value in your PR. Was running errands in Hamilton & decided to pick up some groceries in this store. It was very clean & organized. Love that the carts have a drink holder. I liked the music played over the intercom. I got most of the sales items I wanted but a few were sold out. The self-checkout went smoothly except it flags your purse as an unpaid item. I guess AI is dumber than I thought. Overall, it was a pleasant experience & I would shop here again when in the area. read more

If you're on a controlled substance I would avoid this pharmacy like the plague! The pharmacist that leads the pharmacy AMY will treat you like a drug seeking addict for wanting your medication on time and then she'll say you're aggressive about it and refuse to sell it to you at all. Also she lied to me and tried to gaslight me saying I picked up my prescription on a different day than I did when I had my bottle in my hand and could clearly see on the label what day I picked it up. It's not a bad store and maybe, it's a sign of the area but I noticed that the Blu-Ray discs were locked away while WalMart does no such thing. The store seemed very clean and unlike other Meijer stores, no one greeted me. In fact, all the time I was there, no one said anything to me. The men's restroom stall door did not latch at all, which was a problem, but not unlike Meijer. read more

My two hour visit today really inflamed my plantar fasciitis. I shop here from time to time for groceries. And it's pretty good for vegans or people who have food allergies. So, big bonus there! Just know what you're looking for and have a lot of time to look. The chocolate Silk Yogurt is fantastic and this is the only place I know that sells it. On the other hand, not knowing where the item you want is a real hindrance. I decided to do some crafting, pick up my supplies AND chocolate yogurt. I tried to find fabric ink for stamps. No but lots of fabric markers. And no glitter? Rows of scissors, Washi tape, kid crafts, but no glitter? I couldn't find wet erase markers in the craft section so I went to school supplies. Looked around. I hate asking people for help. I have been known to leave a store if I have to ask. But today I wanted things done. So I set about wandering around to find someone. It took awhile but a guy in electronics appeared. He was on a customer call and helping a customer. When he got to me, he was nice but had nothing to offer. The markers didn't exist. I headed over to pick up the yogurt and checked out the vegan premade baked mixes while looking for glycerin. Which wasn't in the baking aisle. So I headed back across the store, in hopes that it was in the pharmacy/beauty section because there was no one in grocery to ask. Back across the store again, I decided to look for glitter once more because it doesn't make sense to not have glitter. I couldn't find it but ran into an employee! I think her name was Pamela. We discussed the lack of glitter and she wandered the aisles with me, equally baffled at the situation. I went on my way then the nice lady chased me down! She had located the glitter! It looks like Meijer has decided to clearance out glitter and just a few multi packs remained. While it wasn't ideal, I was really grateful. She was a big help. I found glycerin in the pharmacy section. And headed to the checkout. There were a ton of people waiting to help me there. Just not in the store. My cashier was really nice. She agreed getting rid of glitter was unwise. So, Meijer is huge and understaffed, making it hard to get assistance. But the help you CAN find is really nice. It just takes a long time and a lot of walking to find them. I admit, I was clenching my teeth by the time I was getting in my car. Next time crafts and food will be separate trips. read more

