Loooove this place for countless reasons, but most uniquely because 1) the ambience is melty zen;…read more2) yet we can also socialize (!!!) and, 3) the staff are wonderfully responsive. I'd come here roughly three times before deciding to host a Galentine's Day celebration, via private booking. The multiple spa spaces (steam room, clay sauna, Finnish sauna, and more) make it perfect for a large-ish gathering to have elbow room (we had 20 people) while the layout also makes it intimate enough that we felt connected. Nothing like all your friends cheering from the hot tub while you cold plunge! While the spa is always "social" so no need to whisper, I highly recommend the luxury and fun of a private booking. Aside from respectfully keeping our voices low in the locker room near treatment rooms being used by other guests, we were able to laugh and toast to our hearts' content. On that note, the staff was so accommodating with a table for the snacks we brought, a tub with ice for our drinks, and generally all the coordination that it took to pull this off. They made it as easy as possible. And on the day-of, Denise was a particularly gracious host -- welcoming us and even patiently/considerately snapping a group photo from multiple angles (at our request, to be clear - haha). I'll be back many more times -- whether solo or with friends. So grateful for this urban retreat in a very convenient location for Seattle-area city'zens.

I hardly ever leave reviews, but this one deserves one…read more I was really happy to find a spa in the city because I genuinely needed some time to de-stress, relax, and take care of myself. I was surprised they had a last-minute, same-day appointment available and was really grateful for that. I originally booked my appointment for 7:30, and within a few minutes they called asking if I could change my appointment time. I had no problem with this because it actually gave me extra time to enjoy the spa beforehand. However, the girl who booked my appointment told me the change would be better because I would have complete private access to the spa, which ended up not being accurate. I also specifically requested someone who was very experienced with deep tissue massage. When I arrived, I realized I had been booked with a different therapist and a different appointment time than what I thought was confirmed. The staff did acknowledge the mix-up and gave me a complimentary juice, which I appreciated, it was a kind gesture. Unfortunately, the massage itself is where my experience shifted. I have been receiving massages regularly for the past 15 years, and while my therapist had some good techniques and did redeem herself toward the end of the session, overall I felt the level of professionalism and presence was lacking. The first thing she shared with me was that the front desk overbooks her and doesn't give her enough time between clients. While I understand that can be frustrating, hearing internal workplace issues as a client right before trying to relax felt off-putting. During the massage, there were several moments where I felt she wasn't fully present. For the first 10 minutes, it was very obvious she was on her phone texting while massaging me with one hand. I eventually asked if she could please use both hands. Her response was that it was difficult to massage the neck with both hands, but as someone who gets massages often, I could tell the issue was that her attention was divided. Her phone was vibrating throughout the entire massage. Throughout the session, she repeatedly stepped away from the table, whether to grab oil or other things that could have been set up nearby. This kept interrupting the flow of the massage. There were many moments where she completely broke contact with my body rather than maintaining connection with her hands, which is something that is generally considered an important part of creating a grounded, professional massage experience. Toward the end, I do feel she became more present and incorporated some nice techniques, which I appreciated. However, around that same time, the front desk became extremely loud. It honestly sounded like there was a party happening outside of the treatment room, which was distracting and took away from the peaceful environment I was hoping for. Overall, the massage portion unfortunately dampened my visit. Her name is something along the lines of "May". If you want a text-free massage, I recommend going to someone else. I was also a little concerned about the cleanliness of some of the areas by the heated pool and cold plunge. I noticed hair on the steps and dirty towels left in the saunas/steam rooms. That being said, there were definitely things I did enjoy. The space itself has a cute vibe and I really appreciated the thoughtful details.. the cold towels, ice balls, tinctures, aromatherapy, and little touches throughout the bathhouse. I really enjoyed the variety of each room. Overall, I think this bathhouse has potential and there were parts of my experience that were enjoyable. I just think with more attention to communication, cleanliness, and consistency in the service, it could be a spa if recommend and return to on my next visit. Unfortunately, I won't be returning.

