I'm not making a review about kingsway mall in general. i'm making a review about a store called…read moredesigner depot because during my christmas shopping i noticed a few red flags as well as green flags. 1. i overheard certain staff members talking very rudely about other staff members. 2. i was not aware of multiple policies due to no one explaining it to me so when i went back to exchange an item i was not able to do so considering non of the employees were telling customers about them. 3. the cashier with dark hair and glasses was EXTREMELY sweet and very professional considering how young she looked. 4. i was greeted by a very sweet young man who was making sure the store was safe from homeless people due to an incident. Yes there were a few red flags but majority of my visit to this location was okay. one other thing it is very difficult to identify who is an employee due to the employees not having name tags. The staff is on top of cleaning up things and keeping the floors clean from all the mud that comes on the shoes from off the street. My only complaint is that I feel there could be a better selection of stores and options. Some of the stores though offer good pricing and good discounts. I will continue to shop here and hope that they get a better selection in the future.

The waiting lounge in this mall is very comfortable as compared to sitting in the wait rooms in any of these medical clinics. For instance, they have padded couches and plants in the open area. I might get too comfortable, I may ask them to call me in when it's my turn just outside their waiting area. Definitely a place where Seniors get their medical care done such as hearing aids, eye appointments, and lab work, etc. Public washrooms are well kept. Parking is pretty much all around the area and catered to Seniors which is nice and other stores are separate from this mall just around the area. Such as Pizza hut, Booster juice, and etc. Recommended mostly for anyone needing specific medical specialists for specific problems. The selection of items is impressive. This is a discount variety/dollar/warehouse store. They have many items you would find in a large big box store but at lower prices. They have clothes, food, home decor, tools, office supplies and more! The store is tidy and well organized. It's also fairly straightforward to figure out what each aisle contains. I found a True Religion T shirt for my toddler for $9. A 6 pack of toddler socks for $6. A 3 pack of baby socks for $1.50. My mom bought many cans of coconut milk for $1 each. I saw Starbucks coffee grounds and brand name cereals. They have some good stuff if you have the time and patience to look around. The items are new with tags. However, not all the items here are in perfect condition so you do need to make sure your item doesn't have a flaw you can't live with. You can find some pretty low priced items that would be fine condition for gifts. This is a new location that moved from another location nearby. This location is a bit hidden from the main roads compared to the previous place. They have a number of stores in our area. I will be back!

They are the largest antique store in Western Canada, and so there is a lot to see here. From vintage license plates to toys to furniture to everything in between (and then some). I like coming here just to browse and see what they have. The Old Strathcona Antique Mall is filled with different antique/vintage vendors so trying to hunt down a particular item can be hard, and might be in more than one spot. That said I've been on the hunt for vintage travel postcards from specific destinations I've visited (and there's a particular style I want). Postcards are in several different spots so when I come here I try to go through them all. I've done pretty well on my mission, but there are still some destinations I don't have. Oh no that means I have to go back to The Old Strathcona Antique Mall, probably pretty soon.

Then in May it suddenly says I picked it up when I didn't. How do they "accidently" have it say I picked up? I never received my item, but they kept the money. I tried contacting them and they put me on hold for an hour and then say they are looking into it and then disconnected me. Seems like their scam is to delay you and make you wait and wait and hope you forget about it so they can steal your money!
