I just ordered the Beef Shwaarma Wrap from your booth at the Fireworks festival tonight. After the first bite I was immediately overrun by the taste of chemicals.( You are supposed to use food handler's gloves, NOT medical gloves as they are nitrile and neoprene and that seeps into the food.) I returned to the booth and handed the food back to the woman at the register and informed her of the issue. As I asked for a refund she promptly rolled her eyes, turned around and ignored me. I received no refund. I am on disability and this was to be the ONE time I could enjoy a bit of a splurge for food as it was to be a summer holiday treat. Worst $20 I have ever spent. read more

Came here just before sunset in late September so it was a bit cold and there was nothing going on in the area since it was way after the farmer's market. It would be cool if they had music playing so you could tell they were open because it was so quiet, we thought they were closed, but the homeless looking guy sitting on one of the benches popped into the truck and took our order, lol. We ordered the beef hummus plate and the beef shawerma platter and both were so good. They had a couple of bench tables in front and more in the area, but it was really cold so we ate our food and go. Been 3 times now. Discovered it by chance. Always on the lookout for as authentic of a shawarma or falafel that I can find. After talking with the two guys on my first visit a few weeks ago, I asked them where they are from, because I recognized that they are from the Middle East. Well, they are from Nazareth, and I've been to Nazareth, and had a couple shawarmas there, so that sold me. Most authentic in the area, for sure. It has amba in it and for those who are saying there's not enough seasoning, I would ask for extra amba and their house made hot sauce. I have had better shawarma in Israel, but this is the best one in this area. Hummus is good too. Give it a try and ask questions. read more

We had a delicious and healthy meal at Olympita. We got the shish kebab with salad as a gluten free option. We also had the burger which was stuffed with meat and salad, garlic sauce and pickled veggies. If you like it spicy, I think you have an option to grab spicy sauce. The hummus was so good as a dip for the yummy fries and also a salad dressing. It was very filling and definitely a repeat place to have food from. read more

I had the Shawarma platter and my husband had the beef shawarma pita . Everything is so fresh and was so delicious. The pita was huge! Was so glad to find this great food truck on a rainy November afternoon. Got the chicken shawarma, which was packed with flavor, and also packed with a lot of chicken. Amazingly the ingredients were evenly distributed (chicken, toppings, sauce) so each bite was great - have never experienced that in a shawarma before. The hot sauce is awesome. We actually were worried some of the reviews were fake because of the glowing recommendations and small number of reviews, but this place is for real. We love middle eastern food and this is some of the best I have had. We had the chicken kabob, a side of hummus, and the beef shawarma with pita. The pita and hummus were amazing, and the sauces on the side added the perfect authentic flavors. Everything was very fresh and I like that their meat is locally sourced. Make this a priority stop in Olympia. read more

I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this place! I usually order the schwarma platter with extra amba sauce. Not only do they use Stewart's meats, but it's deliciously seasoned. I know people have commented about lack of seasoning and I could disagree more. Maybe for people that like to salt and pepper all of their food even at restaurants. The portions and prices are very reasonable. You pay $12-15 anywhere you go for a platter type of dish. THEY HAVE THE BEST BAKLAVA I HAVE EVER TASTED!!! I love the buttery, honey taste. Yum! I also can't speak well enough about the owners and their service. Very sweet and kind people. They try to get to know their customers personally. Excellent shawarma and falafel with great customer service made from a little food truck in a quiet park with heated outdoor seating not far from capital mall. I have been to Israel and eaten shawarma in many other cities and countries and Olympita can compete with some of the best. I had the lamb/beef pita which was gone before I could take a photo. A fluffy, fresh pita stuffed full with well-seasoned and tender meat served with classic fixings (I recommend adding their house-made hot sauce to anything and everything). The shawarma was so good that I went back for the falafel which was once again stuffing a soft pita full of delectably crispy, golden globes of just-right seasoned chickpeas. Exactly what I want and expect from a good shawarma/falafel stand. They even give you a loyalty punch card so you can quickly earn a free baklava and pita when you inevitably return again and again.
