My tankless water heater that's only about five years old was leaking. It was like a slow leak, but…read moreit was in my garage closet. I thought it could be something quickly fixed, but it turned out that the entire unit needed replacing. They were able to get out the very next day in the morning. The plumber, Austin was very nice and thorough. He was great at explaining his recommendations and the differences in the brands. He also was knowledgeable about the various warranties for the tankless water heaters as well as his service. I found him to be friendly and timely. He also provided great communication in regards to when he could obtain the recommended tankless water heater and when he would be out to install it the next day. Overall, I'm very satisfied with their service and my interaction with Austin. He was very helpful in helping me move some items. He also left the work area cleaned and disposed of the old water heater. The old water heater installation was very unorganized so he did put the pipes and everything back on the wall and left them better than they were before. It took him about two hours to install the new tankless water heater. If I have another issue, I will certainly reach out to Emerald Bay Plumbing as I feel like Austin provided good advice and seemed to Reflect a trustworthy spirit of this business.

Adding another review…read more First service request, they came out and changed my thermostat. AC still inefficient. Second service request, they came out and rerouted duct as it was done incorrectly. I still to this day have issues with the AC cooling my home during the summer time. Might I add brand new built house, AC is running constantly and has a hard time getting to even a set temp of 74. I have the electric bills to prove it. For a 2,255 square foot home a 3 ton unit is not efficient. I have 4 other neighbors that are dealing with the very same issue as I am. Modern Air sent me a Manual J that was just produced a week ago because apparently they never did a Manual J at the time of my build as a back pedal which their Manual J said my 2,255 square foot home with no external shade would be efficient with a 33,000 BTU unit. There's no way! I am working with my neighbors to subcontract Manual J calcs to show that all of our units are undersized which we will then take it further. What was submitted to the county for permit was a 3.5 ton unit. What they installed was a 3 ton unit at all 5 of our houses. I have called numerous other HVAC company's and they all confirmed the unit was undersized for the size of my house.

My tenant said when he told them the leak was still active the plumber refused to come back and look at it. Since the system was far beyond its natural life span, we decided to replace . Chris and his partner gathered the materials and, although he got the system functioning enough to provide heat, they were there in 3 days. It took a whole day, but they worked hard all day and were very thorough. I appreciated how concerned Chris was with keeping the work area tidy, and he did a great job cleaning everything up when he was done. Everything is working tiptop, and I am happy with the warranties they provided. All in all a great job!

Drew shows up on time, works with your schedule and puts in hard honest work. We had an issue with our AC and he rapidly diagnosed the issue and didn't leave until cool air was pumping again. Additionally, he is respectful, competent and explains everything going on thoroughly. At no point did he ever try to get us to spend any more money than was absolutely necessary. As long as Comfort Matters is in business I'll never go elsewhere for any heating and cooling issues.
