Not a cloud in the sky we visited several coves and swam in the deep blue water of lake Travis.

The man-made pool has spring water; this is where I would recommend families with children or inexperienced swimmers go. It's lovely and more of a managed pool setting. We hiked down the stone steps to reach the natural springs which are so beautiful with a picturesque mini waterfall and a rope swing as well! However swimming here can be treacherous. I highly recommend water shoes as there are lots of rocks and moss in the springs. Water depth also varies greatly from one spot to another so it's important to be aware of that. Water temperature was comfortable and cool - felt great on a hot summer day. Wrapped up our visit in the garden, which is so beautifully maintained. Absolutely lovely and zen. The changing room and bathroom facilities are clean and easily accessible. We left feeling dry, happy, and peaceful after a wonderful day in nature.

Love that they have rules in place that prevent loud music to allow everyone to enjoy the place. The kids loved the rope swing but must warn it is challenging getting down to the lower pool as the rocks can be very slippery! The upper pool is spring fed and very cold but clean and leads to an awesome waterfall emptying into the lower pool. We also enjoyed walking through the botanical garden and listening to the many wind chimes throughout. Definitely hope to visit again in the future!

Loved camping here, but I am very sad that the water level has been too low for years to cliff…read morejump. I remember when Pace Bend used to be THE cliff jumping spot. I couldn't even get a campsite reservation because it was so popular a few years ago. It is truly past its prime now, and not just with the lack of cliff jumping. The campsites seem to be at about 50% capacity. We drove past so many camping areas that were closed. They're not using their usual online reservation system, and instead you have to reserve by emailing them and requesting specific sites. This is very inefficient as I saw quite a few vacant sites in person that were supposedly taken according to the website. We stayed at Kate's and Johnson campground, which is a primitive car camping site with pit toilets. There were no sinks, but there was hand sanitizer, and the bathrooms were quite clean for pit toilets. The campsites each had a grill and fire pit, but there was a burn ban so we couldn't have a ground fire. There was also a picnic table at each site. They limit each site to two cars, and they told me I couldn't park elsewhere in the park or pay for just the parking for an additional car. I would have had to pay for another site just to add one car. There's a lot of land in this park and not a lot of people with plenty of empty campsites even on a weekend, so I thought this was a little unreasonable. We went hiking on the blue trail per the recommendation of the lady at the lady who checked us in at the entrance. She told us it has the best views of the park. We certainly reached the highest point of the park, but there were no views. It was all rocks and trees. The trails are all pretty short. We went up the blue trail and down the yellow from the southeast trailhead, and it was a total of 3.6 miles. I liked the hike for a bit of exercise, but there wasn't really anything to see, so we felt deceived. My friend went swimming in the lake, and he seemed to enjoy it except for the sharp rocks at the bottom. I didn't go swimming, but I'm sure it would be enjoyable on a hot day.

Only flaw was the cacti. Other than that, I enjoyed the camp ground. Keep in mind that each rented…read morecamp only has 2 parking spots, so if you have more cars, you'd have to rent another camp site.

The electricity here in the summer in a fifth wheel from my experience and from others experience here is 225$ and up per month. Which is nearly half or more of the rent of the actual site. A lot of insects, scorpions, spiders all over the outside of the laundry house and around the RVs. Red ants are everywhere. Had to close all of my tanks or roaches would come up through the drains inside of the RV even though I have a clean rig. Wild hogs are around and go through this area often as well, you can hear them, and they roam through the park at night when they pass through the area. The water system is separate on the back sites by the laundry vs the rest of the park. Some of the maintenance i know in the park has been done by unlicensed and unprofessional individuals. Causing toxic very strong smelling water to run through the rigs and water lines of the rigs. There is nothing in the park other than lots and a small laundry/bath house. Being that they also charge so much for electric, along with the rest of the issues, I would highly suggest and recommend choosing another park.

Maintenance man was very nice but could not fix the issue. A box fan was offered and accepted but even with a fan, the bedroom remained in the low 80,s during the day and much of the night. We should not have to sleep with a box fan to TRY cooling off!! There was minimal to zero hot water in the kitchen. The air conditioning unit that was in the kitchen was dripping some green liquid on the kitchen table. We were good sports about the issues a made due to just try and avoid negativity while we were on a much need vacation. Management was aware of the issues, so we figured we could just come to some sort of a resolution once the stay was complete. I've reached out 2 times for a resolution, asking for a fair partial refund for the stay due to the issues and what was offered, was not what was provided. It's now been 2 weeks and I've yet to get a response from that request. I did get an email saying they would offer another stay at a discounted rate. How about we make the 1st stay right and we can definitely talk about giving yall another shot!! I do have the email tree and photos of the green dripping AC should anyone need to see the proof of me trying to be civil and reaching out for assistance in this matter. I do not think my request was outlandish or over the top.
