Service Department is H O R R I B L E ! ! ! These guys are either extremely understaffed or tremendously under-qualified to do their jobs! Possibly both, but whatever the case is at McCree Ford, they lost a customer. I hope they realize that the service department is a direct reflection on their car dealership. The battery on my wifes 2015 Escape is bad and when I called service they transferred me without telling me to quick lane and I was told we could drop the car off or wait but they did not have rental car for us to use. We have bought all our cars from Mcree for the last 30 years one of the reasons was being able to have a car when we had to drop off. This time I was told it was two different departments and the one I got transferred to would not help me with the first. I would also like to know was it just the battery went bad or is something else wrong. This is very disappointing that after all these years of being a loyal customer to be treated with such disdain as neither person I spoke with could have cared less. Cannot recommend service department. Took 2017 truck in for an oil change, tire rotation, TPMS issue on one tire, and radio defaulting to AM every time I turned engine off. Also, recall on one item. Called on a Monday, they said they were super busy, and set appt for Thursday at 7am. Took truck in Thursday at 7am, was told by Christine that truck "might not be finished by end of day". This was acceptable, and I planned for that. Roll forward to MONDAY. Monday morning, truck had not been touched according to Christine. They did get on it, Christine called to say that TPMS was fixed, radio there is no fix for, they don't have the part to fix recall, it has to be ordered, etc. They got truck ready for pick up. Called and left message for Christine to confirm oil change/tire rotation was complete. Waited till next morning to pick up, in case she had forgotten oil change.... got there to pick up.. NO OIL CHANGE... paperwork says they did the recall.... says 12 point inspection good.... needless to say, we took the truck from there. Went to Valvoline, did oil change... they pulled the air filter and showed it to us... FILTHY. How did we pass the inspection at McCree? Have no idea if recall was done, paperwork says it was, but Christine says it wasn't. Two messages left for Tim Allen, then one message left for General Manager. No return call in 24 hours. read more

Really nice, clean, and friendly place to purchase a vehicle. I just bought a truck there and the sales process was very smooth. After doing my own research, I knew what other dealers were selling my exact truck at, so it made the negotiation super easy and smooth. I still paid a little more than some of the larger dealerships in houston, but I like buying local and can't beat the convenience since its in my home town. My sales guy was very new to selling Ford, and what he lacked in knowledge of the truck, he made up for in effort and just all around pleasant to be around if nothing else. My finance guy on the other hand, while friendly, was so stereotypical and just like most of the other finance guys (and gals) I've dealt with over time. There was huge mistake in the numbers, and everything was so convoluted in the presentation that it took me a little while to figure out what was wrong. If I had just been a typical "where do i sign" guy, I would have made a costly mistake. I didn't understand or fully buy into his explanation, but if it was done intentionally, it was pretty ballsy. So I'll give him the benefit of doubt and accept that it was an honest mistake. If you're in the market for a ford, I recommend Mcree based on ease, convenience, and overall experience. If price alone is your driver, you can probably do better elsewhere. To me, time is money too though, so I stayed close. read more

I ended up buying the car from them because it was a kind of rare car that I wanted, and they happened to have it. Had this not been the case, I certainly would not have chosen to do business with them. They were dishonest, inefficient, and made me feel like they could care less since the car I bought was kind of a low-priced car. They also had right-wing news on all over the dealership that I found really offensive, especially as I was being asked to wait several hours because of their inefficiency and listen to that nonsense on top of it. read more

I stopped in to the Mcree Ford quick lube and the one person working the service counter told me it would be 1 1/2 hours for an oil change. Left and went just up the road to a Kwik Lube and they changed my oil and I was on the road in less than 30 minutes. Why can dealerships not get better with their lube service ??? read more

Spoke with one of their service department guys (Marvin) over the phone and explained that I wanted the transmission pan dropped, filter changed, fluid replaced, and pan cleaned for my 2010 Focus. Marvin gave me a price of $130 for the fluid change and filter replacement after confirming that it could be done easily. I showed up and Marvin immediately sent me over to their "Quick Lane" service department on the other side. I went over there, and they promptly told me that the filter was inaccessible on the 2010 Focus, and that they'd have to take apart the entire transmission to do that (and obviously not honor the quoted price). They also explained some of the other options that I wasn't interested in, such as a full flush. I went back over to Marvin on the other side of the dealership, and he simply said that "Oh, I guess you can't do that...we never drop the pan on 2010 Focuses" and then proceeded to quote me $185 ($55 more than he quoted to get me in the door) if I wanted to do a flush (which again, I had no interest in doing). This place smells of incompetence. While the quick service guy seemed to be knowledgeable (I wish I had his name to actually complement him), the bait and switch that Marvin tried to pull on me is inexcusable. I will continue researching their claim of difficulty (which they made after they got me in the door, of course), and will update here whether or not they were correct. While speaking to him, Marvin was dismissive. While he was friendly and eager on the phone, it seems like once he actually got me there, he couldn't care less. Regardless, I will not be returning to McRee after this and will focus on another local dealership in the future when I need to buy a new Ford or have any other service done. read more

