Meathead Movers should be the only movers you consider if you are moving. Service, common sense, courtesy, excellent manners & teamwork were some of the qualities of the 5 'student athletes' that showed up on time with 2 trucks on Sunday morning November 29th to move my husband & I, we are in our late 60s. I was impressed with their moving appraiser Taylor who did a splendid job of selling their services. A text comes to you the morning of your move showing pictures of the team that is moving you with first & last names. (A very safe service nowadays.) Once they arrived more awesomeness! All in masks too. Chris, the lead, discussed the contract with my husband while the other four started shrink wrapping all of the furniture. No drawers need to be emptied as it is all shrink wrapped closed. The rest of the team: Blake, Jonathan, Christian & Dylan were working hard & never stopped until all was completed. After the hour & a half drive to our new home in the mountains they were all part of such teamwork parking the two trucks that is was wonderful to observe the cohesiveness. Such precision & speed but extreme safety at all times. All of our items were placed in the home as requested. One of my glass cabinets was locked & the keys were not in the keyhole. (My husband & I were exhausted by this point, not thinking properly.) This morning I called the home office for Meathead Movers & spoke to Callie. Wow! I am impressed yet again. She handled my problem with such a friendly & understanding conversation. I had mentioned the name of the student athlete that told me where the keys would be & she suggested she would call him & have him call me, never asking me for my phone number. He called within 20 minutes to tell me exactly where the keys were. I thanked him profusely & he said no problem. One hour later I receive a call from Jack, with Meathead Movers, to make certain the key situation was resolved & listened to me go on & on about how impressed my husband & I both were with all of the service that Chris, Blake, Jonathan, Christian & Dylan provided for us. Last week my sister and I used Meathead Movers and the experience was left a lot to be desired. We moved from Bakersfield to Lake Isabella. We chose the Packing service as well as the moving service. Part of the reason we chose Meathead was because they told us that the movers would disconnect everything and reconnect it in the now house. The day before the movers are to be there the packers arrive and ask what we need packed. We showed them everything we wanted done and made sure they had everything they needed and went about packing also. After about 11/2 hours they wanted to know how long we wanted them to stay and work. We were told that they had charge us for at least 2 hours. We said we wanted the job finished. Long story short they ended up leaving after 2 hours with half the job done leaving my sister and I to do the rest. The next day the movers show up. They take a hour to figure out how much they are going to up the cost. We didn't have much choice but to accept, they didn't charge us for the hour they spent "doing math.'' They told us that once the truck was full that was it. Now we are told that they will not disconnect anything and reconnect it in the now house. This included the refrigerator a 72'' flat screen tv , the washer and dryer etc. We get the fridge disconnected and then they can't figure out how to get it out of the house. I told them how the folks we brought it in and they said it wouldn't work and REFUSED to move our refrigerator. Anyway here we are at our now house needing to buy another fridge and have a very expensive tv sitting on the floor. Would I recommend these people ? NEVER They are not good at this. read more

We used Meathead Movers for a local move in July 2025 and were extremely disappointed. The move was originally quoted at four hours, but it ended up taking over nine hours. While the crew started off strong, their energy and care quickly declined. By the time they were unloading at our new home, they were placing boxes randomly, disregarding labels or the proper rooms. It was clear they just wanted to dump everything and leave, which created extra stress for our family as we had to move many heavy boxes ourselves. The packing was equally careless--more than half of our boxes weren't labeled at all, and those that were labeled were often incorrect or vague. The most serious issue was when the crew damaged our one-year-old refrigerator beyond repair by forcing it through a doorway improperly. One of the movers even admitted it was "totaled" and advised us to file a claim for the full amount of what we originally paid ($1300). The crew took the refrigerator with them--ensuring us that we'd get our claim resolved and be fully refunded. Once the claim was filed, it took over two weeks to start hearing about any sense of resolution. We've had to chase down the operations team, who became completely unresponsive. The director of operations completely refused to return any phone calls whatsoever. After multiple emails and attempted phone calls, they finally offered us less than a third of the cost to replace the refrigerator. This entire experience has been stressful, frustrating, and unprofessional. I would never recommend Meathead Movers and am appalled by their lack of accountability, care, and customer service. read more

I needed a bed and a recliner moved from my dads nursing home to my storage unit. I called several moving companies and even tried to find independent movers. I was agast at the quotes of $500-$750! I called Meathead Movers and was so relieved to find a company willing to work with me regarding cost! They not only met me in the middle on cost but gave me a discount when I agreed to be on a all day appointment. The young man who arrived not only called to let me know they were coming 30 minutes before they arrived but they also were super nice on the phone. (Something that's not easy to find these days!) They were so pleasant to work with while I ran back and forth to open the Memory Care door for them as they carried the 2 heavy pieces to the truck. (Good manners are not always found these days either!) The young men were so nice. I'm 66yrs young and I was so very happy with their politeness. They waited for me while I ran and got the keys to my unit and then helped me make the two awkward piese fit in my unit. I couldn't have been happier with my experience. I didn't go home and collapse. I actually smiled and stopped for a coffee since the normal stress of the day ended up being so NON stressful! Thank you Meathead, you have a faithful customer now! This was my first time using a moving company. I've always just invited friends to help and then spent the rest of the week with a sore back. But when moving from Lancaster to Bakersfield, I figured we'd go with a professional moving company. We had Patrick and Jose roll up in a huge truck. They made sure to call us when they were close to our place and communicated well with us throughout the entire move. It was a struggle to get our queen size bed through a narrow hallway, but they did an amazing job. I felt like they cared more about the walls than I did. They made sure to pack the truck in a way that nothing would get damaged and even had some delicate ceramic pots in the truck that came back unscathed from the hour and a half drive. They both did a fantastic job and in such an efficient way. I was really impressed. They said they also move large safes and do small furniture moves. So I'm definitely going to be using their services again and asking specifically for Patrick and Jose. read more

