They told me they were sending out a top technician. They charged me $682 dollars to clean the coil and NOT fix the problem. The office suggested I get a whole new unit for about 10K. I hired a different company and they fixed the problem for $550. They advertise and led me to believe they would fix the unit. They only wanted to charge me money and didn't care to fix it. I know this because I called and sent many emails about this issue and NEVER got a proper response. The RESPONSE I got was pay $682 dollars or we will SUE YOU!!! read more

Bottom line up front - they charge $150 an hour. They came to my house to address a problem with my heater, less than a year old, which would simply stop heating for a while. The first visit was $150 and they determined a circuit card needed to be replaced on my less than 1 year old system. The circuit card was under warranty, but $150 for that visit was not. Once they got the circuit card it was another visit for $150. The issue remained unresolved and I ended up calling the contractor that did the original installation (which I should have done to begin with) who only charged $99 for their visit. read more

Had Air Designs Plumbing division do some work for me recently. I provided the parts needed to complete the work and they finished in 15 minutes. It was an easy job, however, their clean-up was unsatisfactory. They left a mess around the toilet and when I contacted the office to see if the guys could possibly stop by while they were out to clean up the mess, the office receptionist told me to 'get some paper towels and wipe it up'. Since I paid on the spot and felt the job should have included cleanup. To add icing to the cake, a week later I received a bill for the work including parts. I called the office only to get the same young lady I had spoken to on the day service was done. I explained I had received a bill for services I had already paid for and asked her to check the internal billing process to make sure I didn't owe anything more. She gave me excuses about two different systems. I told her it was a company internal problem whereby they need to either change their internal billing process or train the employees to have better communications on payments. My issue wasn't with the actual work which was fine, it was with their clean up and the office staff. read more

Just made my 9th service call ,( yes I said 9th) to Air Design because our ac is not working. We have had the compressor, contactor ( x 2) , capacitor, control board, air dryer filter can, suction unit installed, txv valve all replaced and multiple refills of refrigerant. This has all been in the last 3 months! The unit may work fine for a day or so after a " fix" but then stops working. The unit isunder 10 year warranty . We were informed labor was not covered for the 1st 4 visits. I then had to pay a few thousand dollars. This payment was to come with a 1 year labor warranty. We'll now here i sit five more visits later, I still have a broken ac unit, I have no money to call anyone because I have already paid air design to fix my unit, and I am getting BILLS in the mail for more labor! 9 REPAIR VISITS IN LESS THAN 3 MONTHS WITH AN AC UNIT THAT STILL DOESN'T WORK, THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS PAID, AND RECEIVING MORE BILLS FOR LABOR. I am a heart patient whowho cannot be w/o air, and I enjoy not being able to care for my child due to it being 100 degrees in my home. We have never had anyone in this company reach out to us other than to bill us and can't seem to get a hold of anyone who is in charge. read more

We called Air Design to fix our shower leak and handles. Jacob was the plumber, and wow, he did an awesome job. I wished Air Design would put in new showers, but now I feel better with the job he did. Then he fixed the sink in another bathroom, also great job! We had a new HVAC system installed. Everyone was very friendly and helpful from start to finish. I wanted to look at different options for our replacement. The sales rep was very helpful in explaining the difference in the models with a variety of options and help me through the decision making process. The technicians were here just a few days later and within a few hours I had a new system that is absolutely amazing. Wow I am blown away' Air design came out to do repairs on my plumbing. It was a difficult job. But the professionalism and friendliness of Sean amd Robert made the whole experience amazing. They should be commended for the work they did. In fact they went above and beyond the call of duty. I had a wood deck that had to be removed and some of the wood was rotted. Anyway they worked hard and got it done. Not only that but they put the deck back and got new wood to replace the rotten wood. At the end, the backyard look d like nothing happened. I came home from work to a humid, 83 degree home. The weather report called for a 93 degree day tomorrow and it's already 6:30pm. Air Design Systems has 24-hour service and boy did they deliver. The repairman was at my home within an hour of my phone call and had my air conditioner tuned up, repaired and blowing cold air in about 15 minutes. The repairman was knowledgeable and had a pleasant personality. I'll be sure to call on Air Design Systems in the future if the need arises. Top notch company. read more