Service advisor "Darlene" had a terrible attitude from the time I dropped off my vehicle until the day I picked it up. (31Aug-19Sep!!) I should have known better than leaving it with her. She charged warranty labor to Ford Motor corporation that I never asked for. No follow up and total disrespect from day one. Would never recommend this dealership to anyone. I took my 2012 Ford F-150 Pick-Up in for service recently because my Service Engine Soon light was on and my mechanic said it might be covered under warranty. I needed an oil change, so I figured while I was there I would have them change my oil. I've always been hesitant about servicing cars at dealerships because they tend to be overpriced and slow, and indeed the oil change service is more expensive. However, since I had bought my truck at McRee back in 2012, I was told I was eligible for a free loaner vehicle -- thats what sold me on getting my repair at McRee. As it turns out, the part that went out on my truck was not covered by warranty, but the total bill -- including oil change -- came out to just under $300, so I can't complain. Yes, they kept my truck for 5 days, but to be fair that included a Saturday and Sunday... And had I gone to my regular repair shop I would have spent A LOT more money in the end because I would have needed to pay for a vehicle rental. Another nice thing I found out, is McRee will meet or beat any tire quote you bring to them from shops in the area. I need a new tire, so I may try that service out with them soon. read more

I sent my wife to McRee Ford to get an oil change on my diesel Excursion today. I understand that QuickLane is currently under flood damage reconstruction, and that the service department is having to handle the extra work load. We are all recovering from hurricane damage in Galvestion County. She asked for an oil change, was rudely sent to another person who explained that it would be at least three hours, and had no place to wait. We have been doing business with McRee Ford for over forty years, and this is by far the worst service we have ever received. The service writers were rude, rude, rude. Based on todays experience, we will probably never go back. She is currently on her way to BayWay Lincoln's QuickLane. Hopefully she will get much nicer service there. Reuben Pringle read more

Justenn Harmon contacted me shortly after submitting my request to ask questions about what I was looking for, priorities on equipment and other various items. He was extremely responsive, helpful and seemed knowledgeable on aiding me in my vehicle search. I did not finish the car buying process, but it was absolutely nothing to do with the dealership. I can't comment on the closing of the sales process and financing considerations but I would recommend giving them a shot. We had to set an appointment up on month in advance for service. We dropped the car off early, 2 days in the shop (on time) and no word. I just needed the Sync system updated and break inspection. I gave the McRee Ford Service Department the lowest rating b/c I dropped my SUV off to have a new computer module installed along with simple maintenance things. After paying over $1,300, I was surprised to see that my rear camera was now displaying upside down. I called the Service Department a couple of times to speak with our Service Manager. We set an appointment for them to fix the issue while I waited. After I arrived for the appointment, I was told I would have to leave my SUV because there was "no way the Service Department was going to be able to get to it today." Here it is two weeks later, my husband goes to pick up our SUV, and he is told our camera no longer works (at all) because it is "too old," and they want to charge him more money for the service of breaking our camera!?! He has been communicating with our Service Manager over the past couple of weeks as recently as yesterday when he told my husband it was ready, and he was never told the camera is now broken!!Terrible experience!! That is the last vehicle we will purchase at McRee Ford as we will take our business elsewhere! read more

