Had the factory recall of my passenger side airbag done here. They installed a grey cover instead of black on the dash. Had a manager look at it and he said that our Edge had a grey dash in it and that the use of cleaning product has turned our dash grey despite the fact the rest of our leather interior is black. He went as far as to attempt to use some unknown product to turn the new part black and match it to the rest of the dash. When that was unsuccessful he simply stated there was nothing he could do, and walked off leaving my wife and I standing in the service bay. We later recieved a survey from Ford corporate wanting us to rate our experience at McRee Ford. We told them what occurred only to recieve another computerized message wanting us to rate the follow up and resolution of our problem. We informed them that we had not been contacted by McRee Ford and we would no longer by purchasing they're products despite having done so for the last 30 plus years. I would not recommend anyone do business with McRee Ford service. They seem to have no concept of either customer service or a job well done. UPDATE Was contacted by Tim Allen, cool name to have if your the service mgr at a car dealership, anyway he said they are going to send the car in to have it color matched at some interior place. Sounds good to me if they actually get it done. Been waiting over a week to hear back as to when we are supposed to drop the car off again. Will keep posting updates. Going to increase this by a star because they appear to be trying to resolve the issue. FINAL UPDATE They had me bring our car back in and they sent it out to have the dash color matched. Picked it up and it's as close to matching as I believe it could possibly be. They once again provided us with a loaner while they had our car so alls well that ends well. Feel like Tim did a pretty good job in trying to make us happy but they could of bought us a steak dinner to make up for our lost time! Lol! Ya just cant make some people happy! Gonna raise this to 4 stars. Maybe they will hit 5 stars next time if they do it right the first time. BTW, I have two Fords and a Lincoln sitting in the drive right now. McRee Ford denied my warranty claim on my 2024 Ford F-150 Lightning, telling me that significant paint delamination on the front bumper was caused by rock chips. That determination was wrong. I explained that this happened after only a couple thousand miles. When I went to the Ford forums, other Lightning owners had identified the exact same issue with these bumpers -- this is a known problem. I even went by 2 different paint and body shop and they both told me it was a problem with primer and paint sticking. The same day I picked up my truck from McRee, I took it to Mac Haik Ford. Their body shop manager personally inspected it and immediately identified the real issue: a primer adhesion failure -- meaning the paint never properly bonded to the bumper from the factory. He filed a warranty claim on the spot and put me in a rental while the repair is processed. McRee Ford's dismissal was not only incorrect, it was lazy. The damage pattern -- large irregular voids with the paint film visibly lifting and peeling at the edges -- is nothing like a rock chip. Any experienced body shop professional can see that. Mac Haik's manager saw it in minutes. If McRee Ford had done their job properly, this would have been resolved the first time. Instead I had to fight for what I was entitled to under warranty. I will not be returning, and I would caution anyone with a warranty issue to think carefully before trusting this dealership. My experience with Brandon Sweeney was zero customer service. I went to have my cabin air filter changed by the service department at McRee and after receiving my truck back there was a heavy fuel smell in the cab of the truck. The service technicians told me they didn't smell anything and all they could smell was air freshener (which hadn't been used whatsoever) I then asked three other customers at the dealership if they could smell it they all agreed but the manager refused to do anything to make the situation right. read more

Poor Service and Disloyalty to the Customer - my ford bronco sport has been under recall for a couple defects. I discovered one such defect, a faulty battery issue with Ford's OEM Variant, and replaced same at personal cost. Ford called me regarding the defect and offered reimbursement if I came in-person. Upon my arrival, they discarded my recently purchased battery, put in another Ford variant and refused their original offer of refund. I had to force them to put back in the battery I paid $300 for at personal cost - this incident occured despite Ford's promise they were only inspecting my non-OEM battery for recall purposes and would not replace it. I had purchased a brand new 2023 f150 tremor only for a couple months in the roof started leaking and creating mold on the carpet. The dealership told me it was about a thousand different things and even accused me of breaking it. Breaking what you might ask? Well they couldn't really say, they said i probably just opened the sub roof which never happened because i never used it also it was closed. The eventually ended with the fact that it was "drain tubes" i got my truck back from the service after about 6 weeks. I was very excited to have my nice truck back when not even a week later it started to rain outside and guess what my truck is leaking rain water again something that was supposed to be fixed. On top of that i had to pay nearly 9 grand to have my carpet removed