But most of my time was with my nurse and phlebotomist which worked out well. I hope that if I have to return that I have a better experience with the dr. All in all this is a great place. Clean. Came in dehydrated from a stomach bug and was able to get an IV and zofran. I walked out a new person. The receptionist and nurse were amazing. Didn't spend much time with the doctor but honestly the RN taking care of me was all I needed. I can't speak for what it would be like to actually need to consult a doctor there, but for something simple like getting an IV or other things that a nurse can do, I'd recommend! read more

Stopped by around 8pm on Thursday March 3 2022 to get my finger looked at and x-rayed - took a swan-dive like fall snow skiing and index finger was swollen, disfigured and discolored. Xrays negative for a fracture and diagnosed as a sprain. Was told sprain should resolve in 4-5 days. Ten days later, swelling and pain had not resolved. Made an ortho appointment and called Medco on 3/14/22 to request a disc of my xrays to take to the ortho. Showed up 3/15/22 to pick the disc up - new person at the front desk and she mentioned several times it was her first day alone. She couldn't find the disc. I waited 20 minutes for them to burn a new disc (btw, they seemed pretty chaotic at this time - nurse running around and no one was too keen on helping the new girl). The ortho didn't need to order further diagnostics... he simply looked at the images from Medco and quickly diagnosed it as a closed non-displaced fracture. When he showed me the images and the fracture, it was pretty clear and obvious. Thank goodness I saw the ortho when I did as he said two weeks in a splint is the max for this injury and now is when I must start PT. My partner has used this place a few times... most recently they misdiagnosed bacterial pink eye when it is actually viral, which means a totally different treatment protocol. Poor guy suffered for 5 days after seeing this place with no improvement until he saw another doctor who thankfully diagnosed it, prescribed the needed steroid and suddenly better within 36 hours. Pros: location, open 24 hours, the people were all very nice Cons: little/no faith in the competence of the doctors and radiologists based on my family's experience, highly disorganized, expensive. I did also see a sign they do not accept Medicare, Medicaid, Tricare... so if you are over 55/retired or military, your insurance is no good there. read more

This was our first time visiting the urgent care here in Plano. My Spouse was having a hard time getting out of the car due to major knee pain. The nurse, Brad and the RT, Diana happened to look out the window and noticed that it was taking a long time to get out of the car. So they went and got a wheelchair! How nice was that?! So they wheeled her in and got right to work taking vitals and such. The doctor, Dr Lee, came in right away, we didn't even wait 5 minutes before he came in to check on us. He has a great bedside manner, very patient and laid back. He poked and prodded her knee, while she screamed at certain areas that were particularly painful Looks like a torn meniscus, ouch! Can't do a whole lot in an urgent care center for a torn meniscus. So she was given a pain shot, so she could get through the weekend and get to an Orthopedic Surgeon on Monday... If you're feeling bad and need urgent care in the middle of the night. This place is great if you want to be seen right away, be cared for by really nice, competent nurses and doctors, come to Plano and visit the Medco ER! read more

The nurse was great but other than that...save yourself a second trip to Urgent care and go elsewhere (Allen has one that offers better care-google one that has a higher star rating). I made the mistake of going home while I waited for my X rays (4 hours). The next morning, I wanted to ask the doctor a question (who had already left since her shift was over). The doctor who was on call refused to talk to me to have my question answered. The front desk does not know which doctor is scheduled that day. I was told to call the next day and the next to see if the doctor was working there. After 2 days, I gave up. I left her a message but she did not call back. This place is not very efficient. If you're in pain right now, if you're experiencing a say, greater than or equal to an 8 level, "in-serious-distress", kind of pain; If you're hoping maybe this MEDCO 24 "urgent" (ER) care facility will provide ample, adequate, but would settle for ANY pain relief.....STOP NOW because THEY one hundred percent WON'T. Essentially here's what's happened; I've now spent my last $200 in attempt to get adequate treatment, relief, from a kidney stone, to no avail. After showing MEDCO Dr, Khan, the previous radiologist report taken on 8/7, not 4 days ago, Khan orders a 2cd IDENTICAL set of comprehensive labs, a urine screening, and... a second CT scan. He orders all the above, and then, then we're going to relieve pain. AS IN ....change in this room quick, walk on over to get you're CT scan, and then pee in cup for a urine screen and then we'll do your blood draw, once we get all that done, then, then we can administer pain meds. So we do the tests, I need relief, it's why I'm there, and they tell us what the exact same tests on 8/7 told me. He knew this going into it, what they would show, as I showed him the Radiologists report from TX Health done on 8/7 on my phone in the TX health app. He read it right there next to me, I scrolled down on the screen slowly for him because his gloves wouldn't allow him to. The tests