I typically like shopping at Meijer primarily because they have a good selection in produce. I will never shop at Meijer again, however. I tripped and fell over a small case of drinks that were in the aisle and beside the shelves. I didn't see the drinks because I was looking up at the products, which is where you look when you are shopping. I was also pushing a cart and simply did not see the drinks. I tripped on them, tried to keep from falling by running forward and then fell hard. I wasn't able to get up and a customer who said she was a nurse helped me up. Of course I was embarrassed and when she asked if I was ok or needed help, I declined and said I thought I could just walk it off. Holding onto my cart for support, I completed my shopping, but was in quite a bit of pain. At the checkout, the cashier told me I needed to speak with the manager about falling so I waited on the bench. She came over and took down some notes about what occurred and asked if I would like to go to the ER. Well, I had shopped and purchased the groceries, and my time is limited so I told her I would just put ice on it at home. I was not able to get my groceries in the house when I arrived home and had to call a relative for help. My foot swelled to twice its normal size and was severely bruised along the left side and up over my ankle. I put ice on my foot and took ibuprofen, but it did not help. I have been a claims adjuster for 35 years and know that companies generally carry medical insurance for anyone injured on their premises regardless of fault. They also carry liability insurance if an accident is deemed to be their fault, but I was not concerned about this. I spoke with someone at the Meijer HQ that week and asked if they would take care of the medical bills for me to have it x-rayed and seen by a doctor. I was told that they do not have the insurance and they are self-pay. She said I could get checked out, pay for the bills, and submit them for consideration. I explained that I did not have insurance and would not be able to afford an ER bill or even a bill to Urgent care. I was told that was all she could do and that was the end of the conversation. I certainly understand the skepticism of a business when someone claims to have fallen, but I also believe that they were able to tell that I was injured in the store. They should have cameras and the fall should have been on camera. I had also asked the person from HQ if I could have a copy of the video and she indicated I could not. I was simply looking for assistance with my medical expense and it is unfathomable to me that they would not want to take care of their customer. Under the law I would be considered a "business invitee" and they owe me a greater degree of protection since they benefit from my presence in the store. I'm not actually sure if what they are doing is legal, but I know I will never step foot in Meijer again. It's just too dangerous. They should have made sure the aisle was clear. It is incumbent upon them to do so even if something is left in the aisle by a customer. I cannot believe they have so little concern for any of their patrons. read more

This Meijer has a good selection compared to other local stores and other local Meijer stores. The prices work out to be a bit ahead if you were shopping solely at another store, but some items can be cheaper elsewhere. However, if you work the ads, and sign up for their email promotions, you can often get a coupon that will lower the cost of your bill. The staff at this store do a good job of keeping it clean and stocked, and I usually don't wait long in line. I can't say the same of their competitor across the street (usually more than 15-20 minutes in line). read more

Good luck getting anything on sale. First you have spend a ton of time signing into their website to pick your sale items and then you have to sign in again at the register. No easy card to swipe...that's if they are not out of the sale items. Total joke. Basically they want to make it so difficult for you to get your sale items that you give up and pay full price. I DoorDashed my order and then they sent me an email saying that they couldn't fill all of my order. If I order all the things for a meal and you don't fill the meat portion, it's useless to get the rest. At the very least they could have contacted me to see if I wanted to change my order. I liked that I could DoorDash a grocery store, but I can't trust what they have listed, what's the use. I won't use Meijers again and after my knees heal up, I won't be going in store shopping again. read more

Taking forever just trying to purchase a carton of cigarettes. First I did not immediately see where the cigarettes were. But then I found out I had to get and one of the regular lines and someone would help me. I ask for a carton they bring me a pack. They go back for a carton and tell me they're all out. I asked if they have enough tax to make the cartons worth they ask how many are in a carton. they go back and check to find that they do have enough and I ask him if I'd get the carton price. I'm asked what is the carton price and I respond I don't know. They leave to go check and then return with a slip asking for my birthday to make sure I'm old enough to purchase it. I provide that info and then they ring it up. After all is said and done it's more expensive than any place I've ever seen in six years!!!! read more

This Meijer location is my go-to grocery and GM shop. They have a nice selection of food and I even rather like their kitchen supplies and arts and crafts section, as well as their seasonal. I cook a great deal and my boyfriend and I have somewhat refined tastes, and I seldom have a problem with finding what food items I need for a recipe, or with finding the type of snacks that my boyfriend and I enjoy that you just flat out cannot find at your local Walmart. They have a great produce department...it's no Jungle Jim's, but it's still above par. It's always clean and tidy here, I've never had any cleanliness issue with this location, and the isles and shelves always look organized. The only gripe I have is that not all of the cashiers are up to speed, so to speak. My boyfriend and I always split our total between two cards, and while there are a few good cashiers who have no problem with this simple request, we often get someone who has no idea how to do it and either has to call for help, or teach themselves on the spot, sometimes yielding unsatisfactory results (one of our cards charged the entire total, and a half-baked apology from the clueless employee). Also, most of the cashiers seem to be totally bewildered by the produce that their store offers. I'm always explaining what some simple vegetable or fruit is that they should already be familiar with in their store. Tonight it was "what is this?" When it was a poblano pepper, and then searching for 5 minutes and a "how do you spell that?" In the past, it was a serrano pepper, explained to the cashier about three times when she kept looking at me slack-jawed and going "a whuuuuu?" Only for her to charge me for two bunches of cilantro, which are way more expensive. So, overall, great store, and it will probably always be my go to store, but the help is a bit incompetent. read more

