Honeybee charged just shy of $5k to install a new water heater that we provided in a different location than the existing water heater and add a recirculation pump. Work took 4 hours (including a trip to Home Depot for PEX connectors). Ended up being almost $1250 per hour for one guy. And we still had to call them back to finish the install correctly. Seems like they use the 'price per job' stance to exploit peoples unfamiliarity with how long it will take to do a job.

They sent the same man out today to look at it. He says he does not remember coming to my house (3 months ago) and did not repair anything with the faucet. Ashley, their phone rep, basically called me a liar because she had no record of them ever fixing the faucet or receiving cash, all while I am looking at the new faucet!! He explained that our previous water heater, which appeared to have been installed by a homeowner about 17 years ago, was missing several important safety features and updates. I called when I heard the plumbing making sounds when I turned on my washing machine. I called Emerald Coast Plumbing and Septic and thankfully they were able to come by to inform me of all this the very same day that I called! Not only that, they ordered all the parts, 3 super nice guys came out... and my entire system was new within an hour!! I wish I had gotten their names, but the electrical guy was so helpful to keep me from complete panic to assure me that the incoming wires are still ok and that my grounding wire on other side of house was fine.
