I just came for what I want, telling me I need this and that is really obnoxious and overwhelming. The "nurse" that placed the IV had NO GLOVES on‼ She also removed the IV with no gloves‼. I haven't been eating or sleeping well and 10 minutes into my session, I instantly felt my headache go away! I am NOT a needle person and prior to getting settled in, I got to choose any fancy chair by the theater area and staff provided me with a towel to keep me warm. They also gave me a pillow to rest my arm and chatted with me about what the process is like as I looked away. Went last Saturday because I was feeling extra fatigued. No energy and just exhausted. I showed up based on the reviews and the fact that they were able to see me the same day. There is parking in the back. I spoke with Danny the office manager first when I arrived. There is a $50 consult fee if you decide not to proceed with any services. I knew from the get go that I wanted the IV drop so the fee didn't apply to me. I spoke with the nurse practitioner and she was very thorough in asking me questions about my current condition, past blood work, and any previous treatments that I tried. We discussed a treatment plan and then I met with Danny again to go over the prices and packages. He was kind enough to work with me on a package tailored to my plan and modified the price to help me with my budget. Obviously the more treatments you opt for the pricier the package can get. They offer a variety of IV treatments and the one I needed was on the higher end of the spectrum due to the amount of minerals and vitamins it contained. Anyhow the 5 stars is also for service. I was at the clinic a while (3 hours) bc it was my first time and they wanted to make sure I was comfortable. I never tried IV therapy before (apart from having it done at the hospital prior to surgery) so this was a new experience. I was checked on repeatedly while I was doing my IV drip and provided heated pads to maximize the comfort especially since I came when it was cold and raining. After 4 weeks post Covid I'm still very weak. My first IV at Mega Wellness helped some however I was told it would take 3 treatments for the full effect. I came in for an IV treatment. The receptionist Chelsea is sweet but lacks confidence and would do anything just to get you an appointment. Super Pushy! I chalked it off to lack of experience and thought maybe she's new. Also a strong language barrier I had to repeat myself several times for her to understand what I am saying. I decided to give them a chance and met with the nurse practitioner Aerah. I found Aerah's approach completely off putting. I felt like I was sitting with a salesperson. She verbally threw up on me and did not care to stop and listen to my concerns. Every time I tried to explain something about my medical history she would talk over me and dismiss what I am saying. When I expressed my dissatisfaction with the fact that she's not listening to me she ignored me and bulldozed through her presentation. She lacks listening skills, empathy and bedside manners. Also very arrogant and aggressive. She just wanted to push the supplements and products She acted like she knows my own body better than I do!!! When I told her I don't need the consultation since I know exactly what I need which is the IV ( they charge you $50 for the consultation) her eyes widened and she looked irritated then a few seconds later she asked me if I am working!!!!! Judgmental much???! Just because I don't care to throw my money away for something I don't need doesn't mean I am unemployed. When I asked her a simple question about IV customization, she got so defensive! It was a very uncomfortable interaction. I would never spend a penny there and would tell everyone I know to stay away. I would give them a zero if it was an option. Save your time and go to a place where you are treated like a person and listened to! I highly doubt that those 38 5 star reviews are all legitimate!
