We hired Paradise Home Services through The Home Depot to replace our water heater. During…read moreinstallation, the technician discovered the heating element on the brand-new unit was leaking. He attempted to fix it, said it was repaired, and then left our home. Before leaving, he also gave us written instructions on what to do if the water heater started leaking again. About 13 minutes after he left, the entire unit began leaking heavily and flooded our laundry room and garage. A technician should never leave a home with a newly installed unit that was already leaking during installation. If the unit was defective, it should have been replaced or shut off before leaving. The flooding required professional remediation and repairs. The company's insurance carrier ultimately accepted liability and paid for the damage, but the situation should never have happened in the first place. We also requested installation documentation during the claim process and had difficulty obtaining it. Very disappointing experience.

I had a horrible smell coming out of my shower drain and wanted a plumber to look into the drain…read morewith a camera, for any blockage that could have been causing the smell. I knew the smell was coming from this shower drain pipe, because when I put vinegar and baking soda into this drain, it would eliminate the smell. But over time the smell would return. Andrew came right out and seemed to be a very nice person and to take pride in his work . He felt it was from some old plumbers caulk at the top of the drain pipe. He removed it and applied a silicone seal. It took him about an hour in all. The charge for this. was a little over 300$. I really don't know what plumbers charge these days but it seemed a bit expensive to me. Over the next weeks, the smell did come back stronger. About a week ago I texted Andrew and asked what he might have seen when he looked with the camera into the trap. I asked if the trap was full of water and if there was any build up that could be seen. I did not hear back.

Before he left I asked him if he could turn the w h temp down and said he would have to go down to his truck to get a screw driver( we are in a high rise) I was surprised he would make a service call without tools.
