It took over 30 minutes tonight for the staff to get our order of 3 simple items out to us. Two of the items were not even done correctly or missing stuff in the dessert (e.g. boba and condensed milk for the black sugar boba shaved ice, and the boba tofu pudding was cold instead of hot). There was literally a line of customers standing at the bar asking where their orders were, and it seemed like they would only start working on orders when you complained! The orders were haphazardly put together to the point where sugar syrup from many of the ingredients were dripping on the side of the bowls that they served. The least they could do is clean up the presentation so that patrons aren't picking up bowls that are sticky. The staff doesn't clean up tables nor the floor where there's literally sticky boba all over the place. They are either really short staffed, or haven't been trained properly. For spending almost $40 on 3 overpriced desserts, I expect a lot better quality, service and cleanliness of this establishment! read more

If you love Taiwanese desserts, you have to try Meet Fresh! I've been going there pretty often lately and I'm honestly hooked. My go-to order is their shaved ice or grass jelly with taro balls -- the texture of the taro balls is sooo good, chewy but not too hard, and everything tastes really fresh (just like the name ). I like all their desserts, as a Taiwanese, that's the desserts we like during summer time. This location has both indoor and outdoor seating. The reason I gave 2 stars is because the service. Basically there's no service to me! There're self ordering machines so people do the ordering themselves, if you really have problems they can still take your order, however, there's no one at counter and they won't even greet you when you walked in. When the order was ready, they just left on the counter, customers needed to pay attention for their orders. read more

One of the worst Meet Fresh ever. We ordered at 7:20pm and we got our food around 8:30pm. The waitress didn't speak English and we were trying to get 1/3 sweet but ended up getting 100%. When I miss Taiwanese sweets I come to Meet Fresh! The self order kiosks weren't working or turned on, so we had to wait awhile to get our order taken at the cashier. The tables were also a little sticky from previous customers. It is a nice place to get dessert, warm or cold and you don't have to wait too long for your order. There's also no prices on the menu so you don't know how much anything costs until you check out. Maybe on the kiosks it has the price but we didn't have that option. read more

Stopped by on Friday, 11/10/23. I've only tried Meet Fresh in Westwood Village so this is my first time trying in the Westfield Santa Anita Mall (located outside of the main mall). Ordered the following and dined in: - 1 medium mochi shaved ice = $12.75 TOTAL WITH TAX: $14.06 SOOOO GOODDD! The medium size is good for 2 people and this shaved ice is one of the recommended desserts. I would totally come back and try out all of the various options - endless opportunities here. My go-to for grass jelly shaved ice and taro balls. This location is located in the Shops at Santa Anita. The dessert is not too sweet and the grass jelly is very jiggly. I enjoy the creamer that they give on the side. The shaved ice is taste like snow and pairs extremely well with the grass jelly. Taro balls are chewy. I love meet fresh. My favorite is their Signature Grass Jelly Ice. It comes in a small bowl and they pour half and half or some type of milk over it. I think the milk just makes it juicier which I love and sometimes I have to ask for more milk lol. I like how the SIgnature Icy doesn't have sugar just poured over it like some other shaved ice orders. Its sweetness is subtle and the grass jelly is soo soft and delicious. It isn't hard and blocky like what you would get in canned versions. Their mochi is also amazingly soft and chewy. If I'm ever looking for a shaved ice fix, this is the spot! read more

And let me tell you... this place had a constant flow of customers the entire hour we were there! People were coming in and out left and right, with only one ordering machine, so expect a little patience if it gets busy. Overall, both shaved ices were pretty decent and made for the perfect little "I already ate too much but I'm still getting dessert" moment. Boneless with soy garlic: I enjoyed the soy garlic flavor more than the honey butter! This was very crispy and tasty too, but not as juicy as the half chicken. Overall, everything was so delicious. All of us enjoyed it! I do prefer bone-in chicken, so I'd probably just get that the next time I come here. I definitely would get the mung bean pancake again too. It almost feels like you've stepped into this little Japanese village rather than just another restaurant. Whoever designed this place understood the assignment. I went during the week, so thankfully it wasn't very crowded, and my friend and I were able to sit upstairs in one of the honeycomb booths. If one is available, DO IT. It made the whole experience that much more fun, and you get such a cool view of the restaurant from up there. Now, FOOD. I ordered the Pork Tonkatsu Omurice with curry sauce, which comes with chicken fried rice wrapped in that beautiful fluffy omelet, topped with pork tonkatsu and curry. When they bring it out, they actually ask if you'd like to record the presentation before they cut/open the egg--which, obviously, YES. It's one of those little touches that turns ordering food into an actual experience. And it was BOMB. The egg was fluffy, the pork tonkatsu had that crispy texture, and everything worked really well with the fried rice and curry. The curry itself isn't particularly spicy, so if you're someone who doesn't tolerate much heat, don't let the word curry scare you. It had plenty of flavor without being hot. Personally, I like my food SPICY spicy, so I added some extra spice to mine, but that's completely personal preference. I also ordered the Thai iced tea, and that was delicious--fresh, creamy, refreshing, and exactly what I wanted with the meal. Overall, I genuinely enjoyed the food, but I think the atmosphere is what pushed the experience over the top for me. The restaurant itself is just SO COOL. There are restaurants where you eat, leave, and that's it--and then there are places where you're looking around the entire time because you keep noticing another little detail. KYURAMEN was definitely the latter. Good food + Thai tea + an omurice presentation + sitting inside a freaking honeycomb booth overlooking this gorgeous restaurant? Yeah. I'm coming back. I have yet to come to 626 ice cream during a community event like their Mahjong nights, but I know they collaborate with local orgs! Note that their prices are a little higher than regular soft serve spots, but I'm happy to support them as they pour back into their community. They definitely are worth the price with all the love that they put into their ice cream and their community.

I love Meet Fresh!!! The dessert tofu is my favorite. I also love the rice balls, green beans topping, and barley. Everything is fresh and so delicious. I love the interior design of this new store, very modern, a great place to meet up with friends for a dessert. The only one negative that I must point out, just like the TC store... why does it take so long for the food to come out? There are many drink places at the mall. Other places are whipping out the drinks so fast. I would just say that don't give people a reason to consider other drink places because the service is slow. Honestly, I don't know why it's so slow. Something you guys should look into. But I do love the arcadia store and I want you guys to do well. Closer for me to enjoy Taiwanese desserts and not have to drive to TC. read more

Despite a relatively smaller portion size compared to some other venues that give you the option of dining in or a to go bowl, the dessert's taste was very refreshing and sweet. I had a large order of 25 drinks to go. I brought them an ice chest for my drinks. When I went to pick it up, I was blown away by how well the ice chest was packed with drinks with extra ice. The drinks that didn't fit in the ice chest were placed in a box with additional ice in the bag and the box was taped up. It made transporting the drinks so easy. The workers who put this together were very thoughtful. I didn't have to worry about drinks falling over or spilling in the car. So nice! Every time I go to the mall, I get a drink from MF. Love mango green tea!! Today, the line was wrapped around to the counter. It's great! Good business!! Since the line was so long and I had to wait a while to order, I noticed that the place is a mess. Napkins all over the floor, straw wrappers on the ground, and the place just looked messy!
