They answered the phone right away and said yes they could see us (husband and I) as soon as I. 45 mins, so off we went. They are in strip mall but so r judge, they are great! We were greeted warmly and seen immediately in their couples room. The asked where they need to be careful of (remember we were in pain), what kind of pressure we wanted, and best of all they listened and acted accordingly. The massage was 60 literal minutes. I'm honestly shocked my these five star reviews. Unfortunately I really didn't enjoy this massage and I hate saying that! The movements were so fast that it felt like a single muscle or area was getting attention for literally a second before she moved to another spot. Also, this has happened before and don't understand why some massage therapists think bones need attention. Her arm bone was grinding into my thigh bone and I know that couldn't have felt good for her either. I'm not the type to say anything so it's my own fault and I could have definitely spoken up. I've gone to this place three times and I've only been pleased with one visit. My first massage was very good but the following two felt like a waste of money. I was pleased to fine this massage provider with generous hours, good prices, and very convenient location. The salon is set up very prettily and I loved the special attention given to the decor inside the massage rooms. It is a less expensive massage spot so you will find that sound travels and that the therapist may or may not deviate from his or her routine. So far, I just went in to check it out and was pleased. I got the massage + hot rocks. I've had hot rocks before but never in this way where they use them to do the massage - that was a real treat. The therapist was kind and checked in with me often to make sure I was okay. I only wish she had asked me if I had a special concern for that day. Wow! I just had an appointment today super last minute. The place I usually hit up had no availability, and so I took a gamble to come here. I was really blown away by the skills of the masseuses here. I've been to probably most of the foot massage places around Renton by now haha, and this is easily one of my favorite. 2nd time going to Medi Spa for me! Great place and I was able to call in the morning for a same day appointment later in the afternoon. Julie was my massage therapist for both times. I need firm massages and I always leave feeling much better. I also tried the cupping add-on this time, and that really got the deep muscles. Pro tip, the cupping will leave marks due to the suction from the cups. But don't be afraid to try it! Communication is lovely. Checking what target areas are needed, and throughout the massage about how the pressure is feeling, and also how temperature is for the massages that have hot stones. We received a couples' massage Groupon for my boyfriends birthday and have been really busy and stressed. We finally called and easily booked for our appointment, which was very fast and friendly. When we entered, we were greeted by everyone and got to go to our room to promptly start. My boyfriend had Julie who also did cupping massage on him and she was able to adjust his pressure to exactly his needs as well as avoid and remember pain point areas! I had Linda and right off the bat she had perfect pressure. I have been dealing with really bad back and neck problems and see my chiropractor x2/week with cupping there too. The combo of going to my Chiro and getting a massage this week had me feeling so refreshed. Linda noticed how tight and tense my shoulders were and put extra care in relaxing the muscles and removing the knots. The only reason I took a star off is because my boyfriend said no cupping for extra but I think they might've misheard us since they still did it but it was fine at the end since he deserved a nice massage day (and we could've spoke up). First time here. I scheduled a same day 120 min appointment and my masseuse was Yoyo. Honestly, maybe the best massage I've ever had, and I'm not new to massages. She did a combo of deep tissue, ashiatsu, and hot stone with hot towels and a heated mat so I didn't get cold. I also added cupping. I like lot of pressure, and that can be hard to find. She found knots in crazy places and worked on them until they were gone. I have never woken up the next day and felt so much better. Having been a massage therapist in the past, I've had a lot of massages, from my classmates and other practitioners. I've been getting monthly massages regularly since about 1995. I've been to Medi Spa Renton twice and have had two different therapists work on me, Each gave a similar massage, managed to work on every part of my body within one hour. Time expanded ~ I've never had better massages ! The space is lovely, with calming piano music throughout, sometimes with birdsong. The space is clean and welcoming. YoYo worked on me my first appointment. I can't recall the second therapists' name (massage head), but both were excellent at finding my knots and working them out. I had hot stones on my second appointment and they were a definite plus in loosing up my tight back muscles. I was surprised to see so many men getting massages ! They are really hard to work on and shun super fru fru spas. It just goes to show that the therapists here can work on men's tight muscles successfully. I just had one of the best, if not the best, massage here. I did a 90 minute deep tissue with cupping and it was everything I desperately needed. I didn't realize how much tension I was holding in my shoulders and how many knots I had... All I knew was my lower back muscles were in excruciating pain. They constantly asked if pressure was ok. I had been using Medi Spa for massages for the past month. The location is convenient and has many parking spots. It is located next to the Fred Meyer store and gas station. I can book a last-minute appointment and usually can get in within 24 hours. The room is clean and with calming music in the background. The masseur is very professional and knows my trouble spots. I have a very tight neck and shoulders. After the massage, I felt much more relaxed and my neck can turn with more flexibility.
