Today he recommended this Wonder Woman comic to me with beautiful art and I've been loving it so far. The first time I visited Mighty Moose, I was looking for Shadow Service published by Vault Comics. I was travelling shortly, but Ilan found all the issues for me and held them until two months later when I returned. I really appreciated him going above and beyond to get me the comics I wanted. When I went in today, Ilan was working on a video of some super vintage comics for social media and it was really cool to see them up close. Yes their cards can sometimes be overpriced (I collect Pokemon cards), but sometimes there are great deals! Ilan sold me his entire stock of leftover Halloween Pokemon cards early last year for super cheap and I gave them out to my nieces and nephews who adored them!

They were also running a Magic event while helping us so they are very efficient. The prices were fair too! They have a space that has comics, board games, and other cool geek items from figures, plushies and more. Then they have another dedicated space for playing Magic with plenty of seating and tables as well as a section dedicated on card sleeves and singles. We're glad we stopped by and definitely check them out more often whenever we're in the area. They also have a pretty packed calendar so always something to do or check out.

We had stopped by Kent for a meal and decided to check out The Game Shelf as they weren't too far. The parking is huge and shared with a lot of businesses and it was Friday evening, so it took a little bit of time to find parking. Once we parked, we entered into the store and were greeted politely by the cashier. There was a Magic the Gathering event going on and it looks like their events calendar always has something going on each day which is great. They even did Final Fantasy TCG which we have yet to see anywhere else and we have been to card shops in several parts of Washington. They had quite a massive selection of wares from desk mats, card holders, sleeves, deck boxes, board games, dice, and much more. We bought a few things and as we were checking out, the cashier mentions to us about their reward system which is a character sheet that you can fill out and there are six slots that they will add up from each amount you spent. Depending on how much you spend will determine your discount which I think is really neat and unique from other card shops. It rewards you no matter how much you spend rather than a point system that could take more than a few purchases to accumulate. I also asked if they were dog friendly and they are, they just ask that your dog is well-behaved, don't make a fuss or bother other patrons, and to clean up after them.

Every Friday at 7pm is D&D night with a group who are willing to teach you:) they have events and other games there as well that people come to play. Staff always helpful and honest. Sets at market prices, best discounts on used sets (complete, like…read morenew, just not in box), and especially if there is a sale. They announce sales pretty last minute (like sometimes less than a days notice) so plan accordingly. Fill-a-bag table is frequently restocked, sometimes you can find partial builds in it. Sorted bins by color & type (tires, bionicle, etc). Separate bins for different priced items (wall panels, windows, jet and boat parts, etc). A build your own minifig bin, and a pretty extensive collection of minifigs from various themes in the case. They do buy some used sets but are particular so talk to staff first. A good assortment of built as-is sets in display cases, ask staff for details first. They also come to near by schools for Lego build nights, great folks supporting the community with fun activities.
