Really big selection of products here. It's out of the way but this store is bigger than normal and has more products than other locations, most of which are in stock (popular stuff runs out, naturally). Vitamin Shoppe is the best chain for supplements in my opinion, not just for selection but because the employees are always nice and honest. They may be slightly more than some other places who have regular sales, but it's because they stock good quality products. Even their store brand products are good quality. Knowledgeable employees are worth their weight in gold when you're looking for good quality supplements, as that is quite an expensive waste of money if you don't know better and only order online. read more

(COVID-19 Review) Prior to place my curbside pick-up (due to an email promotional discount), I first called the West Covina location to double check their product availability (as suggested by the company website) but no one picked up. So I ended up calling the Brea location and the call was picked up within just a few rings and my question was also answered right away. Great customer service and friendly associates! After confirming product availability, I placed the order online right away for curbside pick-up. My order was fulfilled quickly and I came to pick it up after a few days. Since it was sweltering hot, I ended up going inside to pick up the order instead of placing a call inside and waiting in the car. Pick-up was fast and easy, as it was per my previous experience. Ever since the Rowland Heights location has closed, I have placed my orders online but I may come to the Brea location in the future instead of ordering way too much because of the free shipping minimum. The store was clean and the door was propped open so that the customers do not need to keep touching the door to go in and out of the store. I like trying new products; the customer service always reassures me that I can always return it if I didn't like it as long as I still kept my receipt. This store has quite a bit more than the other ones that I have been to. And don't forget that the taxes are a touch less in the OC. don't forget that "The Hat" is across the street just enough time to put the fat back on...especially with ones of their special pastrami. read more

I went in as I needed to get Unfiltered Apple Cider Vinegar to help the acidity of a friend. I walked in and a most pleasant young woman guided me to the section and I found the ACV. Not only does it help acidity it will also lower weight , improve skin complexion and get rid of Acne. I also asked the lady to show me the homeopathic section, which had Ignatia which helps prevent depression, anxiety & PTSD. They also had Arnica the universal pain and injury remedy named the rescue remedy. I came back impressed the store was well stocked and clean. This location is across the street from the Brea mall. It is right off of Imperial Highway on Randolph. Plenty of parking. Stand alone building. Newer. Clean. Well stocked. Knowledgeable staff. Price matching available, but hit or miss depending on which website/store you are matching. Hint: The more you spend, the more they are inclined to price match. I like this location. I will probably make it my go-to location for supps. The day I went, the Optimum Nutrition rep was there answering questions on their products and giving out free samples. So this year has been great. I discovered Yelp, had so much fun writing reviews, and became a Yelp Elite. Unfortunately as my reviews increased, so did the number on the scale. Hey, it was a good run. So, cliche as it may be, 2012 is my year for healthy Yelps! And for that, I headed first to The Vitamin Shoppe. This is my first time buying a significant number of supplements and vitamins. I'm completely revamping my dietary regimen and needed a lot of advice. I had a shopping list that was overwhelming for a newbie like me. Here's what I bought: Elite XT Protein/Enzyme Matrix (protein meal replacement/supp.) Conjugated linoleic acid (CLA) Creatine (ethyl ester HCL- not monohydrate) Omega 3 EPA/DHA A multivitamin specifically for women easy-c (easy to absorb vitamin C supp.) Milk Thistle (a liver cleanse supp.) Despite having my list set out in advance, I was totally overwhelmed with the variety of choices for each supplement. Do I want this complex, or that one? Does this one have glutamine? Is Easy-C comparable to Ester-C? Do I want the extended release protein formula or the standard whey protein? And for all those questions, there was a very knowledgeable worker (whose name I unfortunately didn't get) at every step to easily explain the differences, benefits, drawbacks, etc. He recommended the best brands with quality and value in mind. He even noticed as I was checking out that I accidentally grabbed the multivitamin without Iron when I wanted Iron. Very attentive. I'll be back~ read more

This location is always clean and staff is always friendly and helpful. A huge negative though is that they have dark tinted windows and from the street, I never know if theyre open or closed. They used to have a nice, well-lit sign that I always used to look for. I was told that the supervisor removed it. It's the best retail chain to buy your supplements for "in person" transactions. If you love purchasing your goods online, then ignore my review, most online deals and prices usually cant be beat by a retail chain anyway. But if you like browsing, checking out new products, actually being able to read the labels and ask questions. Then come here and check it out. They have all of their products labeled with their prices and the employees are not trying to make a big comission like a MAX Muscle. Max Muscle has NONE of their products labeled with prices, and their salesmen have all the product prices memorized or at least act like they do. Its disgusting when retail stores don't label prices on their products. It makes the customer feel like the salesman can manipulate the prices how he see's fit. Come in to this shop, see what they offer, compare prices, and pick up all their goods. They have great inventory and I have not been disapointed with having to go to another shop because they are sold out. Shop here! First impression was an online order today and in store pick up. I ordered online, quick and easy. Did not receive an order confirmation so I called the shop. The line kept ringing busy a few times kind of annoying but it's ok I kept trying and finally got through. Maria is the other reason why I gave more stars, she was pleasant and helpful. When I arrived I called the shop the guy who answered sounded miserable and annoyed with my call. I told him my name a couple of times. First I was afraid, I was petrified. ...then an employee helped me out and everything is just dandy. It's embarrassingly my first time trying out any kind of workout supplement and it's easy to get lost in all the diversity of products. A male employee there (forgot his name, sorry!) was really helpful in breaking down why and when to take supplements, and answered the many questions I had regarding my personal body build. He never really "pushed" any one product or additional products with the protein I asked for, but simply gave me suggestions. Stay away! The place is huge and the staff is nice... BUT THE PRICES ARE INFLATED. As someone who has been lifting and buying nutrition for about 15 years.. I can tell you that 45% discount sign out front is just to inflate the prices. Stay away. Look at places like Nutrizone and Max Muscle. You will see they are smaller locations with a smaller overhead. This lets them have much cheaper prices. I got protein from and a IsoPure drink from Nutrizone 3 days ago. $44.99 for protein and $3.50 for the drink. I swung by the vitamin shoppe because I was in the parking lot and wanted another cold drink and the same protein was over $60! ... With the "discount off MSRP" and the drink was $4.25... on their website you can get the drinks for $3.33... Stay Away.. Check the Nutrizone in Yorba Linda ( about 5 miles away ) to get a much better deal. read more
