Chicken souvlaki (kebabs) is well-seasoned, but has been dry twice that we've ordered
    Randy B.

Well, it's tarnished since 11/2024. What was a 5 star perfect experience, has diminished so much so that my gf doesn't want to go anymore. I still have hope it will return to glory. I've been 6 or so times, and nothing has been the same. Abdul, the owner, is delightful. He is the same great guy. But... * The are often out of the beautiful Chicken Shawarma, you have to get to Med Spice early. * The beef Shawarma is just not as good, and gristly * Chicken souvlaki (kebabs) is well-seasoned, but has been dry twice Overall, the rating deserves a 3.5 star, but I just got have to give them the benefit of the doubt.

One of THE BEST mediterranean restaurants I've ever eaten at. We stumbled upon this place while looking for a casual dinner in downtown Paso Robles. Most of the restaurants have extremely long wait times and are more steak and wine bar vibes than what we were looking for. This was meant to be. We walked in and beat the dinner rush. For starters, french fries (because my husband orders them everywhere), mozzarella sticks (not mediterranean, just comfort food. LOL), and a greek salad to share. For entrees, chicken shawarma platter, mixed grill platter (lamb, beef, chicken kebabs), and kofta kebab - the platters are jam packed with flavors, comes with rice, pita, hummus, roasted veggies, and cucumber/tomato salad. Their food here is really really good. Great bang for your buck as well. One of the more affordable options in Paso Robles. Another highlight is their self serve condiment bar - onions with sumac, pickled turnip, garlic sauce, spicy garlic sauce, pickles, and tahini. Self serve GARLIC SAUCE? No place has ever been that generous with garlic sauce AND pickled turnip. Lol. Great service. Huge dining room. We all enjoyed our meal. Highly recommend this place.

This place is bright, clean, with plenty of seating. You walk up to order. Get a number, sit down, then wait for your food. When I came it was lunchtime and from ordering to getting my food it took 25 min. The staff was nice but that day seemed overwhelmed. They have a condiment bar. The garlic sauce is quite yummy and LOVE the pickled turnips! I got the gyro which was very tasty. I will return but not when I only have a 30 minute lunch break. It is worth going!

Food was great. I had the grilled veggie salad and added gyro meat and a side of tzatziki. The order taker didn't tell me that it already came with a side of tzatziki so I ended up with two. It wasn't my favorite tzatziki because it had mint in it. The veggie salad had zucchini, onion, red pepper, feta, salad. I liked the condiment bar where you could add onions, garlic sauce, pimento sauce, etc. The restaurant is very clean. You order at the counter and they bring the food to you. There is indoor and outdoor dining. Prices are fair.

Located slightly on the outskirts of downtown Paso is this great Greek influenced Mediterranean restaurant. The food is as pictured - fresh, vibrant, made to order. We were the only patrons so it was nice to have the space to ourselves. There was nothing short of flavor as we demolished our plates - every single one of us!! What I appreciated was a self service bar for garlic paste, onions / parsley, pickles, and other compliments for our dishes. Water was readily available, also at the self service station. This is a place to keep in mind when many places in the area require advance reservations or close early-ish.

This "space" has had quite a few lives, none of which lived very long. I had to venture in to see for myself who and what we have here today. Just a block away from the action and walk in traffic, they're going to need some great food, and great service to survive. Thought I'd watch the opening game of the World Series but the tv's don't have the subscription to the network airing the game. So let's see the family owned and operated business defiantly reflects the Mediterranean based on menu choices and of course with an American taste. I'm in...let's order Greek salad with a lemon dressing and a small 10" thin crust pizza with pepperoni. I ordered at the counter and the food is delivered to your table. Food was out to me in a reasonable time, about 18 minutes. The food was delivered to my table, both the salad and pizza. The pizza crust could have been pulled out of the oven a few minutes sooner, ok I'm in for crunch...the salad was of good size in a 10" bowl. Fresh and crispy romaine lettuce, plenty of tomatoes, red onion, cucumbers and some pitted olives & cubed feta cheese. The dressing was quite tasty. The pizza was good, plenty of cheese and good pepperoni coverage. I enjoyed my dinner $30 bucks is the going price these days. Would I return? ah maybe but there are other places I've yet to review so...no Thanks for listening Foodguy-martn

    Chicken Shawarma Plater

Fairly average Mediterranean food, seems like they are specializing in pizzas. Ordered the chicken shawarma platter - the bread pieces were good and very thin, chicken was ok, but the vegetables tasted old. Given how empty the place was our food came out quite slowly. Also, the tap water was murky and tasted weird.

