My experience with this company was terrible. First of all, they are not a local company. They travel from another area to Bakersfield and charge you for their travel time, as well as a recovery fee. At first, the price seems reasonable, but by the end, you end up paying more than you would with other moving companies. The way they work is also very unprofessional. From the moment they start handling and maneuvering the furniture, you can tell they don't really know what they're doing. Terrible! Do not use this moving company. I am not sure they are even legit. Their company came up as a partner to U-Haul. A day before the move, I heard nothing. I finally got a hold of them, and they confirmed they would have 2 people show up for the move. The day of the move, I had to call AT the actual moving time since they did not show up at the agreed upon time. They answered and said their men were on the way. I was not confident my husband and I alone would be able to load up the items in the U-Haul we rented for transport so we turned to Precision Moving Service for assistance. With just a few days notice, they were able to provide two capable, professional movers at a very reasonable price point. Our movers met us at the pick-up point right on time and worked efficiently to carefully wrap the furniture items and secure them in the truck for us. When I arrived at my new home and the unloaders asked if I loaded the truck myself, I knew I fucked up hiring the clowns at Precision Moving. Lured in by their great reviews on Moving Help? DO NOT TRUST THEM WITH ANYTHING YOU VALUE. Less than 10 moving blankets of the 30 I supplied were used to protect the furniture in my 5BR house. As a result, not one piece of couch, sofa, dresser, dining set, appliance arrived unscathed. On moving day you can expect very nice people helping you load. They will only arrive with a dolly. They will not have tools.(probably because they don't know how to use them). Expect nice calls and texts from DeAngelo the owner making you still want their service. Even a text after asking how it went. Expect your dryer to be torn from the wall, requiring a new vent pipe for installation at your new place. Expect the water to not be shut off when they pull your washer out and holes left in your walls and corners when they attempt to move your fridge. Expect your wrench you gave them to be used as a hammer to pop the hinges from your front door. Expect your uncovered furniture to drag on the floor when they don't know how to use the furniture dolly you let them use. Expect 7 of 8 dining chairs to be damaged on arrival. Expect your loved one to sleep on the floor their first night because the mover couldn't be bothered to disassemble the bed frame properly. Expect nothing you or I could lift ourselves will ever look or function the same when you rely on Precision Moving for help. What you shouldn't expect is for DeAngelo to make it right. My move was 7/23/22 and still no resolution as of this WARNING to you all. The nice calls and texts from DeAngelo have vanished once he learned of the THOUSANDS in damage his crew caused. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY I was calling for over a week, leaving voicemails to confirm my unloading appointment. When I finally got some guy on the phone he was so scattered and unprofessional. Asked me to just text him my details and he would follow up with me. I sent my name, address, dates and even the booking confirmation number. Never heard from him again. Called him the morning of my move and he had no idea who I was. Then he gave me every excuse that he could come up with.. he's in the middle of moving so my reservation was lost, he didn't have my correct contact info so he couldn't get in touch with me (what about all my voice mails, and texts, and the fact that we spoke?) then he was telling me they're booked up 6 months in advance but then also saying all his customers are flexible so he can see if he can squeeze me in. I can't even remember the rest of the BS he was throwing at me, everything except taking any responsibility or offering an apology for screwing me over on arguably one of the most stressful days. He texted me later letting me know he was able to move some things around...... I would rather move my entire house myself than trust this guy with anything I own. 0/10 - save yourself the stress and just book with a reputable company. However, DeAngelo saved me a TON of time, money, and effort by going out of his way to ensure that his crew would take care of my local move on extremely short notice mind you (BTW, I would suggest giving advance notice for a move. I just had a unique circumstance and had no other choice than to put them on the spot, which they happily accommodated. But it's always better to give movers a fair warning ahead of time since they're running a business and won't always be able to do this type of accommodation for every person). Anyhow, I gave them a call and DeAngelo picked up immediately, listened to my issue, and offered a more than reasonable solution which he absolutely did not have to do. He was professional, friendly, and eager to help out which was awesome; honestly felt more like talking to a buddy than a business! Best price and fastest workers I've seen through moving my mom's house down here to Bakersfield. Deangelo worked with me professionally to schedule the unloading of a piano and 125+ boxes. His crew - Josh and Billy were amazing. They were on time and knew what to do with the truck even with it on a bit of an incline. I didn't have the safest work environment for them but they immediately knew what to do. Nothing was broken, everything was moved carefully and efficiently. Update: You can see the owner's response below. I've sent them a private message about the damages through Yelp which shows as being received and read. 4 days later and no response. And to be clear, they charged $75 for the truck (not $25) on top of the $99/hour. The prices were great but when you add in the damage, it would have been better to pay more for a company that was a little more careful or at least responsive about taking care of damages. I would maybe use them again if I knew the specific crew coming was a little more experienced. Hopefully the guys who came and did our move can get some more experience under their belt and find great success in the future. Hoping for nothing but the best for this company because they were genuinely nice guys. Hopefully they do respond about the damages though. read more
