The kind of thing you think about after you leave, which is exactly why we found ourselves back there four days later. The bagels themselves are perfectly chewy, beautifully blistered, and clearly made by people who take this very seriously. For a New Yorker to admit that a bagel outside of NYC is this good is not something we say lightly. If you're in New Orleans and you don't go here, you're doing it wrong. We went twice in five days and would have gone a third time if we'd had more time. Absolute must.

Flour Moon -- 5 (and I don't say that lightly)…read more Let me start with this... I didn't even come here to work. But babyyy, the vibe pulled me in and sat me down real quick. The atmosphere? 10/10. It's one of those places that just feels good. Calm, airy, aesthetically pleasing without trying too hard. Perfect for getting work done, studying, catching up with your friend, or a cute little meet-up with your boo. And it's family-friendly, which I love. Inside + outside seating, so you can really choose your mood for the day. Now let's talk about what really matters... the BAGEL. Listen... it has been YEARS since I've had a goooood bagel sandwich. Like the kind you think about later. The kind that makes you pause mid-bite. This is THAT spot. The menu isn't overwhelming, but the options?? Whew. So many bagel choices, cream cheeses, jams--because let's be real... what is a bagel without cream cheese?? I went in fully planning to get two sandwiches just to try more (greedy, I know ), but this one humbled me real quick. I got the BlueBird... and I've been eyeing it for a minute, so I already knew I had to. Turkey, jalapeño cream cheese, banana peppers, blueberry jam... Yeah. Let that sit. Sweet, savory, creamy, a little kick... it just works. I was SOLD. While I was sitting there working, I asked a couple next to me if they were regulars (because their food looked too good not to ask ). They told me they come all the time and basically get everything. That told me everything I needed to know. And honestly? I believe them. You will NOT be disappointed here. And the drink?? Oh it had a little punch to it--in the best way. Not watered down, not playing with you. One of those "okayyyy I taste it" moments. IYKYK. Overall, this was such a great experience. The food, the vibe, the energy... everything aligned. I will absolutely be back--especially when I'm on that side of the river again. Flour Moon, you did your thing.

It means so much to have found my new go-to coffee spot when I'm back in BR. The space itself is perfectly warm, clean, and welcoming. Everything is curated to make you feel like you belong. The coffee, tea, and food choices are perfect. I grabbed an espresso shot and cinnamon roll to stay and an iced matcha latte to go. The espresso was nicely dialed in, the notes were present and the barista served it wonderfully. The cinnamon roll was warmed up and freshly iced before being served. The matcha was so good, and a great choice to takeaway as a treat. The staff here really goes beyond to provide excellent service. This is my new go-to coffee spot in Baton Rouge. Thanks Coffee Joy!

Every table has outlets for devices, the space is open and well laid out with a mix of tables and comfortable couches that invite you to stay. The lighting is soft and warm, and gentle French music in the background creates a charming atmosphere. It's so comfortable it genuinely feels like a home away from home. The menu is thoughtfully curated, featuring seasonal items, genuinely fresh pastries, and excellent savory options. The equipment used to prepare both coffee and tea is top-of-the-line, and the quality shows in every cup. The olives pogača (pronounced pasha in Turkish), topped with sea salt, is truly unique--fluffy, rich, and deeply satisfying. The baklava is served warm and is remarkably soft and easy to enjoy, unlike the usually firm, layered texture you expect. There's also an impressive tea selection with real flavor, loose-leaf options, and specialty coffees, including French press with a choice of beans. Honestly, this place feels like a luxury for this town.

While they still have some…read moreof the best bagels in Baton Rouge, they have moved from their historical Lee Drive location to Highland Road. Their new location is in the small strip mall next to The Drunken Fish. This new location offers a covered patio for outdoor dining, as well as ample parking in the private lot in front of the location. They still have all of their classic sandwiches and bagel pizzas, and have even added a few new ones! The main ingredient is of course the authentic bagels. These are the best in Baton Rouge, and are made by a great local business. It's hard to beat that combination. If you want something different, they also have Reuben's and Muffulettas.

If you're wanting the change from a bagel you can also swap it for a croissant (which I love!) I prefer the sandwiches to the bagel pizzas, but the pizzas are nice for a change. Their coffee options are really good too! And I always get suckered into grabbing one on my way out the door. The outdoor area has some cute patio furniture as well as tables, and the inside is very spacious while still having a good bit of seating.

We ordered "The Soho" which is a chicken caesar sandwich and "The Met" Spicy Turkey sandwich. Both were very good and come with a ton of bagel chips and some dip. My only gripe is I wish they could put a little more meat on the sandwiches. I'm left feeling good and not too heavy after eating however for as thick as the bagels are I feel there could be a tiny bit more protein. Will be back for future lunches.

Since I was also a member of their rewards club I used my money balance to pay for it.....I DID NOT GET THAT CREDITED BACK TO ME.....shame we do not have another bagel shop in the area plus that place is always super busy....I guess the owners just refuse to provide a full staff ...NOTE: several other people also asked for their money back and left as well right after me. I thought there was a number locally to call but I could not easily find it as I had to get back to work. Food is great, service is usually excellent, when full staffed and well it is just a shame.....