show I have renal colic, a stone in my R kidney...a "kidney stone",which is said to be "worse that childbirth" pain, "unbearable," a2zhealthy.com writes, "...it is one of the most severe types of pain felt in the back, belly or to a side just like stabbing." This was an upsetting nightmare of a hellish experience, if I'm being kind. Prolonged over from my initial call made from home to see if they could help with pain relief, I called prior to calling a Lyft around 10:54 PM, because I didn't want to waste time and money I didn't have. I was assured they could help, and I hoped this would be my final stop of the evening, providing relief from pain would have been acceptable. I was not expecting it to be eliminated, but comfort to where I could sleep perhaps? Or just allow me to be functional and think straight Thursday while I waited until I could see my primary Friday? Nope. We will not treat pain because we really don't care. No bedside manner, maybe the one female nurse, she was empathetic, in a way someone watching people being rushed out and away without proper treatment but "she just works there" she's clearly not in charge kinda empathy. They WILL order unnecessary labs and redundant pricey scans, bill your insurance, and keep the reimbursement and hassle you out of your last $200 you scrounged up and spent in desperation on what you thought would be pain relieving medical treatment. ***They, as in the DOCTOR Kahn, will LOOK YOU IN THE FACE tell you; "He doesn't have the capability of prescribing any narcotic ((this is after administering IV morphine?)) as he DOES NOT have a DEA#." and he'll advise "You go to an ER at a hospital for any prescription other than tramadol." He sent me off with a prescription for Tramadol. I am an ultra metabolizer of tramadol and explained this and stated I needed something else. ​​If you are known to be an "ultra-rapid metabolizer" you should not use tramadol. Tramadol is also a narcotic. *****The doctor was now sitting in front of was telling me point blank that whoever the previous doctor was,, DR KHAN he lied to me. I called MEDCO immediately to address this. The front desk goes back and forth argumentatively inquiring what's my question, what about your meds, she needs to know verbatim the question to ask the Doctor specifically, because he's going to ask her! In an aggressive attempt to anticipate my question, I'm told how many and what frequency to take the meds, and I said simply, let me speak with my doctor now please. I'm told he's unavailable with a patient, I say I'll patiently and happily wait on hold. I'm there all night in a literal empty ER, other than 1 gentleman, with hypertension who was going to his primary in the AM and discharged, is suddenly SLAMMED? He's now been unavailable...when I called again at 6:29 AM to reach out. He's still busy? His shift is over at 8 AM...and if he doesn't call, then what? If I could give less than one star I would! The people were initially nice but fairly dismissive when I came in with sudden sharp stomach pains, but eventually requested to do imaging. Took over two hours, and was told a fee of $500 and given scripts. Meds did nothing- turned out per my primary doctor that the diagnosis should have taken only a brief review and no medication- and got surprise bills for an additional almost $2500! Absolutely ridiculous- there goes Christmas and any vacation for next year! Oh and all this was 7 months after the appointment, so BIG surprise at the end of the year!!! read more

Horrible experience I scheduled a covid test for the same day on Christmas Eve. I spoke with the front office staff on the phone and asked how much covid tests were with insurance. I was told its free. I asked if Amerigroup insurance was accepted and they stated it was. (I asked twice even while I was there and a nurse was getting my medical history over the phone, I stated if my insurance was accepted and she said we will jus bill the insurance"). When I got there, I was swabbed after I was swabbed I was confronted by someone else in billing I assume who stated my insurance was not accepted and that I would need to pay 250$ out of pocket. I told her I called ahead to verify pricing and no one mentioned my insurance wasn't accepted. Normally, front office staff verify the insurance uploaded and if its not accepted they notify the patient on the cost and whether the patient would like to proceed. I dont understand why I wasn't notified before the swab that my insurance was not accepted through the facility. They waited tell after my swab to tell me. Had front office staff communicated that to me ahead of time, I would have went else where that accepted my insurance or done a free test elsewhere and never even booked in the first place. The front lady who I was speaking with was rude and said I would be billed regardless even though I told her no one communicated upfront my insurance not being accepted. I let her know I was not going to accept paying 250$ & did not want the results if i was going to be charged for the test when they were the ones who didnt communicate correctly with me. I left the facility without results or speaking with the physician. She told me she would bill me regardless and didnt care if i paid or not. I am a nurse I know how medical facilities work, this was ridiculous and to make it seem like i am an inconvenience when it wasn't even my fault. Its wrong. I let her know I wanted to speak with a manager and she told me she wasn't there. I will followup on Monday to speak with a manager. Notify your patients ahead of time of upfront costs, verify if the insurance is accepted or not, and then proceed with testing. I would not recommend this facility. read more