because of rain mold and replaced. My truck and the most expensive warranty and some how this wasn't covered the first time and i had to pay. Now the second time it is some how covered under the exact same warranty. This establishment is horrible! I overhear the ladies at the desk complaining about customers being customers and there is zero professional environment! I've had 2 encounters with this dealership, both were extremely negative. The most recent encounter was a few weeks ago. My truck needed a certain part put in to fix an issue, and along with that a transmission fluid change. I know this to work on vehicles, but didn't have the equipment or the time to do this specific job. I knew this would fix the issue, but when I called to explain to the service department what I needed done, the guy that answered the phone cut me off saying that it wouldn't fix the issue. Wouldn't let me get a single word in. So I said okay, hung up, and immediately called a different shop to do the job which they did the same day. And what do you know, it fixed the issue. Kinda like I said it would. So McRee missed out on money from me because the guy on the phone already knew it wouldn't work without even looking at my vehicle. Great customer service guys! Previous issue occurred in July 2020, was looking to purchase a truck. Salesman here was very nice and I found a vehicle I was ready to purchase that day, however the salesman explained to me because it was used, They still had to put it through the certified pre-used look over. I said okay, I'll be back tomorrow to get the truck. I pull up early the very next day and what do you know, the truck was sold the day before. Just really crappy and shady all together. I went across the street to gay family auto and purchased a truck which I'm still driving today. Avoid this dealership at all costs. They're very shady and think they know it all. At first I was happy with our dealings with this place and the people there. My son is 20 .. he's been working since he was 16.. he has a good job, he's dependable and ambitious- he saved money, built credit, and did all the right things. He bought a truck that was not flashy but rather simply met his needs- he chose smartly. He put a down payment on $25k truck, did not need a co-signer, and even chose to buy an extended warranty coverage. This is his first vehicle, mind you, and therefore his first need for insurance and since he is under 25 insurance is not cheap. So, not even 30 days into owning this truck, a check engine light comes on.. a print out from auto zone pinpoints the issue and my son and his father take this to the dealership to have it repaired on warranty. They said they were booked up and set an appointment for the truck to be looked at a few weeks later...they take it in the day of the scheduled appointment and they say well we'll have it a few days but you can take this rental/loaner. When they call them to come get the truck, these people say there wasn't anything wrong with the truck so nothing was done to it- that'll be $200. Oh and by the way, there's a rock chip in the windshield of the rental that'll be another $800. WTAF This is nothing but a scam. When my husband and son complained about it and showed them the print out of the part that was shown to be faulty, the people there still don't fix it, but end up refunding the $200 paid for them to just look at the truck for two days. However, they said they were still going to hit my son's insurance for $800 to replace the entire windshield of a rental he never actually needed for a rock chip that was actually just one of many on the windshield already. This literally happens to everyone traveling in Houston areas- which is probably why the windshield had five or six other chips in it before they loaned it to us. Clearly, these people are running an insurance scam and they're doing it by hitting my son's perfect record that he worked hard for. I suspect that they're doing this to a lot of people because this type of shady business practice doesn't just appear overnight.. it's something that is put into place through frequent practice. This behavior seemed like just another day for these guys. I'm truly offended and frankly P.O.'d that they wasted his time, did not repair the faulty part on this $25k vehicle that he's only owned for only a couple of months and purchased an expensive extended warranty for, and then had the nerve to run an insurance scam on my 20yr old son's name and insurance. BUYERS BEWARE DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THESE SCAM ARTISTS Additional information: they said something to the effect that they are a dealership .. they call in a specialist for windshields so this affects pricing - not entirely sure what they meant or if it was misunderstood due to their double speaking tactics. But if that's what they meant- That's just stupid -because they are a dealership mechanic service shop.. this is what the warranty is used for.. you can't use the warranty to go to any other mechanic- only their mechanics. Also, that rental sat in our driveway for two days- it was driven from the dealership to our house, once to our family's house six miles down the road in a residential neighborhood, and then back to the dealership to pick up a truck that was returned without any maintenance or repair. No amount of double speak BS will ever convince me that this was not done intentionally to make repairs on a rental that already "needed" it by scamming the money from a responsible customer. Terrible service. From the sales department