This is a super cool hidden gem in Isleton. It proudly advertised itself as a former Chinese opium den and brothel, and they kept the theming so quite a unique spot. There's Chinese decor inside and even a seating area designed as the opium den! When we came here on a Sunday afternoon there was a live band playing. What a cool hang out spot in Isleton! The walls are covered with little windows into local history, intricate carvings and screens evoke the wild roots of the building and area. They offer many exotic brews in tap including non-alcoholic options. Bartender was very knowledgeable and was patient with our many questions and helped us hone in on our selections. read more

I've been here 3 times now. My bride and I are borderline beer snobs, only I love IPA, she hates them, but loves sours and I hate them. This is without question the best tap room in the Bay Area. Without a doubt. No TVs, no WiFi, no BS, just cold taps and the company you keep. Shared 4 flights with my bride, sandwiches from the McBoodery, and lost at cribbage. A hidden gem in the Delta! I'm so glad we were directed here by the owner of an antique store in Locke. It did not disappoint! Since it was formerly a gambling/opium den and brothel, the decor fits the theme. Really hip and nicely decorated with a lot of reds and blacks (sort of reminded me of Yelp's website). The bar is from the movie Basic Instinct and the owner turned an altar table into a working tap tower. Really nice touches everywhere! The beer selection is on point - everything from IPA milkshakes to dank brews to smooth porters. I also like that they offer Nitro coffee and kombucha, which I bookended my beers with. Best of all, Iva, the owner/bartender/purchaser is knowledgeable and friendly, instantly making you feel at home. There's free popcorn and a refrigerator in the back stocked with interesting canned brews you can take on your trip down the Delta. Definitely a place to check out when you're in the area!!! read more

Great place!!!! We were staying in town and had planned on visiting this beer room. So glad we did! Iva is wonderful and welcoming and very personable! Nick was as well. Iva is very knowledgeable with the products she offers( and she offers quite a few!) and myself not being much of a beer connoisseur she offered samplings of a few things to try. I loved the elderberry kombucha and raspberry kombucha mixed with Nitro Cali cream. Imagine a 50/50 bar/ creamsicle......Yum!!!! This place is a great stop in the area. It really impressive, with 24 taps! They range from mostly California brewed beers, with a few from Colorado. There's a good mix of darker beers to lighter items. They also serve brewed nitro coffee and kombucha. I chatted with Iva a bit about the history of the building and why she named the place she did - It's quite interesting! I love that she kept with a lot of the Chinese touches. The drive to Isleton is scenic and relaxing. We stopped at the Mei Wah beer room to buy a particular beer we had at the AAPI festival event in Sacramento. We had a couple of tasty beers while chatting with the owner. The owner is super nice, kind, friendly and engaged with all the customers. The selection of beers on tap is big and diverse. The ambiance is chill/relaxed, great seating inside and outside. 10/10, would highly suggest folks to check out the beer room and explore the historic town and learn its history. We chatted with the awesome owner who was super friendly and welcoming. Great beer selection. Cute beer glasses for sale too! They sell some beef jerky here but you are encouraged to order food from a BBQ joint down the street.