I would have given them a 4 but over the last 12 years they are slowly going downhill. I started shopping here when they first opened because growing up in Michigan that's where my family shopped. It was always fun. Here at this location over the last few years things in produce aren't very fresh. My kids use to love browsing the toy section but even that has started to become bare. Its a shame that things like this happen but they do happen and hopefully they get better. I am really not a fan of Kroger and would rather not have to change to them. Guess I could 30 minutes to Jungle Jim's. I'll keep my fingers crossed the Meijer gets their stuff together. read more

There is a lot I like about this store but recently their service has suffered. Twice this month I have gotten home and realized a bag was missing from my order. This is a giant pain because now I have to go to the service desk- where the line is always long and wait while they check something- I guess a list of stuff left behind. Then they tell me to go get the exact same things and come back to the desk and stand in line again. Omg! I'm old, people! It was enough just getting it all in the first place! Maybe a bagger could run back for me. No! Because they don't have baggers! Ugh! The last time I was behind some idiot who couldn't make up his mind what lottery tickets to buy. Why is there only one clerk there? Well, the main thing I like about Meijer is the store has wider aisles. Their prices are usually a little lower, but I am finished with them. While I've used this store for most of the groceries for my family of four, the blatant disregard I've experienced by the pharmacy is at the breaking point. It also is aggravating because it seems inconsistent and depends on who is on staff. The older female pharmacist angered my doctor so much by phone that I switched to Kroger for all but one medication. This place fills my canine rx way early even when we do not request it. On more than one occasion a female employee decides that she's going to tell me I'm a day early on a 30 day rx. Today, on Oct 15th I took my written rx which was last filled on Sept 16th. The witch tells me I can't have it till tomorrow. This is simply abuse of power. I can see if I was even two days early but holy crap! Take a calendar and write day 1 on the Sept 16th date and then 2,3....and you'll see the 30th date you'd insert is in the square of Oct 15th. What if I went on vacation on the 13th? Would I have to do w/o? Why should I have to wait till any given pill bottle is absolutely empty to get in my car and drive to this Meijer? I complained to the store manager as this treatment sure doesn't make me want to give them my business in groceries, pet food for eight animals we care for, housewares, electronics, gas...etc. Bottom line is, I will switch to home delivery on my daughters, husbands and my one little rx that I get there and I'll have no need to step foot in their store. I've found that CVS is $16.39 vs $31 on 16.2 phenobarbital which is my nearly 17 year old dog's anti-seizure med that I fill there. Not that it's anyone's business but my other dog is on Prozac to make her less fear aggressive. That is the one they continue to fill early for no clear reason. Many and in fact most of the pharmacy employees I've encountered were pleasant and normal but incidents like this today are just plain wrong and this rx queen employee knows she/they have the control because my one rx here is Norco(Vicodin) and it requires a written rx and the pharmacy name is designated on the script. I follow all the rules and get crapped on by surly employees. Tired of the bullshit and not going to stand for it anymore! read more

What can I say...I love this store. Way ahead of the competiton in nearly every category except the deli can sometimes be a little slow. The people in the meat department are super helpful and accomodating. The store and parking lot is clean and spacious. Its one-stop shopping since it has so many items, and the garden center is comparable to a specialty garden store. Employees are neat in appearance, friendly and helpful. read more
