Don't you wish you had a combo like me. Lacey is a great place to try different food. It's like a foodie heaven. I decided to check out a food truck called Meggie's Lumpia and it was with other food trucks right beside Pope John Paul II school. Look for RED truck you couldn't miss it. I didn't want to try adobo but it seems like a lot of people were ordering it. so it must be good. Anyway, I got the beef stew (kaldereta). You can tell someone knows hot to cook. Perfect sauce with bay leaves, tender juicy bites of beef and root vegetable that were nicely roasted. 5 star!!! We also got the noodle dish, nicely seasoned reminded me of my stay in the Philippines. And yes! The egg roll, Meggie's Lumpia, was excellent. You can tell it's scratch- made and the dipping sauce was epic. Nicely reduced. It has a sweet heat that goes well with the egg roll. Mmm mmmm good!!! read more

I was excited to try Meggie's but I walked away underwhelmed. The lechon kawali was overcooked and dry with an overpowering garlic taste. The pancit was 98 % noodles 2% veg and chicken and had no flavor and lacked fish sauce. This leaves the last thing on my plate the lumpia which should be their signature item it was disappointing as there againwas an overpowering garlic flavor. Overall the food lacked flavor unlike the Filipino food I grew up eating. read more

My opinion of Meggie Lumpia is they are overpriced for the goods I received, 10 pieces for $13.50 + tax. The lumpia's are uniformed in size on the thinness aspect. The ratio of meat over powered the amount of vegetables. So the taste of the lumpia was off for me. I did like the sweet chili sauce which had a bit of a spicy kick. The container the lumpia came in seemed too small for 10 pieces, immediately one rolled over and fell on the ground in front of the cashier but I received no acknowledgment of that wasted lumpia from him. read more

We visited Meggie's food truck during the night market. My partner and I were prepared to wait as we enjoyed the lumpia from here. The wait to order was maybe 30-45 minutes. It's not too bad. We order and then we waited another 30-45 minutes. Again, we were prepared to wait. It hits close to the hour mark and we notice that the patron after us got his food and we had ordered similar items. We think nothing of it and just thought we had ordered a little more than him. After another 15 minutes, my partner goes up to inquire and the cashier lost our ticket and didn't program our buzzer to anything. If we didn't inquire we wouldn't have been buzzed at all. They say to give them 15 minutes as they're going to prepare our order. That time comes and goes and my partner inquires again as so many people after us have gotten their order and have ordered the same things we have. At this point, we ask for a refund and the owner refuses. Stating that she's giving us extra so that should make up for it. At this point it's not about free items it's about the service and making it right. We didn't want the food, just our money back. After we asked a few times for our money back and her refusing, we finally get our food. The additional "free items" to make up for our wait were 3 pieces of lumpia. Probably the worst customer service we've experienced for a while. Won't be back as this left a bad taste over all. read more

Their service is so disappointing. We called ahead of time for our order. We were even asked by them how long we're going to be there. We said we will be there in about 15 mins. And they said give us about 20 mins for the order. When we arrived, it's understandable to wait. But to wait for about an hour and a half for the order we called ahead of time, and worst we waited for that long just to be told that they don't have enough for the order that we wanted. Mind you, a friend of ours who just came and ordered the same thing as ours on the spot and they got their food first. This is so not acceptable for a food business. read more

I've had amazing lumpia. But not from here. I've spent a lot of time working in restaurants and my assumption was the oil wasn't fresh. I work with someone from Guam who made lumpia in her home and sold it to me frozen. That was amazing. Meggie's was not. Just the smell of it in the house was like a poorly managed McDonald's. Out of my curiosity within our community, I came across a food truck that is close to my heart - Meggie's Lumpia. It is a Filipino-owned food truck company that caters and serves only Filipino food. Who doesn't like lumpia, right? I have lived in the USA for more than a decade now and hardly ever hear of anyone who does not enjoy lumpia. During my visit today, March 29, 2024, at noon, this food truck had a long line. The owner provides excellent customer service, and the food tasted great when I tried it. I no longer need to search far and wide for Filipino food cravings because this food truck is conveniently located right around the corner in our neighborhood.
