Mecha has become one of my favorite restaurants to visit when going to Boston . The pork belly bao buns are light and fluffy while having a delicious pork belly. The tuna and salmon roll are seasoned perfectly and take about three bites . The ramens have the perfect noodle texture and is bursting with flavor . The soy egg is always jammy and the brisket is soft and melts in your mouth. The service and drinks are top notch and the restaurant has a great energy to it. Would recommend to anyone and would go again and again !

Lunched at Mecha in Brookline, love the cool trendy dining space. Plenty of seating. Service was quick. Food was as good as I remembered- the shrimp salad and curry laksa were full of flavor and servings are fairly generous too.

Mixed feelings about my experience. I liked the atmosphere with the lighting but it was louder than I would have liked with the music and background noise. The server who took my order was nice and refilled my water often. I got my food and drink surprisingly quickly considering I was there on a busy Saturday night. I ordered the Sifu Lee cocktail and the Tonkotsu 3.0 with the recommended nori and chili oil. The Sifu Lee was a refreshing yuzu cocktail. The ramen, however, was disappointing. The pork was mostly fat, the noodles were more like spaghetti than ramen noodles in texture and thickness. The broth wasn't as rich as I would expect tonkotsu broth to be. I felt a bit rushed out as I was asked if I wanted the check before I finished my drink without being asked if I wanted anything else. However there was a line forming out the door and almost every seat was full so I can sort of understand. Overall this was not the best first impression but I'd be willing to return and try something different.

Always very delicious pho, but this time I tried the edamame as an appetizer and truly my mind was blown. I will come back here exclusively for that edamame. It had lots of delicious spices (I want to say rosemary and thyme maybe?) but was genuinely incredible. Service was good, but it is always a bit slow. We had 5 of us at one table so it was a bit cramped but I appreciated that they were able to accommodate us.

Solid food, friendly service. 4.5 stars Came here for dinner and got the smoke show cocktail: delicious and refreshing! If you like mezcal you'll love this drink. Then I got the herbed edamame: it's really complex, cooked with butter and rosemary. I've never had edamame done like this and I loved it. For dinner, I got the beef noodle: t's a lot of food and since it's served cold it was perfect for a hot summer day. Would definitely come back!

Solid Asian fusion noodle restaurant with subpar service. We got the Laos Crispy Pork, the Spicy Miso 2.0, and the Spicy Beef. The pork belly in the Laos Crispy Pork had a perfectly crunchy exterior and a succulent interior. However, all the pickled items in the dish were especially sour. Both noodle dishes had tender proteins, balanced spiciness, and were a good portion size. Unfortunately, the service was spotty as our waiter rarely came to refill our waters and forgot to give us a receipt at the end of our meal

Perfect way to warm up from the chilly winter weather! We started with some bao buns. I got the pork belly bao and it was perfectly juicy with a good crispy bite. I loved my curry laksa and my fiancé loves his ramen too! The curry laksa has a bit of a kick to it and all the toppings paired well together. The waiter was kind and fast at service and came by several times to make sure we were doing well.

I had a great experience here with some friends. The waiter gave a lot of solid suggestions. We ended up with getting a lot of apps which was half off during happy hour-- the red oil dumplings, goi tom buli, and the mushroom dumplings were super solid. I enjoyed the poutine as well. Overall surprisingly good and inexpensive for a fusion restaurant! Highly recommend!!

Loved Mecha! This was my first time here but I will certainly be coming back. We got a wide variety of foods and enjoyed all of them. The one item that sort of missed the mark for us was the gyoza - only because the consistency of it was very mushy on the inside and didn't have the most appealing texture. The rest of our food was delicious and we had no complaints! We sat at the bar and had incredible service. We used the InKind app which they had a promotion going on for!

Listen to me right now, and listen good. Not only does this place have the best mule I've ever tasted in my life, but the food is out of this world. I'm an old lady so my opinion means something more than yours. The service is "mid" as my nephew says, with the waitstaff that is. The bar staff is incredible, with a few hiccups, but hey. They're human too. I recently sat at the bar as these are the only chairs in the establishment with a back to them, and after two back surgeries, I can't sit on those darn stools anymore. I ordered a mule, then food, then asked for my check. Well Billy boo at the bar decided to turn off his ears and bring me another mule that I didn't ask for, and had the nerve to charge me for it! Luckily for him, they make those drinks so strong that I didn't mind, but he made sure to give me a refund and even a free drink on my next trip in! Oh, one thing I did remember as I'm writing this. If you're dining alone as I often do, DO NOT LEAVE YOUR STUFF UNATTENDED! My bladder is smaller than a grain of rice and I had to use the restroom during my meal. Came back and my entire placemat was cleaned up. Food gone, drink gone.... Honestly if the food wasn't so tasty I would never recommend this place, but they get 4 stars for the bao buns alone. Delicious.