Miracle Workers--arrived ten minutes early, lead Daniel Kraskey, & the Cruz brothers (B & C) emptied our Canyon Country house, including some awkwardly-shaped pieces in record time, & met us at our new home in Tehachapi & had it unloaded & placed before we could even say "wow!" Our items are not museum quality by any stretch of the imagination, but were handled with such care, professionalism, and speed that these three men deserve special commendation. Every piece arrived in original condition. Being intimately familiar with international logistics (the Seawitch always gets her passengers, crew & goods to & from ports efficiently/expertly) I really have to hand it to Daniel & the Cruz brothers for a job extremely well done! The pleasing bonus is that the cost did not anywhere approach the "Not to Exceed Price", which we really appreciate too! read more

We recently had to move our 93 yr old mother. Thank goodness it was only from the 3rd floor, to the 1st floor! But still, moving is moving, and can be traumatic for the elderly. The manager of mom's building suggested Meathead, and I'm so glad we went with them. Evey single person I dealt with was wonderful. The packers showed up on time, with masks and gloves on, and got right to work (since you pay by the hour). They were courteous, well spoken, well mannered and hard working. The same two, Ian & Jordan, were back the next day to do the actual heavy lifting and moving. What a hard working pair! They treated all mom's belongings like treasure (well, they are to her), and got all her furniture put in just the right place in her new apartment. Thanks Meathead! I hired two guys to help me move the big stuff. I was a little nervous, as it was my first time hiring movers. I knew that this company cost a few extra bucks, but I thought it would be worth it to support college students. I am so glad I did! The guys were wonderful and hard working. They were fast and friendly throughout the process and really hustled (yes, they really jog when not carrying stuff). Not only did they move all of my heavy stuff, but they were so fast that they helped me move all my small stuff, too. I was having a hard time finding enough to keep them busy. This was the best move I have ever made (and I have moved a lot!). A moving crew that we had originally paid for and scheduled to help us move cancelled on the morning that they were supposed to be there. Someone told us about Meathead Movers so we called them and they sent two strong young men named Bronson and Desmond who arrived even sooner than we had hoped. These two young men knew how to load a truck to get the most into it and at the same time protect the items you care the most about. They loaded a 20 foot truck and were finished in two hours. Not only were they strong and able but friendly and considerate. We recently used Meathead Movers when moved from a crowded apartment to our very first home. We had done all the packing ourselves. The two young men were about 15 minutes late, but they had called us to let us know. All in all, we were very satisfied. The were very friendly and professional. I can't say they jogged when not carrying items, but they certainly did not waste time. The only reason I did not give them a 5 star rating was that we indicated the back of the sofa came off, to assist with moving it out of apt. They chose to remove the front door and take it out all in one piece, and ended up slightly damaging the door jamb. But, overall, I certainly would use them again and recommend them to friends. Meathead Movers provided exceptional service for me moving from Porterville CA to Fresno CA. Booking the move was very easy and I even had to revise it 2 times. The booking was easy and painless. Moving can be very stressful but Josh's crew of 8 young men were fabulous and made the experience much easier. They arrived on time and started working right away. They loaded everything that I had asked them to and handled each item with care. When they unloaded, they were quick and efficient and very pleasant. Horrible! Do not have this company move your home. My name is Steven, I was helping my mother move her home. The workers were great, doing there job. The management was horrible. They stopped in the middle of the move and two workers said they could not move anymore. There were only 4 items in a 18ft truck. We have to be out of our house today. And there was absolutely no customer service at all. This is the worst experience I have ever have. The manager was suppose to call me to explain everything, but never called. Very very impressed professional conduct throughout the two days all the young men went above and beyond courteous polite and respectful of all of her belongings 90% of our belongings were over a hundred years old nothing was broken not one single piece! This is our second time using Meathead Movers in 18 months. They show up on time with energy, organization, and skills that make the time go fast and efficient. This time, they had the challenge of packing a POD with our worldly possessions. Michael Ashmore was the lead, with Chris Romero, and Everado Rueda. We were donating a large heavy entertainment center and a dinning room table with 6 chairs. The charity would not come into our home to pick up the items because of the covid 19 and my wife and I could not move it out side. I called Meathead. It had to be outside for pickup the next morning. A very nice lady at meatheads said that she would see what she could do. A few minutes later she called, it was scheduled for the next morning. Two well spoken, polite young men came into our home wearing masks, moved all items out within 30 minutes.