I've been shopping and buying from McRee Ford since 1988. When I got out of the service, I went there to purchase my first vehicle as a civilian. The sales team was great. They helped me find a vehicle in my price range and I used that truck for 5 years while I went to school. Later I went there to pick up a Raptor. Then a Focus to use as a family car. Later my daughter needed her first...then her second...and my son needed his first solo purchase. Mo is the guy to see. He's the best. He'll do his best to understand what you need, find the vehicle, then help you figure out all the special savings incentives they have so you can get the lowest price possible. I'm a fan. My vehicle had a factory recall for the replacement of the master brake cylinder. The brake booster which is under the master cylinder failed due to the factory recalled master cylinder leaking brake fluid on it. They made me pay for the brake booster replacement even though it failed because the master cylinder had caused the damage. Been buying Fords all my life. NOT ANY MORE. Bad customer service. Bought a used 2018 F-150 1.5 years ago (June 2019). Truck was turned in after lease expiration but not given an inspection before turning over to me. Fortunately (or unfortunately) I bought the extended warranty. Sunroof failed within the first month, but repaired under warranty. Service manager had a coniption because it was repaired before the warranty was active. Truck always had a rattle when accelerating at 1600 RPM. Dropped it off, 3 weeks later I was told there is nothing wrong and it was some change I had in the door. Can't drop off my truck for service during the summer because the loaner trucks do not have tow bars. Scheduled the return visit and was told we are running behind and next appointment is 3 months out. If I really needed service, I would be without a truck for 3 months? Service managers have full voicemail boxes and infrequently return phone calls. After 6 times, I got one return call. read more

The most unprofessional collection of people in one dealership that I've ever dealt with over the 30 years that I've been buying vehicles. They were fine during the purchasing process however once it came to getting my titlework and registration paperwork processed, they sat on it for 3 weeks instead of getting it sent out through their vendor. I had to provide my proof of insurance on 3 separate occasions because there was no communication between the 3 people Justenn (my sales guy), Oscar and Christina who were handling it. After 9 unreturned phone calls including one to the Sales Manager Bob (who said he'd look into it and call me back but never did), multiple ignored text messages I finally made contact with the only intelligent and professional person working there. Kathy Deats took the time and looked into the delay, made phone calls and called me back within a timely manner with the important information needed. I travel for a living and also live in another state so everything has to be processed and sent through my home state rather than Texas where I purchased the vehicle while down there for work. The temporary tags provided upon purchase have an expiration date and if they were to expire before I was able to get my plates and registration i would obviously be unable to drive the vehicle which would effect my job negatively. Would I use this dealership again? Absolutely not!! BUT I would take Kathy to dinner to show my appreciation for her professionalism, attention to detail and her concerned caring attitude. I was told 3 weeks before I could get it in to look at. I was ok with that and made an appointment. Took my Mustang in on my appointment date for minor warranty items as the end of it was coming close to an end. After setting there for 5 days and no one touching it, I picked it up and took it North to another Ford Dealership. Because I did not buy my car here ( just moved from OK), no loaner car! I had to call every day for an update and didn't get firm answers on when my car would be ready. Update on my service: due to the fact that it was mcree ford that initially did the recall job on my car, I had no choice in where I could take my car. Most, if not all of the employees up front at the service desk are useless but in demanding that I speak to someone that actually knows about cars, and climbing the ladder was stressful as even Diane laughed at me as she walked away, was just rude and uncalled for. HOWEVER, when I spoke to Brian Callahan everything seemed to change. He was honest and straight forward, unlike everyone I have dealt with at mcree up to this point. He was the one person that treated me with respect and actually gave a damn enough to identify that there was still a problem and not only went out of his way to make things right, but went above and beyond to be sure that the job was done in a timely manner. I can't begin to tell you that if this place had more people like him, they wouldn't get the bad rap that they do. He really stood out and I commend him for not treating me like an idiot. If anyone here deserves to be recognized, its him. I probably won't shop here for a new car as the salesmen are like you would expect. The service dept. was terrible. They would not return my calls. Finally talked to a lady in the dept. who indicated that she had lots of issues with her personnel. Went to pick up truck when finally finished and they charged me for work they did not do. Claimed they pulled the dashboard of my truck but paper tucked into area by speed odometer was never moved. Also straw sticking out of glove box was never moved. Fingerprints all over radio which is the only thing they took out of my dashboard. The service dept is a big fat ripoff. Professional Service and helpful in controlling costs.

I called them to set up an appointment for my new Super Duty Platinum, in which the sunroof is stuck in a partially open position (rendering the truck unusable for work). The service rep told me it would be "at least 3 weeks" before he could get to it. When I stressed to him that the truck was not usable with the sunroof stuck open, he said that's the best he could do. Giving the dealership's service department the benefit of the doubt, I asked if this was due to lingering Hurricane Harvey effects. He said not really, but they are just too busy for "trim work". When I told him a sunroof stuck partially open is more than "trim work", he still refused to look at it before 3 weeks. I informed him that my next Super Duty Platinum would not be purchased from McRee Ford. read more