Revised: Went in and administered a covid test due to protocols. Ok that's fine. The doctor came in and said tested positive and stressed to get vaccinated and told her to leave out of the side door. Did not check other vitals other than blood pressure, did not prescribe medication, didn't do a dang thing. Not to mention, they had to bring in 3 different apparatuses to check blood pressure because the first two were broken. We went in to see a doctor, not just to get a covid test. When they came to tell us the bill was $250, I asked them why, and the explained that they are not officially an "urgent care" and can only file with insurance as an emergency room. This clinic is an absolute scam. I came in for a uti 3 months ago and payed $250. Just today I received two bills, one for the level 3 facility charge (something only done for ER visits) which was $1500 for a 5 minute doctor visit and an additional $100 for a urine dipstick test which can be bought from walmart for $8. And another charge of $700 dollars for "management services". With my insurance the total owed was brough down to $400. Before you think of coming to this clinic know that a UTI will run you upwards of $650 dollars with minimal medical work done. Okay, no problem. However, you must leave and schedule an appointment for a COVID test before being seen. Can I not do that with you. Apparently not. Lesson for Medco ER & Urgent Care. Secondly, Emergency Rooms do COVID test onsite you do not have to make an appointment, hint the name ER. I have a lock jaw and the doctor told me it will go away, I told him I'm in pain and it's been over two weeks he doesn't exam me but tells me it's dislocated, he literally told me my jaw was locked now it's dislocated by never once looking at it and that I need to go to the ER..this place is called Medco ER... he tells me he can give me an X-ray and a CT but I will have to be transfer by an ambulance to another ER to get treated. And before that he told would need to put me to sleep for 5-6 hours to unlock my jar. I literally told him if he doesn't have the skills to unlock my jaw he should just say so. Kelly greeted me and when I explained the problem, she went to work getting me into a room. Brad, my nurse for the evening was the best. The entire time I was there, he was checking on me. BEWARE!!!!!!! I Just received a bill from a rapid Covid test my daughter had and at the time of service they told my husband that since they "can't bill our insurance" he would have to pay 250 flat fee. He brought home the paper work and it was very unprofessional/sketchy looking and looked like it was copy/pasted with values for tests she did not even have such as urinalysis. She only had a swab test for Covid and they did not even leave the car. I called about this and they said their system just "fills in" those values. That makes NO sense. I work in healthcare and this is just very fishy and seems like some kind of healthcare scam. So imagine my surprise when I get this bill today for an additional 250 dollars from this establishment. All the charges list is "new patient level 4" $508 (huh?) and then a random "provider adjustment" of $8 and then my husbands payment of $250. No listing for testing of any kind! I called the number on the bill but the center is closed. Called the establishment and they were no help. I will definitely be calling back during business hours and looking into this. SCAMMERS! Insane charges for a simple procedure and lies about an insurance claim. I visited the office on 08/24/2022 and they put sutures on my hand. They said I need to get those sutures to be removed in a week. I ask them "if are there going to be a separate insurance claim or any payment for the removal of the sutures" and they said "no". On 09/03/2022, 4:04pm I called them again on number (469) 392-4000 and asked them "if are there going to be a separate insurance claim or any payment for the removal of the sutures" and their answer was "No" again. I went to their office on the same day and they removed those sutures. After a month I received a separate bill for an office visit on 09/03/2022. They want $548.00 for the procedure that they assured me is free of charge. But it is not the end of the story. They billed me an enormous $6,284.10 for my 08/24/2022 visit. Yes, you heard it right, it is how much money they want to put sutures and do a few x-rays. I did some research and found that the fair cost for that procedure is under $600. It is just insane. The doctor was very thorough I didn't catch his name but he was of Indian decent and had nice hair he was friendly talked to me and didn't make me feel like a number. I also left my name and number at the clinic receptionist and its been over a week and you still have not called me back. Ill leave details here. Zero stars I called ahead and asked if you were in network with Molina and the receptionist said yes we can bill molina. Yeah I know you can bill any insurance of course. I went on to ask if they treated dog bites. She said no this is a clinic for humans, we only treat humans. I said yeah um I'm a human with a dog bite. Why would she think I was talking about a animal when I first asked about Molina which is of course for humans. I asked what they would do for me since I didn't need stitches because I didn't know. She said she couldn't say. After I got off the phone with her I googled it. It said seek medical help within 6hrs of dog bites , clean it, ice it, get antibiotics, and a tetanus shot