It is awesome. Had the tomato orzo and the original gyro. Had a bite of the wife's redneck gyro and it was amazing too.

"Usually they don't put in that much goat cheese". My panini was good but the goat cheese salad with chicken added was huge and delicious. This place would be popular if it was actually in Israel or elsewhere in a Mediterranean country. Definitely southern flair but wow, it exceeded expectations. And the ambiance is perfect. The Mediterranean Sandwich Company has the best signature pitas and wraps. My coworkers and I went during lunch rush and the shop was packed. The aromas of fresh flavors hit you in the face when you walk through the door. Although it was packed we got served our food really fast. I got the red rooster and tomato basil orzo. We were driving through and were in need of some yummy lunch. Since this place had such good reviews - we had to check it out. I saw Gabriel's review on it not being hard to eat here being vegan. I'm not 100% vegan, but try to eat at least 85%, especially when I eat out. We found parking a few streets away in a free lot. There is probably closer parking, but we aren't familiar with this area so we parked where we could. The people working were nice and helpful with suggesting what to order. I had the Falafel burger and it was good. My husband got the Moroccan chicken and he liked it too. I'm not positive if I would order the Falafel again, not because I didn't like it, but I just would like to try something else. read more

I love Mediterranean Sandwich Co! There aren't many Mediterranean restaurants where my first thought is to get a salad but the Goat and Boursin Cheese Salad is perfection. Recommended to me by a good friend the Goat and Boursin Cheese salad topped with chicken is my go-to never fail order. My second recommendation is to try the Bacon Carbonara Orzo Pasta, it's out of this world. The people who work at both locations are always nice and friendly making it always a joy to stop by. The only negative thing I can say is I am overwhelmed by the delicious menu items because I have yet to have a bite of anything that wasn't delicious on that menu. Great little spot to stop by and eat near the USS Alabama visit. It is in the historic part of town. Great service but limited seating area which is understandable. Depending on the location, you may have a different experience - the downtown location tends to be (like many places downtown) crowded and more difficult to navigate; however, the locations in town are more comfortable. Wrap was really good, very flavorful, and not to filling. One of my coworkers had the Italian job and Mediterranean cole slaw which she said was good. My other coworker had the Redneck gyro and bacon carbanra orso pasta which he said was on point. Not sure if I spelled their dishes correctly, but I was trying to eat and take notes at the same time. One of the best gyro shops I have seen with amazing variations of the gyro sandwich that will keep you coming back. Its really a gyro bar that you can make amazing combination to the great Levant inspired sandwich. I had the classic gyro that was great served with a delicious tzaziki sauce that is the secret to a great gyro. The service here is not the friendly atleast on this night. If I lived in Mobile I would frequent this place alot in the downtown club district. read more

Ok we're in Mobile came to check out the Civil War sites but it's Mardi gras so we're on hold for that part of the trip. We strolled into the Mediterranean Sandwich and orders a Gyro. Nice spot at the corner of Jackson & Dauphin Street. I had the Dixie Chicken with a side a jasmine rice. Secret ingredient to the rice is some of their wild Cole slaw. Dixie Chicken was so flavorful I just couldn't stop moaning as I was biting into it ! Great place Great food read more
