This is the games library! You can borrow one of these and play it at one of their tables.

I love Meeples Games! It is definitely the best game store in Seattle. The owners and all of the staff members are true board game geeks! They are passionate about the industry and they have actually played a lot of games, so they are super helpful and give awesome recommendations. Meeples has an extensive game lending library. You can pretty much borrow almost any game they sell and play it in the store. They have a cafe area with tables, so you can order food and drinks while you play. They have flatbread pizzas, sandwiches, salads, coffee, tea, beer, etc. I really like their ginger cookie! I've come here several times with my husband. It is an excellent place for date night or to hang out with your friends. The place is very easy to get to and they have a free (90 minute) parking lot. There is also free street parking in this area and there is a bus stop nearby. The games at Meeples are reasonably priced and they also have a sale section. They have a great selection of games on-site, but if they don't have something in stock, they can usually order it for you. Sometimes I can find games a little bit cheaper online, but I really enjoy supporting a local, small business like Meeples instead. Meeples also has a back room with tables which is called the Thunderdome. They regularly host Pokemon, Magic, and Dungeons and Dragons events there. I'm not into any of those, but I love that they give tweens a safe place to hang out and play games.

Came to play board games. Did not know there was a food option. Had salad and burger. Both excellant. Staff was helpful and attentive. Bathroom clean.

I've been curious about this place since they opened in May. We decided to head over and check out the space for possible RPG purposes. When we entered the store, we were greeted immediately by the employee on the register. Meeples is well-lit and easily laid out. Games were arranged well and their lending library was kept behind the register. After looking around for a bit, spoke at length with Jeff, the employee manning the register and floor. While we spoke, he answered all of our questions with ease and would check on other people in the store. The space is bisected by the store proper with gaming areas on both sides. On one side, there's the Mana Café with casual game space for 30. On the other side, The Thunderdome provides a more competitive play / tournament area and seats 36. Tables could be reserved for organised play events or in advance via email, otherwise they were open-play. And if you need it, they have lockers for your stuff while you are playing. We had dinner earlier so I didn't get to try any of the café offerings. Their drinks included espresso and coffee drinks (True North), a selection of teas (Tao of Tea), rotating local brews (beer and cider) on tap, sodas, with local pastries and snacks. If you were hungrier, the menu offered a good selection of items (snacks, salads, and sandwiches) that seemed appealing. There are also larger shared plates with meats, cheeses, and fruits. Gluten-free, vegetarian, and vegan-friendly too! Connor was super-friendly also, and he came out a couple times to wipe down tables and straighten the chairs. The entire space was very clean overall with ample lighting and no pressure to vacate the tables. Street parking available and a free private lot with a 90-minute time limit. The store is ADA accessible with an elevator that reaches the second floor. I would return here to play some games and have a snack, most definitely!

I was informed the tourney would likely go until 9pm. They host both the card game and the switch/video game challenges. I did have a card to trade and the breakdown of the process was the most thorough I've seen yet and I wanted store credit as you get 80% vs 70% if you got cash only. Anywho, the wait to be called did take longer than I'd like but given it was busy and my decision on what to use for store credit took awhile, I wouldn't deduct anything. Avery (sp?) was the main person who helped me and she was very patient. I also bought some playable cards (they have a stash of organized cards in bins near their staff-only area which other employees helped me out with. All-in-all, very spacious and well organized! They have one exclusively for double rares/ex cards, ultra rares/full arts, ace specs, etc. They even have a box for people to drop off ETB boxes in for people to claim for free if they want to take home. I also noticed some instant ramen station which they utilized for food in the store. They have some nice wall art too that was handprints as well. Would revisit if I'm ever back in Seattle, WA!

The staff was also friendlier and helpful. If you're looking for Pokémon cards, this is definitely not the best place to look for them. They had a bunch of single cards displayed and it looks pretty randomized. Not a good variety and honestly looks disorganized. They at least have a decent amount of sealed products, but everything was above market price. The staff wasn't friendly, nor were they interactive. The place wasn't that organized. There's a decent amount of table with you want to play card games with your friends.

Then there was the wall of 1000-piece puzzles and the 3D Legos and my mind was blown! I bought my husband some magnets and look forward to returning. Now that we got that out of the way, I really liked this little game and puzzle shop inside of the mall. I admit, I don't normally go into stores like this, but I saw their puzzle selection as I was walking past and had to check it out. And I'm so glad I did! I love puzzles and recently got a large one for my birthday after having not built one in years. I had so much fun that I was itching to get another--so the timing was perfect. I spent most of my time there looking at the puzzles, but I did wander around the rest of the store and saw lots of table top games, both mainstream and more advanced for serious gamers. There were cards, dice sets, learning toys and science sets. I also saw classic, wooden chess and checkers sets, even game tables. If you're a Lego fan, there is a smaller selection here. And POP fans should probably check out this location for their large selection. What really got me pumped was seeing some of their Nintendo collectibles, items, and themed merchandise. There were mugs, Zelda Master Sword and shield props, and even Nintendo themed board games. I ended up getting two puzzles, a 1,000 piece panorama one ($25) and a smaller 550 piece Zelda puzzle ($10). However, I was extremely tempted by their selections of mystery puzzle games, Ravensburger, Aquarius, and Heye triangular box puzzles (much more expensive, but so cool). Can't wait to come back to get more!
