I never felt out of place. We arrived to a clean site. Didn't find anything to complain about. We stayed here for 3 nights and it made life easier while exploring the city of Austin and San Antonio. Our dogs were also happy as they enjoyed the walks around the park. Too bad we missed the Halloween pet parade.

This place has serious billing and management problems…read more Not only was I double charged, but after I left the property I continued receiving invoices for months as if I were still staying there. Repeated attempts to correct the issue were either ignored or met with vague responses and no resolution. Trying to get a straight answer felt like chasing smoke. A business that cannot keep basic records of who is onsite and who has already paid should not be handling customers' credit cards. The experience left me feeling frustrated, disrespected, and concerned about how many other guests are dealing with the same mess. Until they fix their accounting practices and learn how to properly close out an account when a guest departs, I would strongly recommend staying somewhere else.

So here we go The humans booked us right outside of Austin, Tx at the Sun Outdoors Lake Travis RV park and we have to say we give this place 's from a dog perspective one of the things we loved the most were the 3 dog parks, so space for all of us regardless of personalities. Each dog park has a few big trees for shade, picnic bench for the humans to sit & bags and trash close by. While there are no jungle gyms for us to play on, we are ok with that as that gives us more room to run off the crazies. Also no water bowls @ 2 of the parks, but the largest did have a water bowl along with a doggie wash station The park had nice wide roads throughout so the humans can walk us and if there are any other dogs, each can pick a side of the road if needed! Also a nice off road walking path. RV site - nice and enough room between RVs so you don't feel on top of your neighbor. Usually a tree or two per site, picnic table, and grass at our site. Only downside, no fire pit but it was warm out so we didn't really miss it. Humans are happy tho, 50amp service, great water pressure, and sewer available at each site AND daily trash pick up RV park - nice wide roads, no low overhanging branches, gravel site but level enough and enough room for a 42' trailer + truck Took about 20-40 mins to get to downtown Austin depending on traffic. Pool and jacuzzi for the humans, along with a airstream cafe at the pool! also a gym and a clubhouse, again for humans We would definitely stay here again, everyone was nice and the park was kept in great condition #bringfido

The rangers are very nice and you feel safe at this location. There are water spigots to fill up if you need it and every campsite is equipped with a grill and/or fire pit. It costs $15 per car to camp each night. It's about 30 minutes away from Austin.

There's a gate with no fence so anyone can walk in, and the cameras are so the owner can watch his park renters not trespassers. We had to leave early for rv repairs and they are the only park in the 8 years we've been traveling that doesn't pro-rate your stay and give a refund for days not used. Not too mention calling this an RV park is a stretch.. it's more like you're parked in the owners front yard- and he watches you like it's his front yard too. We were so tightly squeezed into our spot that when we opened our awning it was laying on top of the camper beside us. Absolute nightmare of a place to stay- seriously do NOT waste your money. He says no visitors are allowed and if you have visitors you have to text or call him first- I'm sorry? What? Again he treats the "rv park" like it's his private front yard and not like you're paying hundreds of dollars to stay. Over priced!!! We moved to another park with the exact same monthly rent and we have an entire half acre to ourselves!

We stayed at the Lucky Horseshoe over the Fourth of July weekend with little notice. Stephanie, the…read moreproperty manager ensured that we would have a place to park for the long weekend and assured us it wasn't too late to make a reservation even though we did not reach out until the Tuesday Before. During our stay, the park hosted a cook out/BBQ in addition to a beautiful display of fireworks. What made Lucky Horseshoe stand out to us the most was no the location or amenities. It was the people. The residents were welcoming and while we had known several from other adventures, several took the time to introduce themselves and even bump elbows and tap shoes in greeting. The property manager, when not out on the property, was found three times in the patio she'd set up outside of her rig. She is as polite, friendly and approachable as the space she set up for herself. The park itself is carved out of a field with several young and mature cedar trees. The buildings are themed to the old west and their first two buildings have a draw to them that children will love. Other than the people, this park's best feature is the community garden which I missed taken pictures of. This is the first time I've seen something like this at an RV park and it's wonderful to see come into fruition. There is also a dog park which is great for our four legged friends. Some of the lot sizes are small and are definitely meant for smaller rigs. There are also many large and spacious sites that would well fit a full timer by not only providing a wonderful place to park, but also a generous space to set up outside living. As the park is carved out of a former field, you will want to spread diatomaceous earth on and around landing gear and jack stands, any place hoses or cables touch the ground and at the base of your stairs and wheels to ensure you don't get ants. This is definitely a community we found ourselves wanting to live in once our summer and fall travels have concluded. We even scoped out a few sites that we hope could be available in the future. The only draw back is that this park is currently cash/check only. As long as you are prepared for paper currency, you'll be all set.
