    Spawn #4 Book for $60.00...
    Matsuo A.

The girls are really great and very helpful and the store is always nice and kept clean... but the owner, think his name is Shane...im sorry, many books are WAYYYY OVER priced especially his key books. They are marked up at least 20 to 40% above raw value and this is especially true when watching his Facebook auctions. For example, the other day, he was auctioning off a newsstand edition 9.2 raw copy of Spawn #4 (1st Violator Cover), publicly claiming live that the "raw" 9.2 copy is valued at $100.00, but is willing to let it go for just $60.00...sounds like a deal right? WRONG! According to Overstreet, a newsstand edition raw copy of Spawn #4 in a NM- or 9.2 condition is valued at $24.00 NOT $100.00 as he claimed on Facebook Live and comicspriceguide has it listed at $9.40 for a NM-/9.2 raw grade. So...how and where exactly is he getting his numbers from??? If he was selling on ebay as an average individual, i'd get it...but he's NOT! He's selling it as a Comic Book Store, a legitimate professional comic book business! He's literally LYING to his customers online, live, on his Facebook auctions all to make a huge profit off of books valued at less his asking price! And its NOT just this book,,,he does it to ALL of his books that he auctions on Facebook Live! I mean people should do their research on a book BEFORE they take his words/prices at face value...anyone can get access to Overstreet Online or even comicspriceguide to research comic books. But in the end, its the customer's choice to pay for an over priced book...im just saying, why pay for something 20 to 40% more than its actual value? Hell, you can get a newsstand edition 9.2 raw copy of Spawn #4 on ebay for $20.00 plus shipping...under $30.00! I get it...I do. Its a business...but dont you think being honest and fair about a product would be a better choice than lying an marking the product upwards of 20 to 40%? 10%? 13?...sure I can live with...but anything over that just KILLS the hobby...

I wanted to get some sugar free goodies for the grandkids to go with their Easter gifts. They range in age from 5 to 23. Comics! Not easy during the pandemic. But, I called Shane at Atomic Comics and he was so nice! Acting as my personal shopper and comic book guru, we got a great variety of fun reading material. He quickly shipped them to me. I was thrilled when they came so quick and in mint condition! I have started my list for next week! Highly recommend.

This is the first comic store I've ever been to and it was an incredible experience. The owner is extremely personable, knowledgeable and spent nearly 30 minutes talking to me. What a fabulous find, and right next to the mall!

Great selection. Clean and new feeling. Great customer service and knowledge helped me find exactly what I was going for. Wasn't sure which wolverine comic to get but told him I wanted something dark and more violent friendly and ended up with "old man Logan" perfect.

Was able to get this retailer incentive of TWD 163 signed by Robert Kirkman at ECCC due to the help and advice of the owner of this shop.

We were greeted immediately upon walking in and felt genuinely welcomed into the shop. Great variety of comics and graphic novels, action figures, kid plushies, and other cool stuff. There was something for everyone in our party and that included a toddler! The store was very organized, and when we couldn't find what we were looking for we were quickly helped. The knowledge the staff had was incredible and it really helped make our experience so much better. The customer service is on point! I appreciate the honesty and transparency, and what also stood out if their willingness to help us find what we wanted. We were recommended to other local comic book shops as well, which I thought was pretty awesome to show love and support to other local shops in the area. Overall a great experience and can't wait to make this a regular stop during my trips to Seattle. Make sure to check out the $1 bins!

Dishonest and unethical experience…read more I sold some items to Clarence, the owner of The Lily Pad and Memory Lane Toys & Collections, through Facebook Marketplace. It was clear from the beginning that he intended to resell the item in his store. After receiving it, he stopped responding and was refunded by Facebook. Leaving me without the item or any payment. I made several attempts to resolve the issue directly, but was completely ignored. This behavior is deceptive and highly unprofessional. They have so much more than just comic books. They have lots of board games. There's a huge collection of posters and figurines. The comic books are separated in sections by genre. There are also many types of playing cards, pins and collectibles as well. One of the unique items at this store was they had the scripts of many popular movies and TV shoes. I saw the script of pilot episode of GOT, TBBT, Friends and among movies there was Batman, Harry Porter, LOTR, Hunger Games, Twin Peaks and hundreds of more of them. I found a Marvel poster that I liked a lot. It was reasonably priced for $15. Checkout process was quick with assistance from very friendly staff. If you are comic fan, this is an absolutely must visit place for anyone visiting the Pike Place market.

They have all sorts of collectibles, you name it, and if it's popular, it's probably here. Comics/manga, collectable buttons, stickers, magnets, Figures, Funko's, mugs, posters of movies, posters of anime, wall scrolls and tons more crammed into this little shop. What I thought was cool was the Cardboard stand ups of Star Wars characters just outside the shop. That is something I don't see often and was kind hoping someone would buy one so that I can ask them how they planned to carry it out without it being damaged. That all said there are snags about Golden Age Collectables. A collectable shop to me is usually in sort of a lower traffic area, or a mall at most. Golden Age here is in a very high traffic area, It's Pike Place after all - a tourist destination, and the store is not particularly big, neither are the aisles. It was hard to stop and look at look at anything without being in someone's way. So, the browsing experience was not great here. My friend got major icks when someone was trying to pass her in a crowded aisle... and was let's just say was a bit inappropriate about it. As a result, she wanted to wait outside for the remainder of the visit. I was not far behind due to how cramped it is. I'd say if you have in mind something you want here, check it out, but if you don't do well in tight spaces and lots of people, exercise discretion.