to the service department. Once we bought our brand new, custom truck, it was radio silence. Had to call continuously to get the plates, and when they came in, there was no call - when we called again, the answer was, yeah they've been here a couple days. Service - incredibly, incredibly rude. Not knowledgeable. Constant reminders to put the correct oil in. Damage to some of the truck during service. Constantly had to call for updates, never did they call me to let me know if a service was complete - every time, we would call them and they'd say "yeah, it's been done" When we called the same sales person to inquire on another vehicle a couple years later, there was no sort of - acknowledgement of being a repeat customer. When inquiring on trading the truck that we purchased from them, the sales manager literally laughed at us. Our truck is pristine and another dealership jumped at the opportunity to take it. If for some reason we purchase another vehicle, I will literally go out of state before purchasing even a water from them. Ford truck has 3 recalls on it. They had me make an appointment to come in for the recalls and it cost me plenty of inconvenience and Uber money to leave the truck overnight. They talk me into adding on a tire rotation so they can profit I suppose. I don't find out they were unable to fix the recalls until After I pick up my truck when they call saying it's "ready". I'm told the parts are on national back order and there's "nothing they can do about it". I was told a month ago that they could take my truck in to get repaired from a car accident. After 2 trips up there the past month my vehicle still sits in the same place the tow truck dropped it off at. I use my truck to make a living and this dealership has done nothing to help out. (Multiple phone calls, voicemails, emails) 19 Escape purchased new has been in service for 31 days and not a single follow up from advisor after initial diagnosis. Purchased new, but has a manufacturing defect with engine block and must replace engine. Called Ford and was told to speak to dealer about buyback program. Dealer says speak with Ford. Complete runaround with no one accepting blame for selling a defective product. When I call and ask for Tim, "he is not in right now", completely dissatisfied with McCree Ford. They sold a bad product and instead of at least trying to make it right they just pass the blame and hope you will just give up trying. Totally unacceptable to be shut out by the dealership. Update: 10/1/2017. Got a letter from Zurich Insurance which is representing McRee. In short, we are not covering your loss of a car. TDL: You are out of a car and money because we are greedy, tough luck. I bought my car from McRee last year. I had my 2016 Ford Edge Sport at McRee Ford two (2) weeks prior to Hurricane Harvey due to a safety recall and a adaptive steering fault (2nd failure). McRee had possession of car during this time as they did not feel getting parts in a timely manner mattered. Long story short, my car flooded while in their possession and is now totaled. McRee told me to take a hike and that I had to file under my own insurance for damages. They are back dating my loaner turned "rental car" with a week of charges because the flooding occurred a week ago.... McRee then had the nerve to say they would be happy to sell me a new car at a small discount due to my loss.... Now I have NO CAR and a bill that I still have to pay. Mr. Julio at McRee Ford has made me begin to think a car salesman makes the biggest commission when selling a brand new vehicle. I was very clear when visiting this established dealership: I am looking to get into a used sedan with low miles and luxury option. First, he shows me used SUVs that I won't be able to afford. After sharing that concern with him, he goes to a brand new Fusion that is a base model. Again, not what I am looking for. He keeps pushing for something that I made very clear I do not want. As I am ready to leave, I spot a perfect vehicle (that he never showed me). Just 3 years old, low mileage, and full options. I walk back inside and ask about the vehicle. He said: do you want to do an application for it? I said: yes please. As it was nearing closing time, he said it wouldn't be until tomorrow that I would hear back from him. The next day came and went, no news from Julio. The second day was almost over, too, when I called him. Oh yeah, I didn't submit the app "bro." So I ask: really, why not? To which Julio replies: well listen, bro, here's the deal, you know, your only option is going into the brand new base model that I showed you. What the heck, Julio? So I called the main line for the dealership, inquired about the car he was supposed to file the application for, and as it turns out: it got sold yesterday. I bet you anything that was by Julio. So I talk to his manager, who looked shocked at first. Said this never happens. Said he wants to help me. Hooks me up with another sales guy -- Julio's best buddy. Now I get Julio back, too. They insist they have the solution for me. I do the application, the banks decided it was not something that would work. How did I find out? I had to call, and call, and call, to finally get someone that could break that news to me. I saw a truck on line that met my criteria and drove over to the dealership asap as good vehicles come and go quickly. Drove up in front and low and behold a salesman greeted me in the most awesome way....no great sales spill...just a good hardy greeting at the sidewalk....I stated what I was willing to pay and trade and w/his