Still great - still friendly and chaotic and chill at the same time. A high energy place but not in an obnoxious way. Happy hour M-F till 6p where the apps are Half off is also a good deal. Just love this place (the seaport location is just as good)

I really loved Mecha Noodle Bar. This was my first time trying Pho, and it did not disappoint. I ordered the Pho Ga, and it was so delicious. The chicken itself was so tender and perfectly cooked, and the broth was bursting with flavor. We also ordered the herbed edamame appetizer, and it was incredible. The restaurant itself is beautiful - the decor is stunning and unique, and it feels very chic and authentic at the same time. It created such an atmospheric dining experience and added to the already amazing meal. The service is also great - the servers were nice, and the food came out quick. I really loved Mecha Noodle Bar, and I would definitely recommend it.

It was a busy night and we got in the virtual line and were told it would be around an hour wait so we start walking around to see the little shops. We had walked 20min and got told our table was ready. So we had to hurry back so we wouldn't lose the table. The food was good. I wish I had more time to try other items but I always get the spicy miso wherever I go. We also got the general tso's shrimp and while it was labeled as "large plate" it really was a small portion served in a large bowl and not enough for a full meal.

Located a short hop from Harvard Business School, we chose this store over the Harvard Square as it has later hours (open until 10 pm.) The shop is a bit down in the mouth; we would suggest a reset on the interior which is brightly lit but showing considerable signs of wear and tear. Our server greeted us with a bright smile and she provided superb service throughout our visit. We started with the karaage which was nicely breaded and well seasoned - ten pieces fried crispy on the outside with moist chicken inside. The star here is ramen, of course and all of the choices feature a tonkotsu base. We both ordered the Tonkotsu Toroniku Ramen - one with a shio broth and the other with shoyu. The shoyu had a shake of hondashi which gave it a more traditional taste profile. Toroniku is particulalry delectable and not easy to find. Tender slices of cheek meat sat atop perfectly al dente noodles. We included side orders of additional toroniku and aji tama. The aji tama was done to perfection - that ideal spot between soft and hard boiled yolk. We highly recommend this shop for the quality of the ramen. We marked it down only because the interior needs a face lift. Not sure if one needs a reservation as we arrived at 9 pm and were seated immediately. For those who embrace the quest for impeccablly prepared ramen we highly recommend the Itami Juzo's classic, Tampopo. If you understand Tampopo then you will grasp the significance of well crafted ramen to the Japanese soul.

We walked into a cozy, understated space that often filled up quickly, giving it a lively but still relatively calm dining atmosphere once we were seated. The room was warm and functional, with a layout that kept the focus on the food rather than the décor, and the steady hum of conversation added to the comfortable energy. The main draw here is the ramen itself, especially the broth-forward bowls like shoyu and miso variations. We ordered a few different styles and found the Yaki Shoyu and spicy miso standing out the most, with deep umami flavors and a layered richness that built as we ate. The sesame ramen was also a popular option for its nutty, aromatic profile. When everything was hitting well, the broth was the clear highlight and felt like the reason to come. The noodles were a bit more divisive depending on preference. Some bowls landed perfectly, while others felt more standard or less fresh compared to the broth, which could slightly affect the overall balance of the dish. Because of that, the experience tended to be strongest when we stuck to the core ramen offerings rather than branching out too far into appetizers or rice dishes. Service was generally friendly and efficient, but the restaurant could get busy during peak hours, which might lead to a short wait before seating. Once inside, the pacing of the meal was smooth, and the atmosphere stayed comfortable enough for a relaxed lunch or dinner, even when the dining room was full. The staff moved through the room with ease, and the food came out without much delay. Overall, Miraku Boston is a solid ramen spot in the Brookline area that does best when focusing on its strengths: rich, flavorful broth-based ramen bowls. It is not overly experimental, but when the kitchen is on point, it delivers a satisfying and comforting ramen experience worth returning for.

I didn't order the limited bowl as that's not usually my choice of flavor for ramen broths but I got to try it. It was very mild and had a nice taste but still wouldn't be my go to order. For myself, I got the spicy miso which was nice and flavorful. My friends also ordered the Takoyaki and the Zangi Fried Chicken which were both good.
