Between mine and my parents' work schedule, we couldn't get together until Saturday; Frank had started his vacation but left us in good hands with Oscar, Tom and another salesman (young guy, name escapes me now). Good teamwork and Dad was driving out with his new truck in less than 2 hrs. While waiting outside I talked to another used car buyer who had brought his vehicle in for service. I had a horrible experience at McRee Ford. My truck was in there for 3 week they never once called to update me. After two week I started calling every day, it was always promised it would be ready the next day. This whole time they charged me for a rent a car witch totaled $852.00. Finally when it was ready I took my truck and three days later the same transmission problem started happening again. This time I took it to another dealership, there is no way the Customer Service can be this bad at the new dealership. I have had many Ford vehicles, and most of the dealers I have dealt with have gone out of their way to try and help customers, and to solve customer problems. This is not how I felt at McRee. I would highly recommend that you go to another dealer, especially if you have warranty work. read more

I called McRee to schedule my 2018 F-150 for a service recall (the 2nd on my vehicle this year) and the earliest they reportedly could fit me into the schedule was 1.5 months from now. Afterwards I spoke with the service manager who confirmed the long wait time. So, I called another Ford dealership and they told me in an apologetic way that they couldn't get me in until early next week. I laughed and explained the 1.5 month wait at McCree, accepted the appointment, and called McCree back and cancelled my December appointment at their dealership. Representatives at both dealerships were friendly, but customer service performance was much better at the other dealership. read more

Don't use the service department! I purchased a 2014 certified used Expedition from there used car department about 4 months ago. When I purchased it I asked about the way it bounced going over speed bumps and was told it was normal. Well fast forward a few months and it is in the service department now for all four new shocks and tires. The shocks were so bad they ruined the tires. So much for there certified used they obviously did not inspect the truck. Now they have had my truck a week and told me today they may need it a week more for the parts to get there. And on top of it all they don't have loner vehicles or rent cars. I know I will take my truck to a bigger dealer in Alvin for service because they at least have loaner cars. read more

I won't ever buy from McRee Ford I have tried so many times to buy from them every time I get a new truck because they are local and I like to support local businesses but they make it really hard went today to see about trading in my truck for a new one asked what kind of deals they had on the 2018s since the 19 are out now he said oh if you go through Ford credit I can get you 1500 off I was like well I bought my current vehicle 2016 F-250 king ranch in August of 16 and they gave me 12,000 off plus some other bonuses he fed me some bs line that that was because the new body style was coming out but I tried to buy from them back when I bought my current truck but they wanted to give me the minimum for my trade and tried to sell me a demo truck with 6,000 miles for more than I paid for my truck with no miles on it and I looked just now Tomball Ford and Baytown Ford are offering 8,000 off on the 18s they just don't wanna help or come down on there's I had a dealer in the middle of nowhere south Texas offer me 4,000 off on a 2019 so I know they can do better than that on a 18 so I will not either bother trying to give them my business in the future nor will I go there for service anymore or recommend them to anyone read more

Very disappointed. I was told my truck couldn't have diagnostic for 3-4 days. On day two of sitting at the dealership, I called asking if they could check the battery thinking that could be the problem. They told me that no, it wasn't the battery. They kept my truck for another two days without touching it. After day 4, I picked my truck up and took it to Firestone. After 5 minutes I was told it was the battery. I attempted to take my vehicle to this dealership to have some warranty work done. This is now the second time I have attempted to do so. The same service writer (older gentlemen with glasses, second desk from the left) has assisted me or at least attempted to. Every time I go in there, the first question that comes out of his mouth is "Did you purchase the vehicle here?". The second that I tell him no, he gives me a long explanation as to how they are three weeks out on work. The first time I tried to take my vehicle to them, they were a month out. He also told me that even though I had the extended warranty through Ford, I would have to pay out-of-pocket for a rental and get reimbursed at a later time. I have contacted Ford directly and they have told me that is not true. I attempted to contact the sales manager, Mr. Dale, and he never returned my phone call. I believe he is related to the owner of the dealership which makes it even worse. This dealership will clearly avoid assisting you at all cost if you did not purchase the vehicle from them. Maybe if they had salesman that were willing to help me instead of looking at me as another "Sale", I would have purchased my vehicle from them. I can't imagine purchasing my vehicle from a dealership that is unwilling to help you after the sale. I will drive the extra 20 miles to the next dealership to get my repairs completed. Clearly someone at this dealership needs a lesson in customer service. read more

