Wonderful service, creative custom design, delicious cake. 10/10 recommend! I will definitely be ordering from here again because they provided such thoughtful and detailed service. I had a great experience and the cake tasted lovely -- even better the next day!
Update: She did it again-TWICE! Since we loved her so much and her cake from my grandson's very first birthday party was a success as well as beautiful, we ordered another cake from my grandson's second birthday. Again, super excited about what we received. Was spot on with what we had in mind. I also love to celebrate and support small business owners. So, with my niece's baby shower coming up, I volunteered to pay for the cake and I hired Michelle again. Another success. I had guests approaching me asking about who the baker was. I would love to see this bright young lady succeed in her business. She's very talented and she has great customer service!
We absolutely loved our wedding cake from MeechyCakes. We are planning on getting another from her on our one year anniversary! Our tasting was great, and was delivered on time (and advised people helping us the day of to keep it inside longer so it wouldn't melt on our very hot day). It looked exactly as we thought it would and it was delicious. Thank you again!
Michelle always delivers the best themed cakes for my son's birthday for 3 yrs in a row! The cookies are so yummy too! I highly recommend Michelle if your looking for quality customized cakes and cookie needs! Her prices are reasonable!
I'm giving her 3 stars only cause the cake was delicious! The cake was not decorated the way I wanted it just looks like she wrapped the leaves around the cake. We had to remove all of the leave and fix flowers before guests arrived. I literally was like my cake is ugly! I ordered my cake in February and two weeks after ordering I tried to cancel cause our wedding plans had changed and we were cutting back due to our IVF journey not going the way we had hoped. I called Michelle and explained this but she refused to give me any of the money back and told me LIFE HAPPENS & she had already used my money that was for my cake not anyone else's. Wow! She was the only vendor who refused to give me my money back. She was rude and does not have good customer service!!! I ended up going with her only cause I couldn't afford to lose my deposit but I will never buy another cake from her again!
Michelle delivers again for my son's 4th birthday! This paw patrol cake is intricate and phenomenally done and tasted amazing .
Adding pictures of our past orders because the flavors & styling never disappoint! Meechy dishes out delicious cakes for all of our family birthdays. Love celebrating with our favorite local cake shop.
Searching through Yelp, I came across this local bakery and requested a meeting through their instagram page. After talking with owner Michelle, she invited my family and I to meet with her in her shop to plan our order. We were looking for sweets for a halloween themed baby shower and Michelle definitely delivered. She made the planning process easy and we were even able to sample flavors with her. Michelle understood our theme and delivered a cake that was incredibly beautiful and delicious. We also got cake pops, rice crispy squares and iced pretzels with delivery and the price was extremely well priced especially for the quality. I am 1000% returning to Michelle anytime I'm craving sweets! PS don't forget to check out her IG page at 'meechycakes'
I ordered a cake with a very simple design. The colors were completely wrong, and the food coloring was not fully mixed. I could see drops of food coloring in the frosting and after a couple hours of sitting the colors actually changed even more. The top layer of color was pink-ish when I picked it up and had turned orange by the time we cut it. I've never seen something like this happen. And it's not a fondant vs buttercream issue because I always order buttercream cakes and expert bakers are able to replicate the right colors perfectly. It seems it was handpainted and that was done very poorly. The top layer was unstable and you could see where it was beginning to crack. The cake was also not perfectly round and was instead flat in several places. It also was not ready at the agreed time and when I came in she said I told her a different time. This baker is not good with detail. This is the work of an amateur baker who should be testing out cakes for free with family members. It was certainly not worth $125. I would not recommend ordering from here.
Meechys Cake was totally worth it. Michelle created a delicious cake for my daughters sweet 16. The flavors were so good and our guest loved it. Michelle's price for our cake was affordable. We also enjoyed the cake tasting before our event . I definitely recommend Meechys Cakes.
Meechy cakes was a complete waste of money and let me tell you why. The first three things I noticed upon entering was that she was unmasked and talking to another unmasked person. Sure hope she wore a mask while baking my cake. Second was that when she brought out my cake and I pointed out that the top ring was missing and also the bottom ring was supossed to be multicolored but was instead just yellow. She then tried to shift blame on to me and when I told her let me check my texts she then changed excuses as to why the cake was different. She said oh, the top ring is missing because you said you wanted a simple design(I did but it was in reference to a second cake we ended up not needing) but also because "she didn't want to cover elmo's face". So which is the reason, was it because she misread the text or because she didn't want to cover elmo's face? She put the ring on top after I told her it didn't matter if the edges of his face were covered. It was a smash cake. She begrudgingly went to go fix it. She never apologized or offered to make it right. I had to ask her. Ridiculous. Third, the colors were wrong. So let me be fair and say I wanted a certain design but to do her best with buttercream frosting instead of fondant. I expected some differences BUT why was the coloring different? It was just a terrible experience with a mediocre baker that has a unprofessional attitude. I also want to note that the cake was not even smashable. My daughter couldn't even dig into it. The fillings were two different chocolates. One was a cream and the other was betty crocker's fudge frosting. If you want a baker that has the best and fluffiest cakes, fair prices, better attention to detail and a professional attitude, I suggest you check out Magic Wok on slausen and passens. Sometimes they have cakes ready to go and will put designs on them real quick. The flavor of their cakes are actually way better. Meechys cake didn't take like anything except gross frosting and betty crocker fudge frosting(the best part honestly). Also note that in the picture of our cake, the spacing around the top isn't even. She was being lazy. Some are big, some are small and the spacing between the different colors is random.