expertise and non-pressure mannerism ...we made a deal and I drove out w/ my truck....the truck was originally purchased and maintained by Mc Ree Ford, so I felt confident in knowing that according to the Carfax Report. So a great experience and feeling I made a great deal and purchase....Thank you Mc Ree.... But the experience extends to INTEGRITY....I had my truck for about 2 months when the engine light appeared and so I pulled into a local O'Riely's Auto Parts and had them graciously put their computer on it....It pointed to a couple of items that to me pointed to coverage probably w/my purchased warranty policy. So, I paid a visit to the service department and was greeted once again by a professional concerned service manager.....He assured me that probably the warranty would probably cover it....and if so I would be given a loaner vehicle until it was repaired.....Later he called and sad to say the problem was much much greater than expected and was not covered, but to give him some time as the used car department wanted to review things and possibly repair it at their cost.....Well, in a day or so I received a text and it said....done deal your truck will be repaired free of charge...come in to get your loaner. I ASKED... WELL WHY WOULD YOU GUYS COMPLETELY TAKE CARE OF MY VEHICLE OUT OF WARRANTY AT YOUR COST....THE REPLY WAS.... BECAUSE IT SIMPLY IS THE RIGHT THING TO DO! On August 27, 2022 I took my 2013 Ford Explorer to the McRee Ford service facility with the complaint of vehicle stutters on acceleration while driving. The service advisor was Marvin Zepeda. The technician was Jonathan Alton. A multi-point inspection was done, electronic diagnostic, as well as replacement of plugs and boots, requiring removal of the intake, and the intake gasket was replaced. A complete fuel system flush was also performed. The total cost to me was $947, yet my vehicle was never looked at by a transmission expert. The problem still exists, and was not solved. I was told by Marvin it would cost me another $800 just for the transmission to be looked at. I don't understand how I can take my vehicle with a transmission problem in for repairs and it not be seen by a transmission expert to begin with. Since this ordeal was sounding questionable, I went ahead and took my vehicle out of that shop. I truly feel I have been taken advantage of by the McRee Ford service repair shop. I called the service department manager, Brandon Sweeny, but got nowhere with my concerns. Instead Marvin called me with a quote of $5000 for a new transmission before labor costs. Marvin and Brandon both tried to tell me I was given a discount, a really great deal, because they felt for my situation. It did not sound legit to me, I never discussed my situation with anyone. Bought a car here( Ford Focus) a little over a year ago and the experience was pretty good for buying a car. It is never a fun process but I felt I got a fair deal and the staff made me feel comfortable. They did not try to hit me up with a bunch of dealer add ons or anything. Last week my battery was dead. I took the car in(July 3rd) and they said they would look at it even though they were busy. 20 mins later they said they would not have time but that they would give me a loaner car until they could. I ended keeping the loaner car for 4 days free of charge and they stayed in contact every day. That is great in my book. Free loaner car for people who buy their car there. Do not waste your time looking into a vehicle with this business ESPECIALLY if you are not local. And based on the treatment we received, I would say avoid them, period!! Long story short, my husband reached out to them the night before confirming he was interested in a truck they claimed had been there for months with no prospects . We had gotten pre-approved for the truck through our credit union, so the only thing we needed was the required paperwork from the business to the bank. The next morning we touched base again about the truck, after confirming again with my husband that we were interested in the truck, my husband had Justin contact me because he is a truck driver on the road, so that we could finalize the process. Justin calls me and says all he needed was my ID and they would send over the things my bank needed and the finance department would also be contacting me. We hang up, I IMMEDIATELY forward over my ID, along with my loan officers card so that they have the correct contact info. Moments later my husband calls saying he received a TEXT from Justin saying a contract was pending with someone else, I'm saying to myself yeah me. I'm thinking he is joking, he is like no babe, I'm serious. I immediately call Justin, who says and I quote "5 minutes after talking to me, someone came into the building and signed the contract and paid a deposit." I say, how is that possible when that's exactly what we were doing!! We were literally pushed to the side because we were not local. He claims we did not talk numbers, there were no numbers to discuss we wanted the truck, we were getting the truck for the price listed, and already pre-approved, just waiting on YALL. I've always talk Ken my Ford vehicles to McRae for service after purchase. Today, on a 2017 explorer with 42k miles, the engine mount decided to take a crap on us. lol pouring out of it under the car. I drove it straight to mcree to leave it for service. I did not need it back in any rush or even need a loner. Literally walked in to drop it off and wait for a call when they got to it. I was told I could not leave a vehicle withoUt an appointment.