The salesperson was professional, thoroughly knew the car and how all the features worked, and very honest and fair through the negotiations. I won't be purchasing a vehicle with McRee. We looked online and saw what our trade in was worth. At that point, I thought I would owe too much. A lady from McRee was contacting me at that point, askin me if I was interested. I said yes, but I believed I owed too much and I was not willing to putting money down, and I wanted (at the very minimum) the same bells & whistles I currently have on my vehicle (power windows, seats, mirrors, light up side sensor mirrors, 3rd row, heated seats, back up camera, CD player, trailer hitch). I said I wasn't putting any additional money down, & didn't want to waste your time or mine. She said "we should be able to make something happen." We went in preapproved for more than I needed to get a newer model of the same vehicle. I was told to ask for a specific salesperson. He said I had to be mistaken about what I owe. I explained to him I was upside down due to a wreck that occurred on my previous trade in. He then asked for the number of the bank because I had to be wrong. Really, at this point I felt like "the little woman" although they really didn't address my husband who was with me. After sitting there for an hour, and the sales guy asked at least 3 times to be sure of how much I owed, he had another guy come over and explained that I owed too much. While he was polite, I still felt as though I was being talked down to. He never addressed my husband while we were there. I figured McRee wouldn't be able to help, but your "sales dogs" won't take no for an answer and will tell people that they can make things work. I didn't appreciate my time being wasted. read more

I received a letter from Ford stating I needed to bring my car in for a long term rental due to a recall on my car. My Husband and I got off early from work and arrived 1 minutes before our scheduled appointment. Talked to the service rep and he completed all of the paperwork needed and then took me to the rental car counter. There, the service went down hill. I bought two vehicles from them in the past and even told them I was interested in purchasing a new vehicle at the end of this year (which was written in the notes at the rental car dept.). I was told that they did not have a similar car for me to use as my long term rental until the part came in for my vehicle. Seriously? A phone call would have been nice so my husband and I didn't waste our time getting off of work early and driving there! Since then, I left two messages for Darlene the service coordinator and no return phone call as to what happened! I am so disappointed in Mcree Ford. read more

The service arm of a car dealer is how I determine quality. And McRee Ford did NOT impress. Glad that when i bought my Edge, I listened to that little intuition and went to Sterling McCall instead because for maintenance, it's a huge difference! McRee could care less about you. After my experience today, I'd rather drive all that way to West houston than spend another hour at McRee. I didn't think one hour was too long to wait on a Friday at 8:00 am. What bothered me was watching my vehicle get parked and no one said anything for 10 minutes. No other customers were in line to check out. So I waited, then inquired. "justin" at checkout told me there was one customer ahead of me. Oh. Okay so thinking, how long can that be? I'll just wait. Justin called the customers name as he was seated at the desk. No one came. Probably never heard him really. So I stood ANOTHER ten minutes (!!) directly in front of Justin, waiting for the customer "ahead of me" who didn't come. Not a word passed between us. Finally I say, hey - don't want to be rude here but can you go ahead and check me out? And no lie, the boy takes an invisible SILENT phone call, And again I wait. Finally he takes my paper, enters something in the computer, asks me to sign and says "there you go". No Thanks, sorry for the wait, nada. The bones of poor old whats-his-name customer ahead of me are probably still waiting because Justin never did go find him. You know, It wasn't meaness, it was plain rude indifference. McRee is always the best when it comes to service. The loaner service for owners is the best. I actually left McRee with my last vehicle and bought a Lincoln. The Lincoln was great, but the service department at Lincoln dealership couldn't hold a candle to McRee, and their "loaner" program for owners is great as long as you have plan ahead and make a reservation! None of that at McRee. When you need service, just go in pick out a loaner and go. I won't be making the mistake of leaving McRee again. read more

Repair Service issues but sales department is very good I no longer trust them with my vehicle services!! I used them for a couple of years and the quality has gone downhill over time. I have bought 2 vehicles from them and have always liked the customer service. 1st: (This is at the quick lane service center) I had my oil changed and tires rotated and drove 7 hours to Midland, TX, that's when I noticed my hub cap wasn't all the way on so I pulled it off to re-install it and checked a lug nut by hand and it was loose, so I checked all wheels with a lug wrench and found 3 total that were loose. 2nd: (This is at the quick lane service center) I had my rear brakes and brake line to the caliper replaced, and when they brought my truck around for me I lifted the hood to check all the fluids (because of the first issue I'm checking everything because I'll be driving back to Midland, TX again) and the first thing I see is there isn't any brake fluid!! I went in and told the manager (this was also at closing time 6pm) so he pulled it back around put brake fluid in it and when I started driving home (a 20 minute drive) the brakes were spongy and didn't grab until almost to the floor (air in the lines) so I called work to postpone my Midland trip for a day and went back to wait for them to bleed the brake system. 3rd: My wife went to the main repair department (because the service writers at the main service center said the guy's at the quick lane aren't very good...I was thinking, great the tell their customers that!!) to have an issue with her truck fixed and she got a loaner for owner vehicle. We didn't schedule an appointment so they had the truck for a week (we were told a few days) and we would call and call and call leaving multiple messages and the service writer would finally call us back the following day (a good 20 hours after our initial call) so we could give him approval on an additional issue that he had called us about, so another words if would have called us back after hearing our message (that day) they could have started on the repair a day earlier so he ended up dragging the on for a week. 4th: When we brought the loaners for owners rent car back the guy behind the counter was rude drilling us on questions like: when did you get this vehicle and where is your paperwork? I told him I'll look and went to ask my wife outside with the kids if she had it in her purse and went back inside told him it was at home but I gave him the date we picked it up, so he got visibly upset and started digging through his files shutting the file cabinet drawers hard. Then after not finding our file he went outside and started drilling me on the dents and dings on the vehicle, not just asking us if they were new nicely but rudely implying with a tone in his voice that made it sound like I was lying to him when I told him they were already there and can go home to get the paperwork to prove it. Then on the way home at 60 mph (in traffic and my wife and 2 kids with me) I discovered they didn't close my hood all the way and it popped up but thank goodness the safety latch stopped it!! After that I decided not ever go back because if they would actually look at my home address on the paperwork they would see I live 5 minutes from Ron Carter Ford and pass them up to go here because the customer service was usually very good in the past and wanted remain loyal customer. read more

