I was so excited to introduce my husband's sister and her husband to Filipino food. According to Google Maps, the restaurant was supposed to be open, but I was really disappointed to find it closed. They recently moved from Illinois to Oklahoma and then here, but we'll still make the most of our time together. Sad lang ako kasi we are from the North just for to try this food.

My opinion of Meggie Lumpia is they are overpriced for the goods I received, 10 pieces for $13.50 + tax. The lumpia's are uniformed in size on the thinness aspect. The ratio of meat over powered the amount of vegetables. So the taste of the lumpia was off for me. I did like the sweet chili sauce which had a bit of a spicy kick. The container the lumpia came in seemed too small for 10 pieces, immediately one rolled over and fell on the ground in front of the cashier but I received no acknowledgment of that wasted lumpia from him.

Ordered beef lumpia and cassava cake Both were disappointing, the lumpia on the outside seem like they are full of filling but upon biting into one, half of it is air/ empty wrapper and little filling. The cassava cake was the size of a jello shot, very small, you think of cake that it would be more the size of a slice of pie/cheesecake Growing up eating filipino food, I wanted to support the cause, but have to be honest, definitely had better

Best Lumpia in Thurston County. Located In Lacey, Washington.

Out of my curiosity within our community, I came across a food truck that is close to my heart - Meggie's Lumpia. It is a Filipino-owned food truck company that caters and serves only Filipino food. Who doesn't like lumpia, right? I have lived in the USA for more than a decade now and hardly ever hear of anyone who does not enjoy lumpia. During my visit today, March 29, 2024, at noon, this food truck had a long line. The owner provides excellent customer service, and the food tasted great when I tried it. I no longer need to search far and wide for Filipino food cravings because this food truck is conveniently located right around the corner in our neighborhood. I love our Filipino community.

The pork lumpia & the beef caldereta were wonderful! The dessert lumpia my husband really liked. I hate bananas - it's a texture thing for me - so I didn't try. If you like bananas this is likely a terrific dessert.

Arirang is one of the smaller Asian markets in the area, so I decided to stop by while looking for pork belly and a specific ingredient--shrimp paste. I was hoping to find fresh pork belly since I'm used to my previous markets having a small butcher or deli section, but the only option here was frozen. It still worked out fine, but I did have to defrost it for a couple of hours before I could cook with it, which wasn't ideal when I was hoping to make lunch right away. One thing I did appreciate was their selection of Korean sides. I was pleasantly surprised to find seasoned black beans, which I really enjoy and don't always see at some markets. Their snack section was okay as well, though the overall selection felt pretty limited--understandable given the size of the store. I thought I might have missed the shrimp paste somewhere in the aisles, but when I asked the cashier, she let me know they were currently out of stock. That was a bit disappointing since I came in with a short list of ingredients and still couldn't find what I needed, so I ended up going to a Vietnamese market down the street afterward. The shop itself is pretty small, and the entrance to the parking lot feels a bit tight but there's a fair amount of spaces to park. I do like that this store is very close to where I live in Lacey, so it's convenient when I just need to stop by quickly. Overall, it's an okay neighborhood market and I might come back here for convenience, but I'm not sure it'll become my go-to spot for bigger Asian grocery shopping trips.

I'm so glad I went with 2 not 3 because these things are HUGE! As big as my head/profile. I really enjoyed eating them. So crunchy and just something new for me. They did taste like lumpia for me - not Shanghai but the actual eggroll kind. The ends of the empanadas were the best part in My opinion. OMG' I can eat that part all day lol. I was tempted to buy but didn't. I did end up with cassava cake. Oh, that brings back good old memories of my mom making this! Thank you HERITAGE! Love the name too!!!

Absolutely loved their food and ambiance…read more For food, we got the adobo pork belly (comes with macaroni salad, rice, and vegetables on the side) and the pandan fried chicken (comes with rice and veggies on the side). Pandan was super crispy and rice was soft, not mushy. Adobo was rich in garlic and in smoky and sweet flavor. Love they kept the fat on some adobo pieces. Each dish was just enough for us to finish for breakfast. For drinks, we ordered the calamansi juice and calamansi iced tea. Both taste great. Side notes: You order up front, bring your table number, and sit wherever you like. They will bring you your food. Once youre done, please put your food away in the back, which is located on the left hand side of the deli if youre facing the deli at the entryway. It was busy on a Sunday around noon. A few were available but was filled quickly after about half an hour of us arriving. People tend to spend time here. About an hour if youre just there to have a quick meal, but families were gathering and spending time with no rush which i loved. No waitress or waiter to check on you, just only to bring you your food which took a reasonable 2 minutes for drinks and about 10 - 15 for food. Overall, we definitely recommend!

The ube pancakes were delicious soft, slightly sweet, and definitely a fun treat. Fair warning though, they will leave your teeth a little purple for a bit but honestly worth it. I also got the ube coffee and... YUM. Such a good combo with the pancakes. Overall, everything was solid and full of flavor. I'd definitely come back, especially for that pork sisig. Tita is definitely cooking in the back you can taste it.

I came here to Ben Thanh with a specific mission: finding shrimp paste that I couldn't track down at another oriental market down the street. Thankfully, they had exactly what I was looking for, which immediately earned them some points in my book. It's always a relief when a place carries those harder-to-find items. While browsing the aisles, I was pleasantly surprised to spot a few other things I'd like to come back for in the future, like different varieties of rice and Chinese sausages. One thing that really caught me off guard was that they sold baklava here! I decided to give it a try and, honestly, it tasted pretty good. I didn't do a full grocery haul this time, so I can't really comment on how their prices compare, but for convenience alone it's a great little shop to have nearby. Since I live fairly close in Lacey, I can definitely see myself stopping by again to check out more of their selection. There wasn't really a line; the cashier spoke both English and Vietnamese, was polite, welcoming enough, and quick to ring me up. Overall, a nice little market that came through when I needed it.
