I try not to give out too many 5-stars but this place is a personal favorite! I'll swing by after work and unwind with a delicious beer in hand along with some friends, or just have a night out on the town with the buddies. The menu changes often, but the selection is always tasty. I'm a sour beer enthusiast (I loathe IPAs) and they have a damn good variety of yummy sours. The fruited sours are the first thing I gravitate towards right when I walk in. The bartenders are always so friendly with the people, (I'm too shy to include myself but I'm sure they recognize me) the inside is cozy on a cold day, and the outside patio is a breath of fresh air on a beautiful sunny day. They also have novelty arcade games, though I've never seen anyone play them (it might just be for deco?) Came here on a friday night with a friend for the first time and it was a vibe to be honest! They have indoor and outdoor seating. We sat outside since it was a nice night. They have a bunch of selections from tap and cans. I didn't try the food because we ate beforehand and they closed the kitchen at an earlier time. To order, you go up to the bartender and they will hand you what you ordered up front and then you can take it to your table! Staff were very friendly and they can give you some help if you are unsure on what to get. My favorite was there pink guava! What made the experience better was the board games that you could select, they have a little section by the bar where you can grab and choose a game. This is one of our favorite places to go for a drink in Brentwood/Antioch area. It has a great location, lots of parking, great selection of beers, ciders and seltzers, and good snacks/food. I LOVE that they carry Untitled Art seltzer. I haven't been able to find it at many places, and it's so good. The food is awesome too, if you like a casual dinner and small appetizers. Hop Asylum is absolutely awesome. We stopped in about 1400 when there was a small crowd. The staff was very friendly and talkative. They were pleased to answer questions and share their knowledge. We ordered a pastrami panini and a chipotle panini and both were outstanding. For those who like stouts, Hop Asylum always has stouts on tap in addition to several bottles of stout available, too. First time dining at Hop Asylum, and will be back for sure...even though we are both at least 30 minutes away from Brentwood. Great job Hop Asylum, keep up the great work. Came here for a date night and it was decent. We arrived around 8:15pm and ordered a porter and Prosecco. Then we started playing on their arcade machines. I must admit that Hop Asylum has a great ambiance and really caters to people gathering and having a blast; for us at least having a great time telling stories and having a laugh. There are different configurations of seating; from stools to couch, and everything in between. Our boys had their Hefeweizen for all the rounds and that was pretty good. We've been coming here for a while. This place is great. It's small but it has a great atmosphere. It's always chill. The employees are great and some remember us which makes us feel welcome. The beer on tap is always good. They always have good recommendations. The beer selection Togo is always good and priced fairly. Brentwood has a few tap rooms but none of them compare to this place. The prices are affordable and the food is very good. They have several beers and ciders on tap. They do not allow anyone under 21 so there are no screaming kids which is nice. Been here couple times always a bad experience. Tap rooms breweries etc are usually all pretty chill in Brentwood but this place always has something negative to say. Walk in with my dog in her stroller we order a beer and after we pay and get our beers she says our dog has to go outside. Been coming to Hop Asylum when Brandon owned it and it was called Imperiale. Brian the new owner is on top of all things craft and the quality of craft coming in is amazing! This is the only craft beer bar I frequent in Brentwood. The beer tenders are knowledgeable and fun loving behind the bar. Brian, the owner is usually around and willing to talk to all patrons who come in. The beer, on tap, shelves and the freezers is quality! East Coast, local and in between there is always some new and unique to try or take away. I've yet to be disappointed in what Hop Asylum has to offer. Food trucks during the week and BINGO on Thursdays, what's not to like? There is a small menu offering of bar type snacks and food.
