My tankless water heater that's only about five years old was leaking. It was like a slow leak, but it was in my garage closet. I thought it could be something quickly fixed, but it turned out that the entire unit needed replacing. They were able to get out the very next day in the morning. The plumber, Austin was very nice and thorough. He was great at explaining his recommendations and the differences in the brands. He also was knowledgeable about the various warranties for the tankless water heaters as well as his service. I found him to be friendly and timely. He also provided great communication in regards to when he could obtain the recommended tankless water heater and when he would be out to install it the next day. Overall, I'm very satisfied with their service and my interaction with Austin. He was very helpful in helping me move some items. He also left the work area cleaned and disposed of the old water heater. The old water heater installation was very unorganized so he did put the pipes and everything back on the wall and left them better than they were before. It took him about two hours to install the new tankless water heater. If I have another issue, I will certainly reach out to Emerald Bay Plumbing as I feel like Austin provided good advice and seemed to Reflect a trustworthy spirit of this business. read more

I needed a water heater recirculation pump replaced. They replied promptly (within 24 hrs. for a non-emergency situation). The job was well done; however, it was quite expensive. It's easy to find retail material costs online. Given they purchase wholesale, the markup was excessive. The plumber labor rate was approaching $200 per hour. That's crazy high. Requested new dishwasher installation and said not in a hurry. Call back said plumber would be out between 11am and 3pm the next day. Michael arrived before 11am and installation was excellent. Upon hookup, Michael noticed leak from valve when water turned on. Time to replace with new 1/4 turn valve. Michael informed me of techniques as he proceeded. Work was value priced. read more

Service tech Doug called before 7 AM requesting photos of the two toilets so he could pickup the parts and have them installed when he arrived. He only changed out the two flappers which anyone could do inn5 minutes. He didn't replace the main water valves units and after he left we noticed it was bubbling and making weird noises. It took forever to refill the bowl. Today we were unable to agree on a time for another tech to come out. The service scheduler (April) was very rude and arrogant to my 77 year old wife and grandmother. She was yelling over the phone and my wife asked her to just tone it down a little. SHE SAID GET SOME OTHER COMPANY AND HUNG UP ON MY WIFE! We just do the work ourselves I guess now. read more

Very friendly on the phone when I made an appointment, showed up on time and notified me before they came. The plumber John did great work and was friendly... Also friendly with my dog which made my dogs day! LOL They are a bit pricey, but just to get something done in Destin is enough said. The company moved quickly to quote a fairly extensive job to change out plumbing in my house. Work was completed on time and the staff was friendly. A few leaks occurred which damaged some dry wall after the install. However, the owner personally emailed me and agreed to pay for damages that were a result of their work and was very professional in negotiation. I used Emerald Bay Plumbing to replace our old kitching pipes during our kitchen remodel, install our sink/disposal and fix a broken toilet. They were always on time, quick to respond to emails/phone calls and very professional. They did excellent work in my opionion too. They had to work with my A/C company in order to run the pipes under the house without interfering with the down draft tubing and did so with no issues or complaints. The only reason why I am giving four stars is because they were not going to install a Studdard vent at my sink after replacing some piping and discontinuing the old pipes. I had another contractor point it out to me but Emerald Bay said that they werent planning on installing one. I then spoke with the inspector who confirmed that I had to have one in order to pass final inspection. After I told my plumber, Emerald Bay Plumbing installed one without a problem but I just think they should have known that before inspections. Overall though, I would definitely use them again. read more