Mediterranean food is one of my favorite foods but when I tell you the spot is official, you will want to come here. I didn't want a whole platter usually I get a full plate so I decided to try the Gyro M the bread they use for the Gyro is phenomenal. Has such great flavors and you can taste the clean fresh taste on each bite I will definitely be back to try one of their platters.

Gyro salad with a side of Spanakopita.

The food was incredibly flavorful and the spanakopita was perfectly flaky. Treat yourself to the baklava, too. It's top tier. This place serves the best Mediterranean restaurant in the county.

The food was delicious and freshly made. I had the mixed veggie mezze plate. Each item was well prepared and it was plenty of food. The items were reasonably priced as well. Location is central.

The food was great in particular the various meats we ordered. Very good value for the price and flavor was amazing.

I am no expert on Mediterranean food. But I do know that I really enjoyed my food. It was all great tasting food and it was priced reasonably. It's a walk up and order then they bring it to your table. It's a very casual restaurant. I hope it does well.

I feel the value and quality of food is better than other high end restaurants. We got some of our favorites like the delicious waygu and iberico souvlaki, hummus (that pita!), and tender grilled octopus. But we got some new dishes that were creative and unique that I'll be thinking about for days. The asparagus with green goddess dressing, radish, cilantro flowers, and sheep feta was possibly the best asparagus dish I've ever had. It was fresh and herbaceous. Plus, stunning plating! Then the pork with a black garlic tahini and pickled green strawberries which was a special. Just wow, I haven't had anything like it and it was delicious. So cool with the strawberries. The steelhead trout tartare with skin chips...again stellar. And we left room, barely, for dessert. I'm a crème brûlée enthusiast and the chocolate crème brûlée was the most memorable brûlée to date...the chocolate with urfa chili and baking spices (anise I know was one). It was decadent, creamy, and hit so many unexpected notes like a hint of spice (not hot). It was its own experience. My husband and mom and I were so impressed. The custard part was more mousse like which I loved. Let me say this, leave room for dessert. We talked about trying to come back soon for their new weekend brunch. So we'll be back, thank you!

Yes, I'm talking about Moe from the 3 stooges, Moe, the fictional cartoon character from the Simpsons who is the grumpy bartender of Moe's Tavern and now, my new favorite Moe.... The Owner and Founder of: Moe's Pizza in Paso Robles. While one of these Moe's will certainly make you laugh... The other Moe is just simpler to laugh at.... (Thanks to Bart Simpson and his prank calls) But.... The final Moe, probably my new favorite, is all about making you smile with a simple little trick... Pizza!!!! Yes, when on vacation, sitting in your hotel room and debating if going back out with 3 kids for dinner after a long day exploring the area sounds like a good idea.... Suddenly, getting Pizza sounded so much easier, and a heck of a lot cheaper. So my wife jumped on Yelp, found Moe's Pizza, placed our order online and off I went to grab us a Pie. Yeah, a little Pepperoni, a dash of pineapple and a whole handful of Parmesan cheese packets, and before we knew it, I was back in the room handing slices out, watching a little Netflix and Chillen in the comfort of our hotel room. A little Netflix & Chill action at its finest! The pizza itself was pretty tasty; Moe's definitely doesn't skimp on the pepperoni or the pineapple for that matter, and the cheese, the sauce & the crust absolutely matched the vibe that the 2 main stars of the show were puttin' down. Had I done a little more research on this place prior to heading over and if I wasn't with my wife and kids, who ALWAYS just get pepperoni and pineapple, I probably would have opted for one of their Specialty Pies that actually sound pretty good and are different than I've ever seen before.... Maybe, Next time. Yeah, Specialty Pies such as their: Mo's Special: crispy chicken, ranch, Canadian bacon, mozzarella AND actual BACON!! Tell me that doesn't sound BOMB.com Also, if you are feeling a little Pizza from the East (and I'm not talking the East Coast)... Check out their Shawarma & Gyro Pizza! Their Pizza's do come in multiple sizes so no matter the size you need.... Moe's has you covered! 16" 14" 12" 10" And if you just need a taste, they sell by the Slice! Of course they offer other goodies to complement that pie, so don't be shy! Salads, cheesy bread, mozzarella sticks, buffalo wings, pasta, and a few different desserts including Baklava just to name a few! Now..... Turn off the 3 Stooges on Tubi, stop prank calling Moe's Tavern trying to impersonate Bart Simpson and get you little buns over to Moe's Pizza in Paso Robles and order that MO's Special and report back to me ASAP!!! And in the words of my guy Notorious B.I.G who reps the East, and definitely loved him some pizza... "Mo Money....Mo Problems"