My kitchen sink had a leaking copper hose and handle under the counter. Called for a quote. Was told $150.00 per hour plus parts. Was charged double what the parts cost. They tried to say the time started when technician was dispatched, including driving time to my house. What! It took an hour to complete the job. 10 minutes to sit in truck to calculate the bill. When I complained about the charge of $274.66, the bill was quickly reduced to the amount quoted. $150.00 plus parts. Technician was very professional. read more

Rich and his team did an AMAZING job! They came in and replaced all of our shoddy, old cast iron piping that was terribly "fixed" during the house flip. They did the job quickly, efficiently and professionally and even installed a garbage disposal for us last minute. Very happy with my experience with this company yesterday. I initially used Perdido Heating & Air, and in my opinion, was ripped off for the work that was done. So I carefully read reviews on all local companies. From the moment I called, the owner, Doug was very friendly and discussed the job with me. They replaced my toilet handle with one that was clanky and loud, and when I asked them to provide a replacement that was similar to the original one that had a quiet, smooth operation, they agreed to do that but there was some miscommunication about the scheduled appointment and they got angry. These guys have a F/T after-hours answering service, and it dispatches a plumber to contact you. They charge the same for a basic service call no matter what time of day it is, about $132 if the problem is in the first six feet (yes, buying a plumber's snake - drain auger - is therefore a good investment. We are renting and were not sure what the problem was, or we would have tried that). The plumber calls you first, asks a few diagnostic questions, arrives in uniform and quotes the price up front over the phone (it's higher if they have to go farther than 6' into the system). Ours was a personable fellow named John, who stayed and tested the system to be sure it was really fixed. It was after 5:30 PM when we had the problem. We did try calling some smaller local plumbing businesses first, but could not reach a live person, and for the one who said, "for after hours problems, please call ___ at ___(number)___," the number to which he referred us rolled to voicemail and the mailbox was full. Eventually, after John had left, we got a call from one of the other plumbers we had tried to reach, but by then the problem was long fixed. Air Design Systems is a huge company that does HVAC and so forth for businesses. I'm not really sure why they are in the residential plumbing referral business, but it was very comforting getting such a quick and effective response. Of course, since y'all have wonderful restaurant advice I came to Yelp first, but was sadly disappointed; I couldn't find reviews for almost anybody. So, if you have a favorite Pensacola plumber and you are a Yelper, please write a short review for your plumber -- he or she will thank you, and so will the rest of us! read more

I have an unusual plumbing problem and asked for a LICENSED Master plumber to be sent instead of one of their journeymen who operate under the licensed umbrella on Tuesday. I got a call Wednesday morning asking if I was home. I asked, again, if a licensed Master plumber was coming and was told no, but the one they wanted to send had experienc. I said no. I need a licensed plumber. I was told I'd be called back. When I was finally called back close to five o'clock after Waiting all day when I had places I needed to go to, it was to tell me that my job didn't rate a master plumber. Well, 18 months after they installed a $6000 system in main house the system stopped working. They came out today and charge me $120 because they only warranty their labor for one year. ADS installed a new air conditioning and heating system for us over a month ago and it wasn't until they left and I had paid for the job that I determined they never ran the condensation line out as it's supposed to be; it's still just stubbed out under the house, dripping down into the dirt. I can't get them to come back and finish the job. After many calls over the weeks, now the manager will not return my calls. If I had it to do again, I would choose a different company. read more

