My quote had 3 guys, but a 4th showed up to help unload at the new place. Very friendly and thoughtful people. As an aside- I recommend using rentacrate. The guys definitely seemed to appreciate the nice durable boxes with handles and it made everything really easy and quick. A little annoyed we got one minor ding in a wall, but over all. Didn't seem to bad. Over the weeks, we went to setup more rooms, more furniture, etc. A LOT of my furniture has new scratches and dents that I didn't notice from a quick glance. None of it catastrophic, but extremely frustrating. Despite this, they were still polite and professional. Didn't charge too much. A little more care, and it's be 5/5, perfect.

But if you just need boxes loaded and unloaded, and you don't mind supervising them, they were courteous, willing to follow instructions, and available fast. Politeness/courtesy: 10/10. Loading the truck: 9/10. Packing: 1/10, terrible. (Company sent completely untrained packers, they'd never packed before. They were trying, but didn't even know to put paper fill on the bottom or top of boxes, they were putting glasses sideways with heavier dishes on top, the works. I ended up largely packing myself.) Unloading: 7/10. (Several boxes were marked "top only," but they put in the boxes any which way so the labels weren't visible, and started stacking some boxes on "top only" ones. However, once I mentioned it, they did follow my instructions from then on. I think they were just inexperienced.) Ease of scheduling/availability: 10/10. (They were available same day.) I will say, this was an urgent job, so I knew to have lower expectations. But it's going too far for the company to send out packers with zero training for the job.

Whoever answered got super defensive and pretty combative so here we are with the review. They keep letting me know they aren't liable for anything. Like cool, I'm not trying to get any money. Just letting you know, as a business owner, what went down. Incoming is a super defensive response saying I didn't provide furniture pads or whatever. I predicted the super defensive response! They are lying below. I had pads. 2 packs of pads in the back of the uhaul. I said there were more in the basement if they needed them. One of the guys definitely asked if I had an S.O., said something about my toes (weird) and some other stuff. I'm obviously not going to say something while by myself with them standing right there. I tried to keep this just between me and the owner but here we are slinging mud. Best to stay away, lots of drama. Btw - the exercise bike had wheels and they agreed to move it before I signed the contract.

They will also hand you a "contract" that they believe to be legally binding, however it will be handed to you last minute and you'll be told to sign or they will leave. My advice is to review how toxic the owners responses are, take a picture of the u-haul they rent's license plate, and request verification of their "insurance and bonded" paperwork. What you do after they damage your belongings is call u-haul. They will provide you with all of the information directly. You then file with YOUR local magistrate under a civil matter. THEY ARE REGISTERED OUT OF BUCKS COUNTY. They take possession of your belonging's which encumbrances their auto insurance policy. Its the law. U-haul will have that on file and easily hand it to you :)

The pins needed to hold up the shelves are missing. Isaiah told me they were in my old home office tape together in a ball. I went back there and found nothing anywhere I looked. Afraid to sleep on either bed that they reassembled. I removed the photos and changed the rating because Jerome from Moving ahead did an excellent job of correcting all our issues. I view the measure of a company not only on the original work but how they handle any issues that occur from the move. Moving Ahead Services did an excellent job correctly every issue we had. With outside costs the full move came out to around 500$, and a little bit of my time to pack. I spent a good bit of time packing my dishes and other fragile items well. I also left a couple items behind (TV without a box + a family heirloom painting) to move by myself just so I knew there was no chance they could be damaged. Guys showed up on time, were careful with my belongings, and very efficient. No breaks to dishes or damage to furniture. They even helped me maneuver a 17ft uhaul through some tight alleys and loading docks, which was greatly appreciated. Only thing I wish was different was if they could prorate the labor costs. We got everything moved and unloaded into the new unit in the time window I scheduled, which was exactly what I hired them for because I could not do that myself. But I could have used 15-30 more minutes to help arrange furniture and whatnot. I couldn't bring myself to pay for a full hour for something that wouldn't take an hour with the guys helping, and which I could do myself with a little more effort. I definitely would've paid for a 15-30 extra minutes it took if they let me but wasn't gonna pay for the full hour. I would fully recommend, the guys showed up on time, did the job I hired them for, and did it without breaking my stuff at a better rate than any of the other movers I was looking at.

I called the 800 number and was met with a most helpful agent. Everything was set up in minutes! The pod was delivered on time. The driver was very friendly and pleasant. The pod was delivered as scheduled in Tn and on time. Communication was great throughout the entire process! I would definitely give the company a 5 star rating and if I ever need to move anything again I will not use any other company except U-Pack moving. Great experience!!!

Our new house was not ready, so, U-Pack held our items for 2 months, then we made a simple call and they delivered the next day in our driveway. we unloaded and called them to pick up the empty bins. The contract was easy to understand, the phone service was great, and the drivers were awesome. Our belongings were intact and NOTHING was damaged. We highly recommend this company.
