(0/5 stars) Avoid George's Auto Repair & Motorsports at all…read morecosts. The prices are outrageous, the work is incredibly poor, and management refuses to take responsibility for clear mistakes, offering nothing but constant excuses instead. I took my vehicle here and experienced a string of incompetent and careless service: * Incomplete Diagnostics: I paid a premium to have multiple parts replaced to fix an issue, only for the vehicle to die and strand me on the side of the road shortly after picking it up. He clearly never tested the system to ensure the repair actually worked. When I brought it back, he charged me hundreds of dollars extra to diagnose what they missed the first time--a completely damaged underlying component that should have been caught during the initial job. * Sloppy Mechanical Work: I paid over a thousand dollars in labor for a component installation. The very next day, it was actively leaking fluid all over my garage floor. When I confronted George about the sloppy installation, he denied even the possibility of it being his fault and he quoted me nearly the same amount just to fix the mistake. George claimed that since I had provided the part that he would not stand behind the work. When I took the car to another shop for repair they confirmed that it was not installed correctly and now the part stays completely dry. * Broken Promises: Beyond the mechanical incompetence, there is a total lack of respect for customer property. George explicitly agreed to keep my classic vehicle stored safely inside the shop to protect it. Instead, I caught them leaving it completely exposed outside in a torrential down pour. George charges grossly excessive prices for sub-par, careless work and then tries to charge you a second time to fix what he broke or missed. Save your money, your time, and your vehicle. Take your business anywhere else.

I brought in my own sway bar stabilizing link kit/parts which they were more than okay with accommodating. I also brought in a physical mail coupon for their shop which made the inspection and emissions test entirely free. They also have online coupons on their website that you can use. This is after I was quoted over $700 for replacement of bilateral front sway bar stabilization links by my Acura dealership. The total cost for all of the work, not including the sway bar kit that I brought in myself, was about $165.00. Very reasonable. The shop has multiple kinda of snacks, bottled water, coffee, etc available for use while waiting with free WiFi. The customer service is impeccable. The owner, a very informed and friendly middle eastern woman, was extremely helpful, knowledgeable, and accommodating. The owners and workers at the shop are open, honest, and efficient. In my opinion, this is the ideal local auto shop that anyone would be lucky to find. A diamond in the rough, truly. If I could give it 6 stars, then I would! I'll definitely be back, and you should too.

They're very thorough, if you didn't know it was broken, you'll learn very soon. So everything they pointed out in my car, specifically was a very truthful assessment. The lobby is nice, clean and will be back to assess the rest of my issues. Car related issues, not my I'm hungry issues.

I recommend you make an appointment at Hansons for your automotive needs. The owner, Jacob, is a solid guy and I think he does a great job at giving you a good price and getting your vehicle in and out. I spend half the month or more traveling for work so I don't always have the ability to leave my car for extended periods and Jacob always does his best to work with me. I'm happy with the service I receive and the cost. Unfortunately I do have to have my AC looked at and while car repairs always feel stressful to deal with, I know my car is always in great hands at Hansons. I try to support local and small businesses when able and I have found the price to be better at Hansons as well as my overall experience as well. My dad handles a lot of my car needs but even he's felt comfortable with me just swinging by Hansons instead!

In which I just had them diagnose & fix my cooling system issue with my radiator during the hot Summer of August! Pete, the Owner is very knowledgeable & very trustworthy that is rare in the Auto Mechanic Shop World today that has values in which shows on how he values his Customers! He's a great listener & applies your auto problems discription in your itnitial communication to help get the diagnosis right( the 1st time).. His shop hasn't given me a wrong diagnosed ever! I have learned that other auto Mechanical Shops in the area are in this business for gain & not caring to get a repeat customer back after ripping that customer off the first time... And, have mistreated their customers in order to make a quick buck, not with Pete! His shop is family Owned & his Dad is an old school Mechanic that is great & his mark is shown in Pete's character in which is very rare these days in trusting certain Business. During the Virus Pandemic they are very careful & respecful in handling your vehicle! I can tell you horror stories of bad mechanics that I have dealt with in the area as I have lived in the Clearlake area for 10 years now, in which I have gotten jipped/ ripped off repeatedly! Their prices is very reasonable! Pete keeps his word when he gives you a final price, it not bait & switch with him! I strongly suggest that anyone who has or had a problem with other auto mechanics shops being honest with you then by all means go to Pete at Protech Automotive Mechanic Shop & they will solve your Auto Mechanic needs honesty and quickly & at a very good price based on your auto needs.