They explained why they needed to be changed. They showed me the cabin air filter and it was dirty. They price matched the new tires online so I felt good about the pricing. After a prior service a couple days earlier to check the vehicle for a warranty issue, we had to make this appointment to get the repairs done. The 2014 vehicle was brought in due to a leaking rear pinion seal, but it was also discussed that the bumper clips may need to be repaired. The service consultant initially told me any bumper clip issues would have to be handled by their Body Shop, which is a different business with different hours, however, this turned out to not be true. I found out by talking to the Body Shop, the service center has a trim person that could inspect the clips, which would only take a few minutes to inspect. Then the service center stated the trim person was too busy servicing the vehicles damaged by the recent floods caused by excessive rain to even look at our vehicle for 1 month. I asked to make another appointment and was told no because they don't know if they will be ready for me in a month and just call in a month to make an appointment. I actually waited about 6 weeks and was then told I would have to wait another 1.5 weeks just to get my car in for an inspection and I should have made the appointment 6 weeks earlier so I wouldn't have to wait another 1.5 weeks. During this same visit for the leak, a multi-point inspection was performed and noted the battery was in need of immediate service due to low Cold Cranking Amps. However, the service consultant did not look at the inspection sheet and did not mention it to my wife when she picked up the vehicle. It wasn't until I looked at the paperwork later that evening and noticed the technicians note to service the battery. I immediately called Mcree Ford and spoke to the service consultant who stated he didn't know anything was wrong because he didn't read the inspection report. He said he never reads them and is only aware of problems if the technician personally notifies him, but in this case, the technician never told him there were any concerns with the vehicle, which is why he did not present them to us. Then the technician said it should not be a problem but bring in the vehicle in about 2 months to check it again. All combined, I was not told the truth, had mine and my family's time wasted and was only able to complete one item after 2 visits and still needed to return. On the return visit, Mcree Ford was unable to perform basic services, such as measure battery amperage and tire depth, which was the main reason for bringing in the vehicle. In addition, they damaged the tailpipe in such a manner, it made the car unable to be driven. Then the McRee Ford technician and service consultant (Craig Decker) lied about it, falsely accusing my son of riding over a curb and causing the damage prior to bringing in the Vehicle and harassing my wife and son in the service center as they were told to come pick up the car because nothing we asked them to check was wrong. The shop foreman (Brian Callahan) finally admitted to damaging the pipe, but roadblocked us by only willing to pay for labor ($110) and making me pay for the part ($140), I accepted just to get my car back after a week in the shop so I don't ever have to see Mcree Ford again. In addition to damaging the vehicle, the technician was so poor, he was unable to even measure the tire depth properly on our car and it took the shop foreman to verify that we in fact do need tires. However, I will not be getting them there. The service consultant (Craig Decker) even had to be told 3 times that he was to check the battery amperage, tread depth and bumper clips. He put wrong information on the service records and stated the battery needed to be jumped and we installed bumper clips that needed to be inspected. The truth was McRee Ford told us the clips may have fallen off and I needed them to verify. Additionally, we were previously told by Mcree Ford at our prior appointment the battery needed immediate service, but that proved to be wrong. The worst part is they never even attempted to contact my wife and son to apologize for harassing them and lying about the damage or falsely accusing them of causing the damage. read more

