Her friend called & emailed with the design ideas and I took care of payment and then pickup on the day of the party. Definitely would recommend them if you want a cake for a special occasion.

The cake was light and the frosting was a nice light whipped cream that wasn't too sweet. You got to pick the fruits that go inside - I got mango and peach. The cake comes nicely boxed with a cute bow too! It's a little pricey at $40-60 a cake but for a special occasion, it's definitely worth it.

I got a cotton candy cupcake, a frosted cookie and a cinnamon powdered donut twist. My total was 7 bucks which isn't terrible for the number of items I got. The cookie was the star of the show for me - it was delicious and I would go back for a dozen. The cupcake was moist but was just a basic vanilla cupcake with specialty icing which is probably why it was decently priced compared to other shops with stuffed and fluffed cupcakes. The donut had a good consistency and was still warm. The staff was nice enough but did take some time to come out from the back even though there was about 6 people waiting up front. The coffee must be good because while I was there 4 locals stopped in just for that.

My aunt had ordered me a cake from A Spoon Fulla Sugar for my wedding reception. We were very…read moreexcited for this cake, it was 3 tiers. The cake was delivered at 1:30 pm the day of. We were beginning to cut the cake at 7 pm ( plenty of time to thaw we thought). As we cut it, the icing was very thick. The icing was like a brick and was just falling off the cake. As we cut the actual cake itself, it began to crumble. Every single piece of our cake fell apart while cutting. We used 3 different knives to cut it and had 2 different people attempting to cut it. We tried bigger and thin slices. Each piece just crumbled. The actual cake itself did taste good, but the icing was so thick. It was more icing than actual cake. We were very disappointed. My aunt went back to the store to get the issue resolved. It was her wedding gift to us and she wanted us to have a very good cake. She talked to the owner of the store and presented him with a video of the cake cutting. His immediate response was to blame the knife we used. He then asked if a caterer cut it. We did use 3 different knives ( two of which were designed to cut and serve cakes ). For cakes at this price point, if it needed such specific instructions for cutting, it should be known to the customer beforehand ! He did offer a refund but my aunt preferred the cake remade as this was a present and she wanted it done well for us. When we got the cake remade, it was beautiful. They made it better the second time than the first. They also included specific cutting instructions with the remade cake. This would have been useful to have the first time. When they dropped it off the first time no instructions were included and the people who dropped it off said nothing. They said multiple times they assumed we would be having a caterer which is why they didn't bother to say anything and then proceed to blame us later when the whole cake fell apart. Every single person at this cake shop had an attitude about the situation and could not be bothered to apologize or seem remorseful for the situation. This was my wedding cake, my guest and I were all extremely disappointed. I would not return again or ever recommend this shop to anyone else.

Luckily, we were both completely on the same page. We even decided to have a dessert table for our wedding favors, and they were a huge hit. They provided a lot of guidance for numbers, what guests generally like, did setup and the cost was affordable. We had (deep breath) cake balls, buckeye balls, ginger molasses cookies, sugar cookies, cake balls of a number of flavors, cupcakes (instead of wedding cake) of whatever flavors we asked for (chocolate peanut butter, lemon, chocolate raspberry, white, etc), some pumpkin flavors.... these delicious mint things... I'm probably missing some stuff, but the desserts were a highlight of our reception for us (we both love our sweets) and for our guests. We're also fans of the black raspberry chip Graeters flavor, and they did a wonderful version of that for our own cake for the cake cutting. I believe everything is made in-house (including their own fruit/other flavorings) and you can tell in the vibrant flavors. As is always important for a business that interacts with stressed wedding couples, they responded quickly to emails, were to the point, friendly and were adaptable while adding their expertise to the evenings plans. Can't recommend them enough, and my husband is already bemoaning that we live out of town and can't have their creations on a regular basis.

I couldn't taste much lavender flavor and the honey settled at the bottom of the cup, but the matcha itself was strong! My friend ordered the Corn Cheese Donuts (came with 3) and an iced Tiramisu Latte. She thought the latte was good but a bit too milky for her taste. The corn donuts were fantastic! The outside/shell is a chewy texture and rolled in sugar, and the inside is hollow and filled with a corn cheese mixture--would definitely order again. The workers were nice and our drinks came out quickly. The interior of this location is nice and bright with many tables to hang out and chat, and some have outlets if you're looking for a place to work. Most of the bakery items (not the cakes though) are in self-serve pastry cases so you take a tray, wax paper, and tongs to grab whatever pastries you want before checking out at the counter, where you can order drinks as well. This is a great place to meet up with friends to catch up, or to grab a pastry and drink to go. I'm excited to try more of their selection!
