Wow I loved my massage so much. The lady I got was so sweet and took really good care of me. Place was warm and cozy. Dimmed lights set the vibe.The only thing I advise is to have music in the massage rooms and to have scented oils for the aroma. I did enjoy the music that I could hear from the lobby and street and restaurant(that is right across) noise. When I say right across, I mean, you enter the building entrance and to your left is the massage and to the right is an Asian restaurant. Pretty convenient if I want a snack or meal! Someone came to the front desk immediately after we arrived and once payment was taken we were promptly brought to our private room. The background music was pleasant and not distracting and the therapists were professional and targeted our areas of tension with skill. I believe appointments are via phone (since their website is down) or walk-in. For this appointment, I was able to schedule a day before, so it looks like their availability is pretty open! Most, if not all of the staff, speak Mandarin Chinese, which definitely would help them a lot if you could speak some as navigating conversations like finding a Groupon code is a bit of a puzzle. Otherwise it's fine finding different ways to understand each other and get the session going. For me, it was a couple of minutes to navigate the conversations before getting into the room. I would want to note that the people here respect the appointed time and not the total time of the session. As in, if you're scheduled for an hour between 2PM to 3PM but the session begins at 2:05PM, they're going to stop at 3PM. Whether that's their policy to stay on schedule or to respect your time in case you need to be somewhere else, it's something to be mindful of! The session itself was okay. The massage therapist will ask a couple times throughout the session if the pressure is alright and that she's fine with stopping or dropping the pressure. Personally, the "hard" pressure is fine everywhere but the areas where there's no cushion (e.g. the collarbones, spine, etc.). The hot stones aren't as hot as you think they'd be and the essential oil doesn't add much. The massage therapist was good at providing consistent strength and working around the body to make sure the whole area was covered. A so-so part of this experience was when it was 5-10 minutes before the session was over and it seemed like the massage therapist was doing whatever. As in, it didn't seem to be as thought out/planned as the previous parts (random leg/arm work) and definitely didn't have the strength and pressure as prior. It felt like filler and made the session feel like it was a 45-minute one rather than an hour. Also for the people that are using the Groupon for this, the non-Groupon price, given their price chart, is $80 ($70 with the $10 essential oils add-on). It doesn't have the Groupon value of $119. After the session, they ask if you want water and then you're welcome to tip before leaving. I don't feel rejuvenated or stress-relief in any way. It could be just be me. So yes, just an okay experience: not bad but did not have anything that wowed me. read more

The massage was prob 4 stars (only because they did not do my feet in the whole body massage). Very nice except for that part. The reason I'm leaving 3 stars (and would be fewer if not for the lovely massage) was for the customer service. First of all there is a bogus discount coupon redeemable through yelp if you check in. It's for 69.95 for full body massage, and the original price is 70. 5 cent discount. lame. The owner basically ridiculed me because I told her I had a coupon when we checked in, only then did I learn it was for .05 off. Secondly we were asked to pay (and tip) before we got our massages. I opted to give a cash tip which amounted to 15% (since I was put on the spot and felt pressured to leave a predetermined tip for a service I had not even received yet) and the owner shamed me, she literally scoffed at me and said "for two people? That's not enough this is very hard work". Omg I was ready to walk out right then but then I'd already paid and it was for my friends bday. So we stayed. And got nice massages but that was def not a good start and did not leave me feeling good vibes going into the massage. Also I specifically asked when I called if they charge extra to use a credit card and was told no but they do charge a $2 service fee. The inability to communicate in English makes navigating such conversations very difficult. But yet they were sure able to shame me well in english. I will not go back. read more

I'm gonna be honest this was a complete waste of money and time and I would never recommend this place to anybody. To start , the the two masseurs were talking to each other for like five minutes straight, could not relax at all with her chatter. wHave you ever had a massage with gloves on? This is my first time and I almost died. I felt like my skin was being ripped off my body. It was hot. I was wondering the whole time during the massage why does it feel like it's hot? Is this heating oil? No it's just the pressure from the glove against my skin. Also, none of my pressure points or tender spots were even addressed literally just felt like my skin got rubbed down , specifically the top layer of skin. It felt like they were just doing whatever , and at the end of my massage, I asked if they were wearing gloves to confirm if this is what actually was happening and they said yes for cleanliness. Never was I told that they would be wearing gloves and this was my first time ever getting a massage with gloves on. I'm sorry who does that? This was through a Groupon and I feel like it was not worth it so just to be aware they're way better massage places specifically joy spa in Kirkland. Wow. Just.. Wow! If you're looking for a place to call your forever massage place, you will find it here. No regrets. This is a place that does *DEEP* tissue massage, Chinese, Asian style massages. It will hurt, it will feel great, it will be painful at times, but that's the whole point. You will leave there feeling so relieved! I visited today and the friendly lady greeted me well, took me in, and did her magic. Like the previous review mentioned, your whole body will be touched - but it is so worth it! Their prices are reasonable. I did 1 hour for $60 and that included the massage itself, hot stones, oil etc. You may have to tell them where you want to focus on so they can go deeper - but if it's too deep/hurtful, tell them! The place is clean and they change sheets after each customer - it's sanitary. Call before you go! I've been to many massage places especially in the Renton area and this place is my new favorite! It's located inside a newer building in downtown Renton so everything is extremely clean and it still has that new place smell. I'd highly suggest making a reservation as they do get busy. They do real full-body, deep tissue massages! My room was so zen and warm. They use heated pads under the sheets which is really nice. In the past this place was ok, but after the last couple of experiences I have to give this place 1 star. Very unprofessional of taking phone calls and answering the door when someone comes in. They raised their rates, you hope that means you will get quality service. Unfortunately it is not worth the money. In a 30 minute period my massage was interrupted 6 times, I thought about cutting my 90 minute session to only a 60 minute. In the entire 90 minutes I was interrupted over 10 times. In the beginning she was apologizing, after 6th time she just stopped saying sorry. I really should have been offered a discounted rate for all the disturbances. They really need someone to answer the calls and the front door if they are going to take walk-in clients. Appointments are probably better to do, but as I read in other reviews, it doesn't mean anything, because she doesn't write down anything because she is busy massaging. So she either forgets or that's just how they do business. Now i have to find a better, and more professional establishment. read more

Love this place! It's hard for me to find a massage place I really like. This place made me realize I prefer the Asian styles of massage/ techniques.My partner and I got a couples massage. The women working were very nice and made us feel very welcomed. The room was warm, cozy and relaxing. The sheets smelled fresh and clean, there was a fresh paper over the face hole thingy, and the massage bed had a warming pad! I wasn't sure what a couples massage would be like, but we loved it! They started out getting all of our knots out. I feel like most places I go to don't try to get the knots out, but these women sure did! Elbows and all, checking the pressure along the way. Then they went through the body quadrant by quadrant. And then the hot stones and heated clothes! They felt so good. I really loved the long scalp and neck massage. They pressure was perfect.
