This was not due to weather or unusual circumstances--it reflects a failure to properly manage carts and maintain a safe environment for customers. We immediately reported the incident to store management, who came outside and took photos. However, after that initial interaction, there was no follow-up from store management. When I contacted corporate, I was told the claim had been turned over to their insurance company, Broadspire, which is not a BBB Accredited Business and has a yelp rating of 1.1/5. We promptly complied with all requests, including obtaining and submitting three repair estimates within two weeks. Despite this, there was no communication for over a month. On March 18, we were told by Matilda that the claim had been reassigned, and on March 19, we contacted the new agent, Chantelle, only to be informed that the claim was denied due to a lack of video footage. This response is unacceptable as the responsibility lies with the store to maintain control of carts and ensure their parking lot is safe. Rouse's has chosen not to take accountability for what is clearly a preventable issue. The lack of follow-up, poor communication, and ultimate denial of the claim reflect a disregard for customer safety and service.

Once I arrived there, the Supervisor looked at it and said that is the way all of them are, but I buy them every year for Thanksgiving, Xmas, and New Years and I don't ever recall having to cut my own slice of ham off the bone. I was also upset that they told me to come there and when I arrived they didn't grant the promise. I will never buy another ham from the Honey Baked Ham store again. Came in for the ten pound special a while back and I was just so disappointed. The crawfish were bland, the sausage link I ordered (extra $, but still counted towards the weight?...as in if you order the ten pound special they're taking crawfish out to make the sausage, which you paid extra for, part of the ten pounds) wasn't good sausage and also bland. Like what is going on here? Hopefully I went on a bad day but it's Houma guys. There's another crawfish place every where you look. And this one won't get a second chance from me.