I have always been a Chevy girl, but decided to give Ford a try. I actually loved the Ford F-150 and attempted to buy one. After 3 days of going back and forth with finance and spending at least 3 to 4 hours there a day, we had finally reached a deal with $40,000 financed, $7,000 down and $2,700 that the manager needed to drop the price on to let me drive home in my new truck. Amazingly the manager DID NOT drop the price by the $2,700 and lost a $50,000 sale!! I wasted 3 days of my time. My sales guy was great and did everything he could. I would recommend HIM and ONLY HIM to anyone. But understand that the people above his head CANNOT and WILL NOT work with you. Be prepared for that prior to going here. The product is great, sales is great, but management & finance...I would NOT recommended having to deal with. Would I suggest them ultimately? Only if you have your own financing and come prepared to loose time from work to accomplish a deal. read more

I have a 2010 F150 that has paint issues. The paint is not adhering to the metal. I was told by the service manager that Ford /McRee Ford would take care of it in July. Hurricane Harvey hit at the end of August so this issue was pushed back until November. I called and sent several emails to the service manager about this and finally was asked to bring the truck to the body shop manager and he would take care of it for me. All he did was look and take pictures. Again, I called and emailed both managers several times and finally at the end of December, I received a phone call from the body shop manager that McRee would not fix the truck. I know that the truck is out of warranty and I expected to maybe share in the expense. The issue I have is I was told several times that Ford/McRee Ford would take care of it and it took five months to be told no. Now, in one of the spots, my truck is rusting. read more

The McRee Ford Sevice Center did a great job for me recently to diagnose a total engine failure on my 2012 F-150. I had some warranty work completed (with 600 miles remaining on the Ford extended factory warranty) at McRee on my truck's 3.5L EcoBoost engine (Ford TSB 15-0131) in April 2016. After approximately 2,500 miles the engine failed driving between Luling, TX and Flatonia,TX. After having the truck towed to McRee, John Becker and Tim Allen had the technician tear down the engine to diagnose the failure. Internally the engine was wrecked with damage to the pistons, heads, valves, timing chains, timing gears, etc. Initially Mr. Allen felt it was a part related to the TSB work but ultimately the part that failed determined to be a Ford factory installed key pin securing the lower timing chain gear to the crank shaft. The engine failure occurred at 77,107 miles which technically was outside the limit of the Ford extended factory warranty but Mr. Allen worked with Ford Motor Company to have a new engine assembled and installed in my 2012 F-150. I paid nothing for this repair. I commend John Becker, Tim Allen and McRee Ford for standing by their work and working with Ford Motor Company to make this horrible experience end with a very satisfactory outcome for the customer. There are a lot of businesses that would not have gone to this length to determine cause and make the customer whole. Thanks! read more

I reside in Conroe Tx., Mcree had a truck that I wanted, so I went down only to find that the truck had already "sold". To my surprise the next day I was advised that the buyer was unable to come up with the down payment. So, I went back and test drove the truck. I found the tires to be worn and in need of replacement. The Used Car Manager said no, take it or leave it as is. So I left it there. Later that evening the salesman contacted me and advised that they would put "new" tires on it. We have a deal! So I return, do finance and trade my truck in. They didn't put tires on over the weekend as agreed. SO, I again leave and expect my new/used truck to be delivered last night. They still didn't get the tires put on, and come to find out they are putting "almost new" tires on it. Here I am today, supposed to have my truck delivered to where I am working. AND AGAIN they still haven't started on putting the new/used tires on. I will NEVER step foot in McRee Ford again. The salesman did everything he could, but in the end got screwed just like I am. Bring your business elsewhere folks, saying and doing are two completely different things. read more

Love the dealership. Have purchased 2 vehicles from them in past 2 years. I am unhappy with the service that I have had recently. Unfortunately, my truck that is only 1 year old is having a leak from the sunroof. Brought it in for service after waiting almost 2 weeks for an appointment. Was told the problems was fixed. 2 days later it rained and the sunroof flooded into the vehicle on the driver side (always has been the passenger side before). Stained the headliner and went down onto the carpet. Brought the vehicle back again and they now tell me it is fixed. Still unsure if the sunroof is repaired. They "cleaned" the headliner which still shows the same amount of staining as before. If the headliner is damaged from a defective sunroof, seems like to me they should replace it when they make the repair. Now have to look up at the stained roof daily which is quite frustrating on a $50k dollar vehicle. read more

I went to get my front shocks put on after spending quite a bite I of money on getting my ball joints done. I came in the morning and was the second customer there at 7am. I was expecting to get my truck back by noon because it was a fairly easy job. I was told they were in a morning meeting at and they were getting to my truck after that. Come to find out after calling them at noon that my truck still wasn't done. I ending up going up there around 5 because I still haven't heard from them. I didn't get my truck back until almost 6 pm. When I ask why it took all day for this easy job, I given the impression that I was not important even though I had a appointment in the morning. And seeing people who came in way after me getting in and out in a timely fashion. Not to mention that while I was waiting for my truck at at 5 I asked 2 customers who where in there already how long and when they got there. Was shocked to find out they had only been there for an hour. So I asked again why it took all day. I was basically told my truck was not important.
