Honeybee charged just shy of $5k to install a new water heater that we provided in a different location than the existing water heater and add a recirculation pump. Work took 4 hours (including a trip to Home Depot for PEX connectors). Ended up being almost $1250 per hour for one guy. And we still had to call them back to finish the install correctly. Seems like they use the 'price per job' stance to exploit peoples unfamiliarity with how long it will take to do a job.

I called for them to replace it and they did in 15 min. The installer said that the metal should have been brass instead of galvanized because it easily rusts. After changing the pipe, he said it costs $190. It took him literally 15 min to change a mistake they made 3 years ago...for $190. Insane. I gave it 2 stars because the lady I called there was very nice. They declined the refund because it was out of their "labor warranty". Their excuse was galvanized passes code. So in the end, they will use the cheaper material to pass code, charge you an arm and a leg when it most certainly will break and not take any responsibility. They do it the cheap way, not the right way.