After looking over all the photos, I selected the "Tent Suite." I liked the day bed, in addition to the big tub. The massage itself was relaxing - don't expect a deep tissue or anything. I asked for extra firm pressure before and during the massage, but we never really quite got there. No problem, though, because I was super relaxed and almost fell asleep. I packed charcuterie supplies and sparkling wine. I maybe overpacked on the utensils, because they really did have everything else there. This is a super romantic spot and feels very fancy for a special event.

We booked it on Friday and planned for a 12:00-2:50 p.m. couples massage on Saturday. We got up on Saturday and started driving, even allowing for a 30-minute buffer time. The GPS said we would arrive at 11:30 a.m. Unfortunately, our car, which we have never had problems with before, had just died on the highway. We were 30 minutes away, and it was an hour prior to 12 when the incident occurred, so I called them and let them know what was going on. I had hoped that they would be understanding and waive the cancellation fee, which is 50% of the total price. Thinking they would be understanding and flexible enough to even rebook me another day so we could still experience this and 100% pay them, because why would we not? That's not at all what happened. Management said that the masseuses still had to get paid somehow, and even after experiencing this emergency with our car, we still had to pay the 50% cancellation fee. We will absolutely not be returning, due to this company's lack of understanding and flexibility with its customers.

I didn't even complete the booking because there were so many confusing steps in the app, but the availability shown was clearly misleading. It was disappointing and a waste of time driving there only to be turned away. Next I was served their special Harmony tea and seated at a little table with some assorted chocolates to help myself to. Karen came out to take me back for my treatment, with a restroom stop on the way. Once inside the headspa treatment room, I was taken to our space and shown a cute box to place my items including a jewelry box for my watch. I was left to dress down a bit into a top covering towel wrap and then set up on the table for my treatment, tucked in with a knee rest and soft cozy blankets. The massage was amazing (I did the $90 treatment which does not have the facial). My neck, shoulders, arms, face, head and scalp were all deeply and expertly massaged and it was so relaxing! The hair washing and conditioner treatments were great with good rinse, though the water was colder at times (perhaps because the products warranted different temps for them to do what they do) and I did get a little shampoo on my cheek. I would have loved a lavender scented eye covering for protection from water splashing. After the wash portion, I was wrapped up in a towel, I got dressed and then my hair was blow dried in the salon with some finishing spray. I would say some minor fine tunes for this place would be: to improve the toilet situation- when I sat down it creaked and groaned and I'm a pretty light bird! Perhaps the landlord or shop owner can address this in time, as it was a little disconcerting to feel like the toilet was not secure. The curtains between tables in the headspa area are a bit see through so perhaps doubling up the fabric in the areas where bodies are changing (2-4 feet from the floor). The top of the room also opens to the main salon so I could hear people talking during my treatment and I prefer quiet; perhaps a way to block the noise towards the ceiling where the wall is incomplete would be an option to consider. All in all though, I plan to go back here for more treatments including the headspa offerings!

Lisa is still amazing with her techniques and attentiveness. I've tried something new this time, CBD-massage with medium-strength CBD oil menthol flavor. Life-changing!! Loved it so much that I changed my appt from 60-min to 90-min on the spot. Renewing my 5-session package for $328 on the day. This has always been a very clean, hygienic location, and I felt safe coming into today for a prenatal massage. Lisa and I both wore masks the entire time. (Note: I've never worn a mask before for a massage and honestly was a little bit curious about how it'd feel to be face down on the massage table, but as soon as she started, I forgot all my worries!) Her prenatal set-up is great. She has a body cushion that leaves room for your belly and breasts, so nothing is uncomfortably squished. Lisa is a magician with her hands. The entire massage I was waxing poetic in my head to her because it felt soooo relaxing. Her hands are full of compassion. She really knows how to work out knots, especially in your neck/shoulders. I'll definitely continuing going to Lisa for my wellness, and I hope this woman-owned business continues to get lots of support. Lisa's massages are worth every penny!