if you hadn't had one in the last 5 yrs. So I talked it over with my aunt and I decided to go because she said she had been at that location before and liked it. I had major bruising, swelling, and scrapes/punctures from the teeth. I show up there are 3 people in the waiting room and nurse Sara comes up and whispers to the lady I spoke with on the phone. Then nurse Sara asks me why I'm there and I said because of a dog bite. She can only see half of me because I am standing behind the counter and she looks at my arms and hands and says where!? Very rudely. I said on my leg. She then says well are you bleeding and I said no and she said then why are you here!? She was incredibly rude. Not to mention hippa violation of asking my medical reasons of why I'm there in front of the other 3 people. She then asks what I expect them to do for me. I said I didnt know and this was my first time being bitten by a dog. I mentioned a tetanus shot, antibiotic, clean it? I don't know. She then says ill take a look when you come back. As I'm filling out papers I can hear ask about someone in the waiting room and nurse Sara says a migraine! Are you serious! She's here for a migraine! What can we do for a migraine!? When I get back in the room I feel like her and the dr think I'm being dramatic. I wasn't. I walked in no limp I rated my pain around a 3, but they were Not compassionate or sensitive. When the dr left I heard the nurse laugh and say yeah. So not sure what they said about me that was so funny. The nurse Sara asked the dr if I was ready to be discharged and he said yes after a tetanus shot. I heard all that through the curtain. She came in gave me my script for antibiotics and took me to check out. I looked through my paperwork and asked the checkout girl please don't charge me for the tetanus shot that the dr ordered. She said $250 was a flat fee!!! She went to ask the nurse about the shot and the nurse said from her distant desk to me that I didn't need the shot. That this visit wasn't viable for a shot. What? I said the Dr ordered it and she told me he didn't. I said well it says it right here under dr orders. She said let me double check. She says oh yes he did. She gets the shot and I'm standing at checkout. Like ok am I finish checking out? Do I go back to the same room? I'm not sure what to do or where I'm suppose to go. So I just go back to the room and she's coming out of it when I get there and says shell be right back. When we are finish she walks me to checkout and tries to give me a tote bag with an ice pack inside. I tell her no thanks. She asks are you sure? And I say yup don't want anything to remember this place by. I called my insurance Monday. The bite happened Saturday. My insurance said I should have only paid 30 for copay. My daughter is having fever and I called Carrollton Medco ER Urgent Care which is open 24 hours 7 days a week. The lady who talked to me said we can come. I went all the way from Irving with my daughter. The door was closed and I was calling the number which was listed on the door but no one picks up the phone. I stayed in the parking lot for almost 45 minutes and I was keep on calling. But there was no one who picked up my phone. I am extremely disappointed. There is a sign on the building that says open 24 hours 7 days a week. I can't believe this is what happened to me just few minutes back. I am definitely going to make a official complaint. This review is slightly overdue as I was at this facility almost 4 months ago. However, I wanted to take this short moment to leave a few words for my impression. I was there for acute sudden hypertension at night. I waited less than 10 minutes. They immediately started checking my blood pressure. Both Dr. Khan and Rebekah Serrato, RN were great in helping make me stay calm and feel comfortable. After staying for about 30 minutes and answering a series of questions, I was cleared to go home after my blood pressure came down to a safe level. I definitely felt that I was well taken care of. This was probably the best experience I have had going to an urgent care. I saw some of the reviews with some confusion regarding if it is an urgent care or ER. I asked the front desk and they told me that the doctor does an initial assessment and based on what the issue is can make a determination of it is for ER or Urgent Care. After going in, it was incredibly fast, I was brought into a room before even finishing my paper work. Everyone I saw was super friendly, patient, and took time to explain everything. The doctor, was also great, he was able to diagnose me pretty quick and took the time to explain everything and gave me a chance to ask any questions. They have everything down to a science, I was probably in and out in less than a half hour with barely any wait time. I am glad I came here. read more

(yes that's exactly what they said, i'm not being colorful with my language) eventually they told me it was $450 for the office visit and the test. then came right back and told me it was $750?? how does it jump up so much?? like literally nothing changed they just came back and said oops no it's actually $750 not $450 how do you mess that up? i could see like a $20 difference or something being miscommunication but $300??? you guys need to be more professional. the lady at the front today was also rude. she treated me like i was a 5 year old. i get that it's a sucky job and you guys probably get a lot of rude patients every day but i don't understand why you guys treat your patients so badly in return. no patients = no money = no job for you. not going back. read more