The company was responsive, on time, and the office employees I dealt with were courteous; however, I was billed for 1.5 hours, instead of the 1 hour that the plumber was on premises. I guess he did not think my tenant would keep up with the time, but he didn't know she is detailed oriented like that. Call and text logs were additional proof of the time on job. It over billing cost an extra $75, which would add up nicely for a company, if this practice is done consistently. I notified the office of the over billing and insisted on paying the full amount, out of principle. The office personal seemed sympathetic, but I never received an offer for price reduction that day or any contact from the company at a later date. I wouldn't say not to necessarily use this company, just make sure time on the job is recorded, and they are informed it is being recorded prior to the bill being written-up. read more

This is a super company! My home was hit by the recent storm my area had and it knocked out my air conditioning. By the time I got home from work. It was late. I called Air Designs and the dispatcher had a technician call me back. Ed walked me and a friend through things to test so we could determine exactly what was affected and to determine if they needed to come out. It ended up being a simple fix. I was so grateful Ed was willing to spend a few minutes on the phone to help us diagnose and fix the problem. I don't know of a single air conditioning company that would have done that. Shower liner was installed without proper prepitch below. The tile guy said he cannot warranty  the mud job or tile job if I choose to use that liner. An additional $ 380 will be the cost to remove and replace liner, installed with proper prepitch. They didn't tell me I had to have a tile guy so it has been an extreme hassle trying to find one and wait for estimates. It's been a couple of weeks now without a shower and no end in site: with their quote of $2000 and another $2000 from the tile guy to fix their bad job, I would like to never have called them. read more

We've been so impressed with ALL of the services we received from Air Design Systems. We first called them to take a look at our water supply, which had rust in it. We ended up needing a new hot water heater, new pipes, AND a water filter to eliminate the problem. The main water lines in the street are full of rust in our neighborhood, so this was the only solution. Air Design sent excellent employee after excellent employee to our house for each job. Very prompt. Contacted these guys on an emergency leak one evening after typical business hours as they were the only plumbing service open 24 hours. We were immediately contacted and repair was completed within the hour. Chris was extremely knowledgeable and returned two days later out of his busy schedule to repair a separate leak for us that we initially thought we were going to have to go through a major renovation, but in fact, we didn't need to with his expertise. These people are dishonest! Realtors and home owners that rent property beware! I rent. They sent an extremely rude man to my home that was here 15 minutes at the MOST! He must have thought that because I rent and the bill would go to the realtor that I would not know what he charged. So of course he could say anything! Overcharge the hell out of people! I wonder if they can be audited to find out how many people they have scammed? Well, the realtor said I was to pay the $265 bill because I clogged the sink. I called Air Design and asked what a routine sink clog that takes a few minutes to clear would cost. She said it is $125 for the first hour, one hour minimum. I then told her who I was and asked why I was over charged. She refused to speak to me about it. I said I am paying the bill so I needed to know! She would not tell me. I contacted my landlord and they did nothing about it! THEY are another story. Just kept telling me that I have to pay it. I was able to get Mike, the plumbing department manager on the phone only because I filed a complaint. He said I was charged for an hour and a half plus the use of a " machine". His words. I said no, I was here and watched the man in my kitchen. He unclogged it and left in a few minutes. He didn't want to hear it. I asked if he had GPS on the plumbers vehicle. He said yes. I said check it. He did. He said.. " Uh....no...there's no way he could have done what he said he did in such a short time. I explained the rest and asked that the bill be adjusted to the proper amount $125. I thought it was over. Landlord, Eric Gleaton Realty, still trying to collect $265. Complained again. They called Air Design, spoke to office manager, sent me an email and said, and I quote, " They plumber can't remember what he did there so the bill has been reduced to $185! What!!!! Air Design STILL refuses to charge the proper amount. This is months of stress and aggravation. How DARE THEY treat people this way! On top of this I get mail from them today, addressed to ME, the person that they refuse to speak to about an erroneous, fraudulent charge asking me to take advantage of they're wonderful service! Ha!! I should sure them for this plus pain and suffering because you can see that I am extremely upset out this. read more
