I like to recommend this RV Park it's an amazing place to live very friendly and safe for all kids and adults and elderl. Ms Berry park manager is sweet but she has to go by park rules and regulations that what keeps the park clean and safe. Going by the other reviews (latest is 2 years ago), id say that this place has changed. On a beautiful evening a deer was hit right outside the entrance. It happens. Someone else did the right thing and called the cops to put it out of its misery. When these honorable men arrived the female owner with a buzz cut lost it. The police ended the does struggle and then it all went downhill. This woman proceeded to holler at the top of her lungs all sorts of obscenities and curses at these people. Absolutely disrespectful and angering to watch. The man who I assume is either her husband or brother, silently watched in approval and glared at the policemen. That's the kind of place this seems to be. To be honest this is pretty typical of the owners. On another occasion I went to them to ask for a piece of information. It was the morning and the two were sitting on a log and had thrown a watermelon on the lawn for the deer. The whole occasion was a bit uncomfortable now that I think of it. The woman was dressed in a robe and held a dog. The man was dressed but both were staring me down as I approached them. Perhaps it was too early in the morning for them to deal with customers, but I figured since we were in the public area it would be cool. Not at all. The man straight up ignored me after I asked my question and I walked away with the converse just hanging. That's the kind of people the owners are presenting themselves as. This place is right next to a hippie dippie CBD/smoke shop and an industrial storage yard. They have semis, a bulldozer and random pieces of industrial trash just laying around. If you can deal with this, then hey, maybe this place is for you. The place right down the road, closer to pace bend park, seems like a better bet though. read more

I have seen your ads but have not been there. I'm a little confused! I'm a little old & things have changed. Is this one a live-in recreational vehicle park? How long can you stay? Do you sign a lease? Is it a pop in & stay and leave when you want? Can families move in? How large of a trailer can you have? Are pets welcome? An RV park use to be a spot to park for motor homes and travel trailers. A spot to vacation and stay & play but after 2 or 3 weeks you had to move on. A Mobile home park was the place you had to be if you wanted a place to settle down, stay & call home. An address, a parking spot and a bit of a yard. Stability with neighbors who wanted the same & stayed out their leases of 6 months or more. read more

Luke and Amanda are awful people!! They gave my husband and I 4 DAYS to move out because "I had too many plants". We had been staying at Pace Bend RV Park since Oct 2018 and were on time paying tenants! (Will post pictures of my "plant cluttered" lot, with note we received signed by Luke) They're verbally abusive to their long term tenants. If y'all love to get micromanaged, yelled and cussed at this is the place! Beware of this park until current management is out. read more

Our very own blair witch project...minus scary things happening in the woods and video cameras. Okay OKAY it was just a camping trip. We ended up at Pace Bend the night before Halloween with a group of 7 of us--we had a BLAST. The rangers and people working in the booth at the entrance were very nice and helpful. They gave clear instructions (no chopping down your own firewood, no glass containers, if you have alcohol--you are welcome to drink it, but it needs to be concealed), and pretty much gave us free reign to camp anywhere we could find! We got a sweet spot overlooking the water and some beautiful cliffs (I'm going to try to post the pic later...). Spots to park the cars and a little jaunt down a path to the site. Weather was PERFECT, campsite was perfectly adequate. Picnic table to sit on, fire pit, flat spots to put our tent village. Plenty of fallen branches to use as kindling with the firewood we brought. and GORGEOUS views of the sunrise overlooking the water. Cost is $15 per vehicle--so drop cars at a neutral location and LOAD UP into a few SUVs etc. I, Anna, am EXCITED to go camping again. This is a huge statement. My nickname is the city girl. We went camping this past weekend (early June) at Pace Bend and had a blast! Pace Bend Park is about 30 minutes west of Austin (off of I71). It is right on lake Travis. We camped at Mesquite Point, which was in the primitive camping area. The spot we were at has a long beautiful sandy beach, framed by the beautiful hill country. Most campers set up in the woods in the shade, but those spots are a walk from the beach. A lot of people camped right on the beach. We sort of put up our tent on the grass in between, about 100 feet from the water (Note to self: next time bring metal pegs so you can set up tent on the beach, dumb a*$!) There was no shade but we were close enough to the water so we didn't really care. There are hiking trails nearby and grass area for the kids to play. You can hike, swim, bring your boat, fly kites, fishing, etc. There are table, charcoal grills, and fire rings near the camp site. They are first come first served so it's a good idea to bring your own gas grill. There are bathrooms near by (1-2 minute drive to the bathroom unless you camp right next to it). Plenty of bushes and ditch for #1, well, and the lake is right there :) No water so bring water for drinking and cleaning (there's water at the improved camp sites). The best time to camp here is late Spring and early Fall. Hot enough during the day to enjoy the swim and cool enough at night so you don't need a fan. It does get very windy at times so make sure you stake your tent down - perfect for kites. Cost - $15 per car to camp overnight ($10 if you just come out for the day) This is the closest to a beach you can get living in Austin. And just 30 min from my house. So awesome! We'll be back this summer. read more