I came to MeechyCakes for one of Michelle's cookie decorating events for kids, and it was such a fun experience! We were set up in the back of the bakery, which was clean, spacious, and had everything we needed. I brought my 5-year-old, and we had the best time decorating delicious cookies together. We even got to make our own pizza, which was such a fun bonus! Michelle is an incredible host so kind, welcoming, and knowledgeable. She generously shares her tips, recipes, and techniques, making the class enjoyable whether you're a beginner or have decorated before. By the end of the class, I felt like I'd known her for years. The cookies were delicious, the atmosphere was warm and inviting, and it was a great way to spend quality time with my daughter. We'll definitely be back, and I can't wait to try one of her cakes! read more

Dear Fellow Yelpers! For the past year Meechycakes has been come through for all of my events! Michelle, the owner of Meechy makes it a point to always listen to make my vision come to life. I am on Keto and she makes keto brownies, cupcake and cheesecakes I can eat (and I do) guilt free. Every time I go to her bakery, she provides a great place for me to be able to see what she's making and always makes me feel at home. She makes me feel like family. If you are looking for something specific she is honest and will let yoy know if she can do it and her honesty goes a long way. My family, friends and team also love her NonKeto treats and one day I hope to be able to enjoy them too. MEECHY YOU ARE THE BEST! read more

Michelle made two cakes for us over the past year - one for my son's baptism and the other for our grandmother's 90th birthday. And both were fantastic. Michelle is nice and responsive, and her cakes are beautiful and delicious. Her raspberry lemon is the best! She was even nice enough to deliver one of our cakes last minutes when things got crazy on the day of the event. Thank you Michelle! Will order again! read more

Look no further! Michelle of Meechy's Cakes is your place! She made a Pink Shimmer Fondant Cake for my mom. Inside had Raspberries and Chocolate Chunks. It was absolutely perfect, and delicious. The pictures do no justice. Compliment after compliment about the cake. Everyone who saw it, had something positive to say about it. It was perfect for pictures, and even more delicious inside. I don't even know where to begin or what say first because Michelle is seriously amazing! First off, I called and emailed to other bakeries and NONE of them were able to do tres leches. My son does not like cake unless it's tres leches or flan (is that even a cake? Lol). I got him two cakes! Yes two! One is triple chocolate and the other tres leches. When i text Michelle I had a complete different vision (1/2 sheet) and I changed my mind. I will be honest, I thought the cakes were going to be smaller so when she quoted me I felt it was a little expensive, but when I saw the cakes, I wanted to cry of how happy I was with her work. I'm definitely coming back! Thank you so so so much!!! Love everything about them. I don't even want to eat them and I am not a broncos fan haha. read more

Michelle's work is of excellence! She made our wedding cake for our wedding venue at Crystal Marquis in Whittier and of course when we were thinking about our gender reveal cake, we thought about her. Michelle decorating skills are excellent as you can see in my pictures. She was accommodating and worked with me so that I could stay within budget. The carrot cake was moist and delicious. She does not own a physical store. I recommend her with no reservations. read more

My family ordered a beautiful tier cake for my baby shower and my wife and I were beyond impressed not just by the design, but by the flavor and taste! The owner of Meechycakes was so patient with me in the design process and even FaceTime with me so that I could explain the design that I wanted for the cake, she delivered on my vision precisely! Meechycakes was the best tasting cake our family ever had!!! We had guest who don't even like sweets coming back and asking for seconds and with me being the mom to be, I definitely had a second serving! Wonderful cakes! She does any specialty cake or design you provide. Very attentive and responds quick to requests. Cakes are moist and delicious! I highly recommend ordering ahead of time to give enough time for her to prepare cakes. I ordered last minute and she did a great job customizing in such short notice. The tres leches cakes are yummy! I have ordered two birthday cakes different times and the came out so nice. My older boys loved them. read more

I ordered my daughter her 11th birthday cake from here. I told the owner I wanted a unicorn cake and that she could make it however she wanted. It was a two tier cake with one tier of chocolate with chocolate mouse and cream and one tier of vanilla with cream cheese filling. The cake came out beautifully and tasted incredible. The colors where vibrant and well chosen and the glitter was a great touch. The cake was moist and the filling were decadent. It was expensive but you definitely get what you pay for and I will be ordering again in the future! read more
