I called to see if anyone was in the office, and after no answer, left a message stating concern and displeasure and went home. When I returned to the office of the establishment the next day, I decided to just let it go, and simply asked for a door to be unlocked to reach my area, and said thank you at that time as well as when the older gentlemen opened the door upstairs. While walking down behind him, he stopped, turned to me and said, "are you the one who lectured us on the phone yesterday". Instead of going through a long write up, he became very belligerent with me, swearing, playing the "tough-guy" card, and posturing in a confrontational and aggressive pose (inflated chest, and taking a side-fighting stance). He told me there was an emergency and he was not going to call 250 people before he left. I said I understand but I work as a teacher and had worked as a bartender and know that there is always time to put a sticky note on the gate/door for the benefit of those that may unknowingly arrive. He stated that he had no obligation to do so and continued to ramp up the cussing and posturing. Completely shocked by the whole scenario, I still felt obligated to share my concern after my 1st days bad impression as a paying customer. Knowing that there was another employee listening at the door below, as well as myself being a teacher in an elementary school in the town, I was very cognizant and aware of what I was saying and how I was saying it. The one thing he brought up, which I did say I empathize with is that he said my message was offensive and his wife was upset over it. I told him that I was complete aware of what I said, and that I simply said that I was very displeased with this level of service on our very 1st day. And in turn, questioned him on what exactly that he was accusing me of saying that was offensive, he could not state anything to back up his "offensive" assertion, and as I said before, I realize that the recording would last, so I was careful with my message. He finally walked away after 10 minutes of berating me and directed me to by stating "put your %$#& in and get out". Being in my mid-40's, being a professional in the area, a father/husband, and having worked in customer service in years past, I am completely flabbergasted at the lack of professionalism, and the worker's belligerent nature. With the chance of my wife, children, and/or mother/father in law stopping in there without me, I am very concerned over his demeanor and actions. I would love to pull my stuff out, but logistically, that is easier said than done. What I would like is information on the owner so that I can speak with her/him to gain assurance of the verbal/physical safety of my family and the professionalism of the business relationship we share. I am not trying to tell anyone to not rent there, but to be aware of the nature of the older gentleman with the ponytail that works there. I did speak to my wife's relative who had a business in the area that recently sold it and moved down south, who also still has a unit or two there, and they stated that they have seen similar demeanor for the gentlemen. I get that there are honest discrepancies, I get that "things happen", but what I don't get is the verbal abuse and threatening stance of potential-impending physical assault. I want to see if it was just me, or if I caught him on a bad day. I guess we will see. If the owner does the right thing, and speaks with me, I will update this accordingly.

I didn't know where to start. First step was to buy boxes. I searched all over and U-Haul was the cheapest by far. Bonus - they'll refund anything you don't use. When I got to U-Haul, I was surprised by their level of inventory. I was still muddling around with what I'd need and Kylie and team offered suggestions on types, sizes and quantities. After I paid, they then loaded everything into my car for me. After two more trips to buy boxes, it was time to decide how I was going to get way too much stuff from here to there. Once again, Kylie asked me specifics of our move and offered suggestions for rentals. Weather was going to be a factor on both sides of the move and, once again, Kylie to the rescue. She worked out a rental schedule that gave us enough time to load, drive and unload all while avoiding the predicted bad weather. She also took the time to find discounts for our already massively over budget adventure. I've been singing the praises of Kylie but I'd be remiss if I didn't mention the rest of her staff. I was greeted with a smile every time I walked in. Everyone was friendly and kind which I really appreciated - just try moving your in-laws yourself - I needed a little kindness. I highly doubt I'll ever have another reason to make a move commencing in Latrobe, but if I do it will definitely start here.

Movers had no…read moreexperience moving items (uncovered mattress, face down on the sidewalk with the mover on top of it) They did not understand how to load a truck (small items were loaded first and not stacked). Claimed truck was 'full' despite being half full. Movers were instructed not to unload our items at our destination, UNTIL payment was made (which how can that be if time to unload was not accounted for?). Damaged walls and items. Had to call 2 friends to help unload the truck. Hands down the worst company I have ever worked with.We used them for a move on April 2024 to move our items from our townhome to a house that was 0.3miles away. The move took 6 hours longer than expected, despite having already broken items down and made them easily accessible. The moving crew had 0 equipment and were extremely unskilled in moving the most basic items, including a mattress. They called a week before the move to get an estimated list of items that I would need moved, during which on the phone call that I explained I was currently travelling and can only list of what large items come to mind and approximately 25-30 boxes for the miscellaneous items. There was no follow up email sent to gather a formal list of all the items needing moved. On moving day, movers were 2 hours late and 2/3 workers showed up in an unbranded moving truck that did not have a ramp. I walked the movers through our townhome and showed them everything that needed to be moved. However, it became very apparent that the movers had no experience in how to move out a house. They were unnecessarily wrapping things that didn't need to be wrapped, and did not know how to move a mattress as it took around 30 minutes to get it down 2 normal flights of stairs. It wasn't until hour 2 of 6 of moving out that the third mover showed up. They spent a total of 6 hours trying to move our well packaged and organized items out of the townhome. I spoke with Michael Dunne who asked me what is going on and why is it taking so long to move out. I explained that the movers were disorganized and lost with this move out process, and that the truck did not have a ramp. One of the movers came back to me and said that they couldn't take half of the items I showed them because it was 'not on the list' - the estimate list that I read out over the phone while travelling. We were 5 hours into this move out process that should've taken no more than 1.5-2 hours with any other company. They also claimed the truck was 'full' even though nothing was stacked. I also had to help them move some of the bigger items into the truck myself. 6 hours into the move, Michael Dunne called one of the workers and said they had to move onto the destination right up the street and start unloading. Extremely frustrated at this point, I agreed to move on and we'll come back for the other items ourselves - Michael Dunne got me to schedule another pickup in a few days, during which a $100 deposit was made. When we arrived at the unloading destination, the movers were instructed not to open the cargo door until a full payment of $2081 was made, PRIOR to unloading the items. This was around 2x what was quoted as they were charging for 'extra time' due to their inability to support a proper move-out. How do you know what to charge hourly if you haven't done the unloading process yet? They parked on a very busy street and not our driveway, despite me requesting the drivers to park in the driveway or even our front lawn. They refused, stating "we are not a traffic company, we are a moving company. F**k the traffic". Multiple items damaged, walls damaged, it took until 9:30pm (9.5 total hours) to have 75% of our items moved out of our townhome that we can still see out of the window from our new house. It took multiple emails and phone calls to cancel the follow up move and receive my $100 deposit back. I never received the signed contract at the time payment was made, and emails and phone calls have not been answered.