Zero complaints! If you're looking for easy camping, Pace Bend's your spot. Our particular campsite (and many others) had awesome views of Lake Travis and if the water was higher they would have been great spots for cliff jumping too. The rangers are very nice and you feel safe at this location. There are water spigots to fill up if you need it and every campsite is equipped with a grill and/or fire pit. It costs $15 per car to camp each night. It's about 30 minutes away from Austin. read more

Beautiful! No people in the morning. $10 per vehicle which is normal. Have camping, boating, fishing, etc etc. Super happy place, beautiful sitings, there are sandy.clay-y "beaches." Nice little waves. Not stinky like Barton Springs. Not super cold water. Swimmer friendly places. Very nice and will be back! read more

I did not stay in the rv park but the Sunday afternoon I spent at Pace Bend was just perfect. Not a cloud in the sky we visited several coves and swam in the deep blue water of lake Travis. Some coves are crowded so if you go, drive around and you are likely to find a quiet spot all your own. Bring a float and a picnic and you'll end up staying all day. read more

This is a beautiful place to stay! We came down for the weekend to visit family. The bathrooms and the laundry room are immaculate. Every morning you can see between 4 -24 deer, and the woods have trails you can walk on. It is close to the road but the road noise did not bother us at all. There are a number of full-timers but everyone is quiet and very neighborly. The couple that runs it are extremely friendly & it is obvious that they make sure everything is maintained well. It is definitely on our "A" list! We will be back!! read more

I've been to this park a few times and never has it disappointed. You can do anything from rock climbing, swimming in the lake, boating, mountain biking, to even cliff jumping. All of which were great experiences. Even though I've only mountain biked twice, the trail was very challenging, but yet with some determination I was able to finish and felt really good about myself hahaha. But it is a beautiful park and well maintained. I think anyone would have fun out there. read more

We reserved 4 spaces in the improved camping area. $20/per vehicle per night. The staff was EXTREMELY rude when it came to parking. They patrolled the area constantly to make sure cars (that only visited for a couple hours) were moved into the primitive spots even though the rule is 2 cars per spot. Also overflow parking isn't for cars. It is for boats and trailers only even though the sign doesn't say that. We had 8 parking spots between our 4 sites that were not full, but we couldn't use them. They kept circling and stopping and threatening us and writing citations until the cars were moved. The patrol car also drove around a million times. I've never felt more watched like a hawk. We were quiet, doing nothing. Keeping to ourselves. Our experience was anything but relaxing. We went camping to celebrate my bday and mothers day and we were not rowdy at all. We were the most quiet campsite. They needed to pay more attention to all the noise and other people that were being loud in the primitive sites. I will never be back to this campsite ever again. read more

I am calling around a couple of months in advance as I have an older (remodeled & exceptionally well-cared-for) RV & a couple pets...& am looking for a 5-6mo commitment. First, I was basically rushed off the phone 'well, you'll have to call back the 1st of Sept, we're filled up right now. Ok, so, never heard of reservations I presume...? The gentleman was actually quite short & unhelpful. Further, their website explicitly states: "We ask that you honor our 10 year policy for rigs requesting monthly or long term stays. We recognize that there are quality "classic" rigs that have been denied access to other campgrounds. Should you or your group fall into that category, we ask that you contact the campground directly so that we can discuss your needs" but when I called to 'discuss' my needs, there was no discussion at all. I was asked no questions & quickly got the feeling that he had absolutely no interest in hearing any information at all, so I just said 'ok well that won't work for me then' & hung up. Too bad for them...would have been a guaranteed $490/mo for at least 5mo & I'm a fantastic tenant. You really shouldn't be rude to people inquiring. Even if it doesn't work out, when you work with the public you SHOULD have some level of respect & tact....or don't say things like 'call us to discuss your needs' if you can't be bothered to do so. Certainly won't be recommending this place to anyone, nor will I keep it in mind in the future. read more

This Rv park has only ONE TOILET & ONE SHOWER...for the entire park! And during holiday weekends people from the Pace Bend Park that Travis County runs come down and use this ONE TOILET & ONE SHOWER! This RV park is just down the road from Pace Bend Park . So it's very annoying when your family needs to use them and cannot for 45 mins to an hour. Just wanted to put that info out there- had I known this my family wouldn't have paid to camp there. read more

We stayed at Pace Bend RV Park, Spicewood, Texas, for five weeks with no problems at all until the day before we were to leave when the assistant manager cursed my wife and told her to get "her fat ass out of his office". She was attempting to pay the final bill. We have traveled all over the Pacific Northwest, Canada, the Mid-West, and the South and have NEVER been treated like this. We have stayed in numerous RV camps from very large KOA facilities to small private camps. Again we were shocked to be treated like this. I would NEVER recommend this RV camp to my worse enemy. read more
