We came here for lunch while spending a weekend in Cambria after watching a protest rally as the restaurant was across the street.. it's a small what appears to be a family owned restaurant. We all thought the food was good although it took longer than expected and one of the 4 dishes had to be remade as it didn't have everything as ordered. It's always nice to find a never heard of restaurant and support what feels like family owned.

Steak Quesidillia. Fresh ingredients and shell toasted just right. Daughter picky eater but this was a hit.

Server was very attentive and kind. Food was quick and delicious. Perfect start to our day.

Enchiladas (beef & cheese) were quite good but small. Nice red sauce, refried beans and rice too. Salsa Ranchero and chips were free and excellent. Waiter was very gracious. One big issue was no itemized bill. We simply got a check for just over $38. I don't know how much I was charged for anything. He forgot my side of guacamole. Was I charged for that? I put down an AMEX and got back my signature copy which was now over $39. Was that for the cost of using a credit card? The tip options were calculated for you and started with only a 10% option, but was based on the total bill including state tax. That shouldn't be the case. Your tip is generally based on the pretax amount. . Still, nice the tax didn't begin with the 18% option and go up to 25% like a lot of Bay Area restaurants. I'd go again but ask for an itemized bill next time.

Picked up breakfast burritos and they were delicious! Not a long wait to call in an order.

Came here on vacation, and although there aren't a lot of places to eat, this is definitely one i'll be back to! Everything I ate had great flavor, and it was good portions for the price of everything. The inside, although small, is very homey, which I always find comforting when going to a new restaurant. My server was also very accommodating and made sure to not hover but also was able to make sure we were taken care of. Next time I'm in town I'll make sure to stop by!

Plate with chicken tamale and chile relleno with diced asada on top

This is the one!! Soon as I walked in and saw the yucateco hot sauces on the table and Mexican decor, I knew it would hit! They've got a lot of plate combo options to choose from. I got the chile relleno with the chicken tamale. Pro tip, ask for diced asada on top of the chile relleno. You can thank me later! The asada was a perfect topping as it was nice and crispy. It compliments the chile relleno very well. My friends got jelly and ordered some on the side for their plates as well aha ha. I generally gauge Mexican restaurants by their beans and rice, because if the basics are off, then I assume the rest to be the same. Not here! I can't stress enough how great the food is here. The ambiance is reminiscent of those hole in the wall places that are hidden treasures. Just know that you've came to the right place for Mexican food in town. To top it all off, it was inexpensive for the amount of food we got. The server is very kind and tends to you in a timely manner and frequently to make sure you have all that you need. I just wish this place was near my work so I can visit every day to try the rest of their menu. Thanks you chef at Medusa for the best Mexican meal I've had in a long time!

Medusa's definitely has potential and like most restaurants near the coast - they have lunch specials at a great deal. Had some taquitos with rice and beans. It'll meet your Mexican food cravings. Simple food.

My family and I make it out to Cambria at least once or twice a year to visit the elephant seals,…read moreand over the years one of the highlights of every trip has become stopping at Boni's. We genuinely look forward to it. Their breakfast burritos are some of our favorites anywhere. There's something about the way they cook the egg and wrap it into the tortilla that makes it different from anywhere else we've tried. It's simple, but you can tell everything is made with care. Their salsas are amazing too and always complete the meal. We've also had the al pastor tacos, and they're excellent, but if it's your first visit, don't skip the breakfast burrito. The family that runs Boni's is always welcoming, and you can tell they take pride in what they do. We're rooting for them and hope they have continued success because they absolutely deserve it. Every time we're in Cambria, they're a must-stop.

We were politely asked to leave. No fault of the restaurant whatsoever--it was just one of those surreal moments that perfectly captured the beginning of that crazy chapter in history. Fast forward six years... We randomly picked this place for dinner and, as soon as we walked in, we both looked at each other and said, "Wait... haven't we been here before?" Then it hit us. This was that restaurant. Apparently, we had unfinished business. This time, the universe finally let us eat. I ordered the Ortega burger with sweet potato fries, my wife had the patty melt with onion rings, and we took an order of linguini home for later. Every single bite was fantastic. The food was fresh, flavorful, and absolutely worth the six-year wait. The service was just as impressive. Karina was our waitress, and she was attentive, friendly, charming, and made us feel genuinely welcome. We'll definitely be back. Highly recommend this place. And if you decide to eat here, there's a very good chance you'll get your food much sooner than we did... only six years ahead of schedule.

Beautiful location, but unfortunately our experience was disappointing…read more We visit this area about four times a year, so we're very familiar with the fact that dining along the coast can be expensive. We've eaten at plenty of higher-priced restaurants in the area and don't mind paying those prices when the food, portions, service, and overall experience are worth it. Unfortunately, we didn't feel that was the case at Moonstone Beach Bar & Grill. We specifically asked to sit outside and were told by the hostess that it would be about a 15-minute wait. She told us we could be seated immediately if we sat inside, so we agreed. Almost as soon as we sat down, she proceeded to take another group outside to the patio. That didn't sit well with us considering what we had just been told. Our waitress was friendly and did a good job, and we appreciated her service. The food, however, was nothing special. The fish and chips were particularly disappointing and overpriced for the amount of food you receive. The portion honestly looked more like a child's meal than an adult entrée. The issue isn't simply that the restaurant is expensive. We regularly pay higher prices when visiting this area and have had many meals that were absolutely worth the money. The issue is value. When you're charging premium prices, the quality and portion size should reflect those prices. The location is beautiful, but based on this visit, it felt like we were paying more for the location than for the meal itself. With so many other restaurants in the area where we've happily paid similar or higher prices and left satisfied, this experience was disappointing and didn't measure up. 8/12/26

(2 ) available 4- top tables open, but a party of 6 was told 30 minute wait. They declined and left. - A person came in asking for take out only to be told they were "inundated and not taking take out orders at this time." So far this is a management issue - these ladies were giving and needed 1 more server to keep them caught up- lots of business waking out the door due to poor scheduling- what a shame. One person behind the bar and 2 dining room servers would make this successful. It's too easy. - Food came out in a timely manner. Gary's pasta - 10/10 Clam chowder - 10/10 definitely homemade. My wedge- a little pricey but 8/10 only because the dressing came out clearly of a jar and no blue cheese crumbles. (Little things make a huge difference) - Moscow Marlin drink 10/10 - Another walk out. Lots of empty glasses at the bar. Would we come back? Only with these 2 servers. ( I think we got lucky) Definitely not on a Friday and If it's this much of a mess on a Friday, I can only imagine what a Saturday would look like. Cute place with amazing clam chowder and pasta.
