When I used to live in the area, I would always pass by the place on my downtown walks. I would always think its a children's bookstore based on the front look, but thanks to Seattle Independent Bookstore Day, i found an excuse to just take a peek without awkwardly walking away. I was wrong. Its more than a children's bookstore. They have books for all ages, greeting cards, games, and even toys. Each aisle/section is labeled easily for you to know what type of genre you are looking at. When walking in, was greeted immediately. Wasn't busy 30 minutes before close, but there were still a few people in here besides mem There is an abundance amount of books galore. One side is for kids and one side is for adults/young adults. They have used and new books. There are a few books that have creases on the bind though, but its a small bundle of them. Overall, will definitely come back again. read more

Fantastic used and new book shop in a lovely downtown area. The used books I picked up were in fantastic shape! There was a good variety of fiction books with a separate section for horror/sci fi/fantasy, my favorite genres. There were non-fiction books and a good-sized children's section. They puzzles, cards, stationary, and other bookish gifts to select from as well! Glad to restock my TBR (to be read) pile after polishing off 3 books while on vacation. read more

Slowly has become one of my favorite bookstores in the nearby area. Definitely over Barnes & Noble and feel much happier supporting smaller businesses like this one! I will say, their prices are a little higher than you would expect. But also, this isn't Target/Walmart! I believe they carry some secondhand/good condition books and those are at a discounted price. The cool thing about this place is that they also have gifts and games for those who aren't book lovers. I've run across some shirts and bags that I definitely wanna go back for when I have the funds haha. I would stop here if you had time and are in the area! A fun visit for sure. P.S. they won't have every book you're looking for! But they do carry some very current popular favorites. read more

Have only browsed briefly for now. Especially loved the way they have the children's and also graphic novels set up, by category and in bins. Very nice and very appealing - I almost bought one immediately due to the ease of identification and how inviting the books looked. One thing was I couldn't tell what the prices are? Probably I missed it but I expected "used" prices to be obviously shown and did not see them. Loved the variety of bookish gifts as well - great t-shirt collection and they have those giant flower pop out greeting cards that you usually only see online. Will definitely return. read more

As a reading addict, i discover a book i want, and call Page2, then get a call or txt couple days later..very happily shop there to fill my book need. Very pleasant folks, always happy. I go there about every month, never have to go elsewhere. Besides special orders, their displays get my attention for best sellers, etc. Page2 is a happy place for me. I've been going to Page 2 since high school when it was still a small store in the plaza behind Wendy's. I have to say, a lot has changed since then now that Page 2 is located in a bigger, brighter, and newer space on 152nd. This would be the third time it has moved if I remember correctly. It's been a few years now since I've gone in. The store has a classy feel to it with soft jazzy music in the background. It lacked the old musty book smell that I'm used to from the old store. The selection seems limited in most categories and I walked out of the store not finding anything. It's still a very nice book shop and I'm glad Page 2 is still around because I consider it a part of Burien. Now I wonder if my old store credits are still available on those old index cards they used to record with. Those were the good old days! read more

Came to this local bookstore for the first time with a friend after grabbing dinner at the Burien Fish House. They got my book for at least $10 score! Staff were wearing masks and keeping their distances. Definitely will come back here again if I need new books to read after I finish them off of my reading list read more

Wonderful bookstore! The children's section is particularly impressive. We appreciated the many books teaching vital values like diversity, inclusion, and caring for one another and the earth. The adult selection was wide ranging and interesting, including and far beyond current bestsellers. Absolutely LOVE this place! Well organized, clean and bright. Does not feel like a "second hand" store what so ever. I also love utilizing their website online to check what books they have in stock if I'm looking for something in particular before I head to the store. If I'm just browsing, everything is still so organized and the staff is more than willing to help you find what you need. They also have lots of fun gifts, like cards, bookmarks, jewelry etc if you need an easy gift idea. Having been a customer, - mostly in past years, I called to inquire about IF they had a particular book in stock. I'm told they could have it available several days later. About a week later, they called to inform me that it was in. Great news! What they didn't bother to tell me was - it had to be "special ordered" resulting in a price triple what I had expected to pay. When I arrived to pick it up, I felt guilty if I had chosen not to purchase it for over $30.00. I certainly did not expect to pay this price for a book when this particular bookstore specializes in "used books". I didn't even realize they ordered books "brand new". Lesson learned. read more

Gotta love a local bookstore. This is a very nice bookstore. They carry used and new books. Everything is organized very well. The staff working was super sweet, and wanted to make sure I found what I was looking for. I am a major fan of the kids area. Have a little table and chairs and some reading friends(stuffed animals). So you can look for what you want while your little one is occupied. The only downside would be the used books a priced a bit higher then I feel they should be. read more

My teenage daughter was waiting for me at this bookstore, and started reading a book that fascinated her, and that she was hoping I would buy for her. After a certain amount of time, the person working there told her she would have to stop reading the book, because they couldn't sell it as new if it was too "used". She told me it was all she could do to keep from crying; she didn't know there was a rule about reading books at the bookstore. I have honestly never heard anyone at a bookstore ask a patron to stop reading. The message I get is that she wasn't wanted there. I feel strongly about supporting our local bookstores, but I don't think we have the heart to go back to this one. read more

I was in downtown Burien for an artwalk and was actually quite surprised and impressed by the quality of the shops and restaurants, the public library and Burien Press coffee shop.