As soon as I walked in, I was mesmerized by the refrigerator row of wine/champaign bottles. The bar area is well decorated with a dark background and small lights to emulate a dark starry night. Their service was not good in our L.A.-opinionated minds. Yes, we were greeted and seated immediately upon arrival. We waited maybe 20 minutes before someone eventually came to take our order. Mind you, the whole time we were ready to order, the waitress who seated us was walking back and forth, setting up tables around us. She clearly saw that we were ready to order but didn't even offer to take our orders or get another staff who could. This is a place to come to if you are NOT in a hurry and are here to simply chill and take life SLOCAL style. The food here seems like a fusion between American and Mediterranean style. 1. Octopus Appetizer (4.5/5) Large octopus tentacles served with a combination of vegetables (broccoli, cauliflower, roasted peppers) toasted with garlic and olive oil. The vegetables and octopus were all cooked very well. The octopus was fresh and melts in your mouth. 2. Grilled Asparagus (2.5/5) Large asparagus that's seasoned lightly, but it was not cooked correctly. It had a very stringy-fibery texture. 3. Philly cheesesteak (2/5) The hoagie bread was grocery store quality at best. We were sad that it wasn't even toasted or warmed up, so ended up ditching the bread/bun and just ate the inside. The cheese was at least nicely melted. The onion and bell peppers were fresh, but the steak was "meh." Definitely not quality beef. The beef itself was also not seasoned enough, so was bland and dry. 4. Onion rings (5/5) Fried to perfection. Loved that the onions were fresh and it was easy to pull apart with each bite. The aioli sauce that its served with is plain and bland though. 5. Crab cake (4/5): Crabby patty anyone? All I tasted was fried Panko batter. Wish the patty itself had more flavor and spice. The garlic aioli sauce that came with it though was good. 6. Dr. Marquis Salad (4/5): Fresh spring mix lettuce topped with ground beef and crispy bacon, tomato, sliced avocado and tossed with their house-made olive oil, salt and pepper dressing. Overall, it was a hearty salad with plentiful flavor. It was just a bit weird to have ground beef in salad, but I guess that's what makes this salad dish unique

I saw football on the flat screen and that was the decider, Pizza. Menu was typical pizza place with sandwiches and salads, pricing was fair. We ordered two Antipasto salads and a Medium Hawaiian pizza, $2 more for a large. Ahhh...Over all it was a good choice, the service was excellent, fast, served hot and tasty. Plenty of toppings on the salad and the pie. As the salad goes it consisted of the same products that were used on the pizza, fair enough, you're economical. My money goes to those with a slight change up to a better quality product. I thought the salads could have been improved with the toppings, specifically the olives, salami, and pepperoni. The pie had plenty of toppings, good cheese coverage, and a nice thick browned crust. Had I thought to ask for a thin crust?...well. The Pizza was cooked in a "impinger" oven, I prefer good ole' fashion brick oven cooking for the more genuine crust. There's just something about that, probably in my mind of how it was back in the day. With all that said I thought the pizza sauce was quite good. Bottom line a decent pizza, at a fair price, served fresh and hot. Service was spot on, thank you ladies. Foodguy-Martin
