Pretty ok rv park in Johnson city.. stayed a weekend here, booked the cheaper option, which includes full hook ups but no shade, spaces are within 10 feet of each other, so if you have multiple slide outs it's tight! overall clean but nothing that makes it stand out unfortunately. Would have liked to see more pictures during the checkout process of what to expect. Priced at 50 dollars a night is pretty average as well. If staying longer than a night or two I do recommend getting the premium spots that are shaded and closer to bathrooms if needed. Also don't forget to take your water pressure regulator! read more

This is a nice place for the essentials. We have stayed at this park twice now, for a total of about ten days. Both visits were very pleasant. Everything was clean and quiet. They have restrooms and showers if needed, and also have a laundry room. Staff have been very warm and friendly--Mark and Danielle are awesome! Located in the middle of Johnson city offers the option of walking to the store next door for any needed items you may have forgotten at home. It is also centrally located for interests like Austin, San Antonio, Fredericksburg, and other locations throughout Central Texas. I am sure we will be back again. read more

Road Runner RV Park, is an excellent location for visiting LBJ State and National Park and Sauer Beckman living history Park, as well as the wine trail. The park itself is clean, and well maintained. Management/Staff very friendly and helpful. The free Wi-Fi is really satisfactory for email, but I did upgrade to premium to allow for viewing of premium channels, at a cost of $5.00 a day. Within walking distance, you will find a Lowes Super Market/Ace Hardware, Dollar General, Subway, Medical Clinic, and a Phillips 66 gas station that also has EV charging stations. Across the highway is an excellent Mexican restaurant, Propane store and the Johnson City Law Enforcement Station. Really a great place to stay and given all nearby facilities and access to Johnson City and nearby attractions, I don't believe you can find a better location in this area. read more

We typically park our camper and spend the majority of our time out and about. The sites are nearly all gravel with 2 narrow strips of concrete which weren't quite level. No grass, and sites are narrow, putting you very close to neighbors. Staff was polite, helpful and courteous. We would stay again! Wish we had known about their discounts to their "other parks" before booking our next nights' stays! read more

Nice clean quiet park. Some trees for shade, BBQ grills and tables around park. Has one washer and dryer both were clean. Only complaint is that they had no quarters for laundry. Stores and restaurants right next door also a health clinic. Would definitely stay again. read more

This is a gem of an RV Park right off of Hwy 281. It is convenient to many places in the Hill Country of Texas. Within a 35 mile radius you can visit many wineries, Blanco, Fredericksburg, Wimberly and the LBJ Historical Park. The owner was extremely friendly and accommodating. Sites are rather close but it worked. There's a workout area, pool table. clubhouse and book exchange. We had intended to only stay a few nights but ended up staying 10 nights. We would definitely stay here again. A grocery store and gas station is on one side and a large laundry on the other. There are many restaurants in the area. read more

Be aware this is not really a recreational RV park. The spaces are VERY tight. The men's restroom was out of order "til further notice" and some of the wooden picnic tables were literally falling apart. Also, there were some pretty old and ragged looking rv's there. To be fair, I didn't research it enough so mea culpa. On the positive side, management was immediately responsive when we found our assigned spot was barely wide enough to allow our slide out to open. He found us a spot where there was no one on either side to give us room. It has lots of shade with live oaks. If you are an itinerant worker or a very budget conscious full timer it might work for you but I wouldn't care to use it again even as an overnight stop. It was about 75% full and it's location is right at the edge of town. There's a grocery right next door and a great Tex Mex place across the street, so it does have its conveniences. It probably could work well for the right person but it was not a great situation for us. As I said, my bad on that. read more

Stayed here for a week. Highly recommend it. It was convenient to the town and some of the wineries. The host at the front desk gave you a map of everything of interest, which I thought was a great idea. Plus it was only 8 miles from Pedernales State Park. The falls there are awesome. If I ever pass thru Johnson City again, this will be the place I stop. A fitness room, book exchange, clubhouse, bathrooms, has it all. read more

This is an old, tired RV park filled with even older, tireder RVs. We were there for a week in late August, off season, and about half of the spaces were occupied, mostly by full-timers. I suspect some of the older trailers are FEMA leftovers/ unmarked and uniform. Very few look like they have been washed this decade. The spaces are narrow and tight, but thankfully many are well-shaded. We moved to Peach Country RV Park in Stonewall, about 15 miles west and in the middle of the wine country. We're now paying only $450/month INCLUDING ELECTRICITY for a bigger space with well-tended lawns, some views, and immaculately clean common facilities. Do yourself a favor and check out Peach Country or Jellystone before checking in at Roadrunner. One star for the friendly helpful manager. One star for the shade trees. One star for the convenient location between a laundromat and small grocery/hardware store. read more
